Day 28 of Daily Sketches. I experimented with simple character designs for a bat. It was a fun exercise to do with index cards because they’re small and you can get a lot for cheap.

Day 27 of Daily Sketches. I did another life drawing today, I’m not really happy with it. I’m gonna use more reference lines for the eye positioning and push the blacks more next time.

Day 23 of Daily Sketches. I’m really tired from finishing a big school project, so I did another quick ear study to experiment with color and to see if I’ve improved.

Day 22 of Daily Sketches. Mouth study!!! I had a lot of fun painting this sketch. I thought it would be better to frame the paintings on my sketches inside a circle. It feels like a mini-painting. lol

Day 21 of Daily Sketches. I did a study of the mouth today and it was a challenge! Lol I can already see improvement in my coloring of skin. I’m gonna challenge myself with another one with dark skin tomorrow.

Day 19 of Daily Sketches. I started sketching my studies first then start painting a copy right after. Hopefully, my workflow gets faster so I can paint more than one ear in an hour. Lol

Day 20 of Daily Sketches. I did a portraiture with a live model today, in my favorite medium, charcoal!!

Day 18 of Daily Sketches. I did a hour of ear studies today. I decided to sketch with a dark blue color instead of dark gray which seems more appealing to me. I might start using a larger brush size for sketch shading. We’ll see on tomorrow’s sketch!! Follow me on Instagram
