Cosplay plans

Tentative idea: Geno from Super Mario RPG. I tried this cosplay once years ago and it didn't work out. Never made it onto the con floor despite being mostly finished. It just didn't work. So... I might try again.

I have until mid July to solidify a decision (the con is December, I'm trying to give myself plenty of time here on account of school becoming increasingly intense). There is always a chance that something else will come along and inspire me before then. But until/unless that happens, I'm planning on Geno.

Regardless, is anyone actually interested in like...WIPs of cosplays from July to completion? Otherwise I probably will only post the finished project.

Amber suffers from grand mal seizures. Her service Pokemon, Jelly the Ditto, recognizes her aura, acts as a cushion during episodes, and soothes her during recovery. It will also fiercely defend her while she’s helpless, transforming if needed.

Trainer Marnie wants to battle! But she’s kind of got it in for you, too, not just your Pokemon.

Part of the Darkest Day medieval AU RP, Viscountess Marnie of Spikemuth uses both throwing and combat knives to lay enemy soldiers low. She is fearless and practical, often exasperated by her gentler brother on the field. Like a Morpeko, she can go from calm to murderous in an instant.

I named her Morpeko 'Bean'. Bean’s also a boy because when I started I completely forgot Marnie’s Morpeko was actually a girl, but I guess it’s not that important, so I just rolled with it because it was too late to correct it. In the end, Bean’s gender is ‘Pokemon’ anyway lol.

Clay the Mudsdale is a lot like Piers’s chosen weapon. Slow to start, but becomes unstoppable once up to speed. Normally pulls the wagon, but can be a war mount in a pinch…

Seth getting the, "He's not a Sonic character but I'm going to give him a Sonic representation anyway" treatment because it's a sickness or something.

Well of COURSE he’s a unicorn. He is, however, also half dragon, which gives him sharp teeth and the ability to breathe lightning. Because I can do that if I want to. Try and stop me.

Seris, an apparent amnesiac whose only clue to himself is a broken pocket watch with thirteen numbers.

I call him my ‘semi-OC’ because he’s meant to be a canon character in a different form, and of course, has no idea who he actually is yet. Doesn't help that his appearance changed from his original form as well, which makes it hard for anyone else to identify him. Anyway, he ends up distinct from the canon character, developing into a different person based on his experiences as Seris. When he regains his memories, he'll have to figure out what parts of the new personality are compatible with who he really is.

Konstantin is Ring Man in his native universe and an android anywhere he's used as an OC, so he's one of my canon/OC hybrids, I guess. Has upgraded and redesigned armor in the Megaman X era, thanks to his Dr. Cossack descendant.

Very skilled in combat. Flashy and friendly but does not believe in mercy to his enemies. Able to generate metal-eating ring weapons made of nanomachines. Loves the planet Saturn because...yanno...ring. His weakness is high-energy weaponry, such as his brother's Pharaoh Shot, because it destructively disrupts his nanite generators.

Terrified of kids, the younger they are, the worse the fear. For him, they hit the same 'uncanny valley' for him that dolls, monkeys, or not-quite-truly-human-level-intelligence robots do for some other people. (Yes, he finds Megaman/Rock creepy as a result lol) Otherwise, he's confident to a fault.

Meredith!

Age: 12

Meredith is a young saluki who loves theater and wants to be a famous actress when she grows up. She also enjoys clarinet and generally being an annoying little sister. She hates math and most vegetables. She has an older brother, Chandler, and after their parents passed, he took over raising her. Meredith is the only one capable of bringing Chandler back out of his berserker state once it's been triggered.
