Editing (Or maybe proofreeding) My Zeus story this month.

My annotated Dracula has informed me that when Harker said his robber steak was “in the style of the London cat’s-meat!” he was referring to “A tradition in London was the “cat’s-meat man,” a vendor who sold little bits of meat on skewers for consumption by cats”

I am overjoyed by this knowledge that there were Victorians just randomly getting lil kebabs for their CATS

Camp Nanowrimo ended. Did actually manage to finish editing the 2nd draft.

no idea what I should do next. Ask dad to look over... find an editor... IDK.

April's coming up. AKA 'Camp Nanowrimo. Will be attempting to edit the second draft of this Zeus story.

Gonna break from editing for a bit. Need an outsiders opinion on which ending to choose anyway.

Editing is hard. Burning out is now fun. Could only do about 1 hour and 1/2 of editing yesterday.

Started editing my story about Zeus a couple of weeks ago.

Was able to increase the word count by a couple thousand give or take. (Added a couple extra scenes, and character descriptions that I had neglected the first time around) Hopefully I'll have been able to up the word count to 40,000 by the time I'm done.

I don't think it will be ready for publishing come February 10th... but hopefully it will be better than it was.

FINISHED MY NOVEL! WOOOO!

It is now in a folder entitled "Leave Alone for Three Months" and in around March I will open it again and start editing.

In the mean time starting January I have plans to edit the first story in the series. The story I wrote about Zeus.

Less than 500 words to go. In the middle of the epilogue.

WOOO! Passed 48400.

The battle's been won, the villains have had there punishment's doled out and now all that's left is the coronation, the epilogue and then I am DONE this draft! WOOOOOO!

4500 words to go

The final fight is over, (probably going to have to make things more interesting during the editing but for now, it's over) now all that's left is the denouement.

No idea how I'm going to make the denouement last 4500 words, but fortunately I do have a few things that do need wrapping up. So hopefully I can get the story to 50000 words (and possibly past it).

I was on a zoom call for a virtual (slightmore than) half way party for NaNoWriMo, and one of the questions was... "Would you rather be forgotten in 10 years, or hatefully remembered."

And I was like "Well are the people who hate me still buying my books cause if that's the case as long as I'm still cashing in royalty check who cares?"

(But also.... I dislike being hated so I was alot more on the fence about this question then I was.)

NaNoWriMo Update

Almost at 42000 getting the characters in place for the final fight, there is absolutely no way this is going to end in 50,000 words, but I have 6 days so hopefully. The story will be ended in 6 days regardless.

Wish me luck! I'll need it. Especially considering fight scenes aren't really my thing (Though I've already written a few for this story already).

The Nanowrimo region I live in has a 'catch up day' goal where basically you write 3334 words in one day. And I was going to attempt to finish that goat today but given that I'm only at 1784 words and it's almost 9PM I doubt I'm going to succeed.

Oh well there's always next weekend.

(And for those curious, in total I'm past 35000 words. Hestia and her sisters have met Oceanus and his wife and are staying with them for a while.)
