I see the posts about Kate’s family and went to wiki to learn more about them. I hope they make some day a docu about the Middletons, Luptons and Goldsmith’, because there are many interesting biographies, especially in the Lupton family.

Ancestors of the Duchess of Cambridge

Several of the Duchess of Cambridge’s ancestors have been discovered on newsreels within the British Pathé film library. (source)

Lord Mayor of Leeds (1915) + The Lord Mayor, Sir Charles Lupton is the Duchess of Cambridge’s great-great-great uncle. The footage also shows the Duchess’ great-great grandfather, Francis Lupton who was the brother of Sir Charles Lupton. Sir Charles’ other two brothers, Arthur and Hugh, are also in the film and they are the Duchess’ other great-great-great uncles.

Armistice Day (1926) + The Lady Mayoress, Isabella Lupton, is the Duchess of Cambridge’s great-great-great aunt and she was married to Lord Mayor Hugh Lupton.

Princess Mary (1927) + This footage again shows the Duchess’ great-great-great uncle and aunt the Lord Mayor of Leeds Hugh Lupton and Lady Mayoress Isabella Lupton greeting Princess Mary. Princess Mary was King George VI’s sister and is therefore Prince William’s great-great Aunt.

Duke’s Successful Tour (1962) + The Duchess’ Grandfather, Peter Middleton, can be seen in this film (second gif). Middleton was the First Officer Duke of Edinburgh’s two month 1962 tour of South America. Prince Philip piloted many of the flights and often flew with Middleton.
