Dark as midnight, sharp as steel, every spike you wear is real!

Witches fly and ghosts appear, but my Spikes are what they fear!

Final result of 'Bridals', are you curious about next one of a kind shoe project?

Time to write a few more words about these shoes and clutch bag. It was a bit hard to come back after so many months to a project that was already started before, I prefer to start and finish working on something instead of coming back to something after a few months break. Another difficult thing for me was that if I had to start working on this project from the beginning, I would make many things totally different! Next disturbing thing was that from the beginning something was missing for me in this whole idea inspired by architecture and weddings. When shoes were almost ready, I found out what it was and made a clutch bag. This made me feel that the project is complete and done, and that shoes will take their place on shelve just next to previous projects.

On three last slides you may see the whole three photos in their basic 3:2 ratio, on previous slides same as on previous posts with them, you may see frames made from these photos.

Just before finishing them :) In the second photo I tried to catch how I solved the problem with the little gap that was between 'layers' by filling it with elastic string. Are they walkable? I don't know! :D I wasn't even trying, to be sure that I will not destroy them. However, for me it is still more important to create some vision and whole photo composition instead of making full usable shoes.

The most ridiculous thing about this project is that I made sketches of them at the end of last summer, leave it for few months, and came back to this project and finished it at the end of April this year, and photos of them I took at the beginning of May.

And this is my favorite photo of the Fury Furs and finally they were named: Grin and Smiley :)

Fury Furs are looking for their names!

Furs need names! Those furs are two and both need names! If you have any idea what names I should give them you can share it in the comments. All suggestions are welcome :)

p.s. yes, they are incredibly soft and fluffy, it's like having mascots on legs :)))

They are awesome!

The idea for these shoes was born in my head a few months ago, a sketch also was made some time ago. Idea was to make them after "Bridals"and show them to the world at Halloween for the first time. But as you already know, the whole idea about "Bridals" changed and evolved...

But let's focus on this project, I didn't share or say even a word about them before, because till the last moment I wasn't sure if I will have enough time to make them. But for the last two weeks in every spare moment I was working on them and finally on this Tuesday, after 22 hours of working with almost non breaks I was going to sleep with an extremely big smile on my face looking at... my new favorite shoes! (when you gonna see the final result you will understand why I so much fell in love with them lol!)

My first idea was to make (similar as with "Lollipops") four stopmotion videos but this time, showing the creation process at first three of them and the final result on the last one. But during making the first chapter I realized that making it this way will longer process so much - that it wouldn't be possible to finish them before Halloween.

However... for this moment shoes are done... three stop motions videos also are done. And of course I will try to make the 4th video and photos that I was planning to make But for this I need to make manicure and pedicure, make some decorations and few other things. So still not sure if it will be possible to make all things that I planned. But this way or another - you will surely see the final result just in the next few days... And from tomorrow day by day you will be able to watch their story.

Continuation of making 'Bridals'

Because I am working on few things at once progress with 'Bridals' goes little bit slowly. However thing about which I am really happy is that now I am sure that my general conception about them is possible to make. On the photo you can see first fitting of the 'heel'.

Continuation of making shoes.

I decided to cover the shoe elements with synthetic leather, both the 'upper' and 'lower' parts. Due to a recent work overload, it's been challenging to find time for the project, but in my spare moments, I try to make progress with it. The idea related to 'Bridalsa' has evolved a bit, but I'll write about that in the next post. I'm heading back to work now, and I wish you a pleasant day!
