I was on the floor. This almost makes up for being carpet-bombed with whump for the last month. Noshir, for the laughter and the tears: thank you. This has been awesome.

Well Arthur, the way I figure it there’s two good things about huntin’ legendary gators. One, they’re so damn big even you can’t miss. And two, I can run faster than you.

So when you asked me to make you fire arrows, you wanted them for hunting, why? Yeah, I know they look cool, Arthur, but—(Charles sighs) Jesus.

Yep but let's also look at what he needed to protect Jack, it was because John had shot the other man's... What was it brother? Cousin? Family of some sort. And why did he shoot the guy? Because he looked at John funny. So literally, John was the instigator, and he wouldn't have had protect Jack if he hadn't started this shit.

Some people act like Abigail wasn't patient enough with John, and that she was rash and rude. They seem to forget how goddamn patient Abigail has been. There is an 8-year timeskip between the end of the main story in rdr2 and the epilogue. She has been more than patient and I hate when people act like she was mean and didn't give John any time.

Not to mention even before the epilogue, Jack is FOUR!!! It took John FOUR years to even really acknowledge he's a father.

Please please go throw money at @noshirdalal over at his newly established cameo. He’s such a talented and dedicated artist who really brought Charles to life and I love everything about this insane five minute monologue he made in response to my joke prompt. The pathos. The catharsis.

This is the only thing I’m going to be able to think about the rest of the week. I have so many questions. Starting with, of course: What did Charles do to his father, and what were the circumstances where Charles told Dutch about it, when that’s not something even Arthur seems to know?
