I just... I can't believe this is the timeline we're on.

I'm so tired, ya'll.

How did we get here?

The worst part is that I know that if we stop caring, nothing is going to get better. If we stop keeping up with things, if we become apathetic then we lose. Then there really will be no coming back.

This is what I tell myself, this is what I will keep telling myself, and what I hope everyone else out there hears.

It's okay if you need to unplug for a bit, rest, block out the world for a couple days. I won't fault you for that. Honestly, I probably need to do that myself. But we need to stay in this fight, keep holding them accountable for their shit.

I'm so frustrated. But we all saw the crowds at No Kings. We're not alone. We are not fighting this battle alone.

ok so like. wicked. we all know the wizard's an asshole, yeah? jackass who would rather invent fascism than admit he's jared, 19. real fuckin loser. However. i've been thinking about it, and really his main personality trait + motive is that he's a people-pleaser above all else. literally desperate to be liked, and even when he's at his most liked he's lonely and sad alone in his palace. his fault but not the point here. anyway but not only is he a desperate people-pleaser he also really wants to be a family man, there's literally no other reason for "sentimental man" than establishing that, yeah? except he made himself too important for people to ever consider to be on their level. again, his fault, the idiot, but again not the point. what i'm getting at is that like. hands-down the funniest fix-it for the musical at least for me rn is the idea that he finds and picks up elphaba when she's like. 7-8. old enough to have been bullied and radicalized. because she's an outspoken stubborn little shit and the wizard is already a massive pushover but ADD TO THAT that she is his daughter who he's absolutely going to spoil and lavish with attention because he wants her love back AND she's got big sad puppy eyes and you have a recipe for her lowkey ending the wizard's reign of terror on complete accident. this little girl who was only shown kindness by one (1) bear is like "hey mister wizard-dad can you stop oppressing the animals" and mr wants-to-be-a-girldad-so-bad is like "yeah ok whatever you say honey <3" and madame morrible just has to be like "bitch. what"

Wow they finally announced the remake of P4G. Say hello to Persona 4 Revival y’all!

While I’m bummed about them not using the Golden cast…. Admittedly though I’m also interested to see who they got for Revival. I mean, the cast was pretty incredible in P3 Reload. Wonder if any of the Golden cast is coming back.

One line I’m looking forward to in Part 2 is when Glinda throws Morrible in jail and is like “how do you think you’d fair in captivity? Prison. It is my opinion that you do not have what it takes. I hope you prove me wrong. I doubt you will!”

Because there are a couple different ways Ariana could play this.

In the stage show Morrible is very campy and over the top. Her turn right before Defying Gravity comes as less of shock in the stage show because of this and she delivers her scathing line to Glinda with great comedic effect. So when Glinda turns that sentiment back on her at the end of the show Glinda, most of the time, makes the line just as comedic.

But Movie Morrible is softer spoken. Michelle has a fantastic balance of motherly kindness that’s hiding all that sinister intent so the twist usually comes as a surprise to movie only people. She says her version of the “I hope you prove me wrong, I doubt you will” line that makes you go “damn woman that’s cold.”

So I’m wondering if Ariana’s delivery will mirror more of Michelle’s because I could so see her killing a more serious line read here. Not completely devoid of humor but definitely a little smug. You know?
