i’m playing spy for the first time (i know, i know - i ran into some issues around high school and college that kept me from playing the newer ones) and holy shit my gay little heart is hurting for moira.

am i the only one that thinks they were a thing? and easily have more chemistry than kate and carson? kate clearly loved nancy dearly, and i’m sure she and carson had their moments, but she and moira had something special. something moira still holds onto, i think. like the journal entries moira wrote in kate’s old fake journal in the safe?????? OW

even moira’s interactions w nancy feel like a mother separated from a child at an early age and just wanting to take everything back. also can’t help but notice that moira has a picture of kate and nancy on her mantle in a gentle, intimate sort of framing. not a family picture of kate and nan and carson, just kate and the baby. kinda feels like something a partner would keep.

not to say that carson didn’t care about kate though - he seems to have loved her more than he can really bear to say. i mean, he couldn’t stand to talk about it until now, when nancy is like, what. 20? old enough to go to scotland by herself and not tell anybody. and the ending definitely gave me a sad little smile.

so basically kate drew is a bisexual icon and both of her long-term partners are so torn up and miss her so much and i am in pain

i never use this blog but i wanna dump my MID trailer thoughts here because i’m both excited and salty

i mean first off holy shit release date?? i wasn’t expecting spring anymore bc it’s fuckin may but a specific date is more than we’ve ever gotten before!! and i’m excited to see an update that has even a sliver of game footage and isn’t another goddamn character.

but uh

past that

i’m gonna be honest guys the animation really doesn’t look all that different from the last few games. and i’m honestly kinda disappointed about it. i wouldn’t necessarily want it to be a completely different style but they had 4 years to polish this shit and i’m really not that impressed with this teaser. i hope they give us more so we can really get a sense of the game before people start pre-ordering.

and like full stop if this game isn’t atmospheric and engaging and on the long end, i don’t think i’ll be on board anymore. :/ they can’t string us along for 4 years and then give us a disappointing game.

so i guess tl;dr hey at least this scrap has a release date scribbled on it
