I love playing FFXV whilst streaming to my friends because we get to react to a myriad of things together, primarily the pure dread from everyone involved when I as Noctis get repeatedly put in charge of the Regalia. I am the last person who should be put in charge of driving, I rely on Ignis for a reason. I got my first game over in that quest where you have to follow Ardyn in the car because I fucked up so bad and couldn't catch up by the time I righted myself.

assigning the ffxv characters eurovision 2024 songs just because the vibes were similar:

prompto argentum: nemo - the code.

yeah this song is about being non-binary but i think the mention of binary code really fits prompto. like... he literally has a code on his wrist because he was born to be an mt. and when he learned about it he wasn't sure his friends would accept him. and his "paradise" is his friends.

noctis lucis caelum: mustii - before the party is over

"they told us it was paradise, but i'll barely make it through the night". like yeah. nobody tells noctis shit and he literally has to die to save the world. the "party" here is his life.

lunafreya nox fleuret: luna - the tower

"broken bodies", "lonely hours leading to my destiny", "i'm the one who holds the power". just seems "lunafreya" enough for me. also the name of the artist is literally luna how did i not notice it sooner 😭

ardyn izunia: bambie thug - doomsday blue

this song just gives off ardyn vibes. no further comment. it's just the vibes

i don't know what's going on with my top 10 anymore, all songs just keep rotating in my brain. tomorrow this top will 100% be different again

my eurovision 2024 top 10 as of today... really random because a week ago i didn't care about belgium or luxembourg at all, i thought belgium was overrated, and now i am kinda obsessed with this song. luxembourg is kinda like sweden here, i don't think it's a particularly good song but it's stuck in my head for some reason. however, the lyrics of swedish song are so bad i can't give them more than 1 point lmao. norway is just a song i haven't listened to much before and now i do. i always liked ireland's song, i just hope their vocals are better than at the nf. finland is just really fun. lithuania is still cool but i just don't find myself listening to it much these days. armenia is fun but same. switzerland is great but seems like too much, you know? there's a lot of stuff and it's a bit overwhelming.

I found this while doing a search to see if anyone had maybe started a petition to hopefully get the Moogle Chocobo Carnival and Assasins Festival DLCs back. (Even if we have to purchase them.)

decided to return to twitter for a day to look at eurovision rehearsals photos and god i was so right to leave this wretched place. the photo: baby lasagna's outfit. the comments: this is so bad, disgusting, barbara dex award, etc. and his outfit is excellent?? what the fuck is wrong with people. his outfit gives traditional slavic clothes with some metal music approach. i think this is brilliant. twitter is truly a garbage dump

i feel like sometimes ukraine's eurovision entries are a bit overrated just because we are ukraine, never had a nq, always bring quality, etc.. what i mean is i really don't like teresa & maria. i don't feel the personal connection between the artists and the story they tell. that's why i am still dumbfounded why so many people like it.

there's a reason why i voted for melovin during vidbir. right before the performance, melovin told the audience why he wrote his song, what is the meaning behind it. he told us how he went to a certain writer's grave, asked him for inspiration and later wrote "dreamer". i feel the connection between the song and its lyrics. it's personal for melovin. i can empathize with that.

when asked about the meaning of the song, jerry heil and alyona alyona gave different answers. which can be true, they are different people after all. but jerry heil's answer didn't feel solid to me. it's like they just took two famous christian female figures and made a song that is supposed to have a deep meaning. the key word is "supposed". maybe alyona alyona does believe in what is singing about, i don't know. but i don't sense it from jerry.

there's a lot of songs that don't fail in this aspect this year. veronika feels so real when raiven sings "i am, you are veronika". i believe her. i believe she is veronika. i know i am veronika.

rim tim tagi dim hits home for so many slavic people. for me especially. i didn't leave my small ukrainian town yet but it could happen. if we lose this war i'm gonna have to leave my hometown. it's different, i know, but so similar. i have friends who live in different countries now, and it wasn't their choice. they just couldn't stay in ukraine. they want to go home, but they can't.

the next example is gonna feel random, no doubt. no rules. the song is about staying true to yourself, having no rules. do i have rules? yes. is having no rules something i can grasp? yes. the song doesn't have to be about something i've experienced to reach me. it just has to be real.

i don't feel anything like that when listening to teresa & maria. i understand the intention but it doesn't work for me. also wanna mention the fact that teresa was a controversial figure and singing about her and mother mary is kinda weird.

(it's not an attack on jerry heil & alyona alyona, i will always support our artists on eurovision, after all, most of the country voted for them)
