It's the next installment of my Ottoman Fantasy comic The Alchemist of Aurillia! Nuriye is a wizard in training, learning the ins and outs of magic from the court wizard Master Ekber. But she'd much rather have her head in a book reading about magic than  actually practicing it. But when the palace is attacked by mysterious outsiders, Nuriye becomes part of a desperate fight to defend her home and save her teacher!

Hey all! It's that awesome time again. Time for The Alchemist of Aurillia to come back with it's latest installment in issue 2!

If you love Black Ball, then you'll also love The Alchemist of Aurillia. Nuriye is a wizard in training in a fantasy world based on the Ottoman Empire. In issue 1, we saw her compulsively summon her own familiar, Shale, in the hopes of becoming a powerful wizard. Disappointingly, Shale is just a small lantern sprite, and Nuriye doesn't have near enough skill to really understand magic yet. The two learned to work together and survived their first challenge, but now their world is about to get a whole lot bigger!

When two dangerous intruders attack the palace, Nuriye and Shale will once again have to defend their home. But they're not alone this time! They'll have "help" from Aiza, a sword wielding princess intent on having an audience with the Sultan. Can they defeat their foes and save Nuriye's teacher Master Ekber? Will Aiza get to meet with the Sultan? Will Raziol ever catch a break?

It's been awhile! But two fulfilled kickstarters and one dead computer later, I'm back!

I've actually been doing A LOT of comic work while not posting actively. The Black Ball issue 3 Kickstarter was successfully fulfilled, but during that process the motherboard on my computer went, so I had to get it sent back to the manufacturer to be fixed. We were also looking to again at the time so it was a bit chaotic then.

Not So Fair Tales

Next I did a comic for the upcoming anthology Not So Fair Tales a fairy tale themed anthology where every story has a twist! My tale is a retelling of the not so well known story Coat of Rushes. A theatrical prince is convinced he can find the perfect wife in 3 days, but will he miss out on a practical but loyal friend who's right in front of him?

That anthology will be out later this month!

The Alchemist of Aurillia #2

Currently I'm working on the next issue of The Alchemist of Aurillia. This next issue really kicks off the main plot, and having actually planned out the entire series ahead of time I can tell you it gets really good.

Just from penciling, I can tell this is going to be some of my best art yet.

For the time being, we shouldn't have any interruptions with updates, so enjoy the next big chunk of Black Ball!
