This week's rain has brought back to life the #poppies of the #olivegroves. In Catalan, we call them different names like "rosella", "galleret" or even "quiquiriqui". As children, we played a guessing game with the poppies' unopened buds: we had to guess whether the flower inside was a roaster (red color), a hen (pink) or a chick (white). The chick (the smallest and more immature bud) was somewhat easier for older children. The roaster and hen we still find them tricky today 😅 #oliveoilcountry #winecountry (en La Pobla de Cérvoles)
