Came back to this blog after who knows how long to clean up, I went from nearly two hundred people I was following down to 57. The question now I guess is just trying to decide whether it’s worth keeping this blog around. I still like the characters and their set-up is easy enough to turn into some fandomless rp blog, but I’m not sure if I want to go through the effort. Hmm.

“Y’know, maybe one day I will. Just down the line, when I’m done with it all.” Distant, dreamy. Their tone of voice almost seemed to suggest that they didn’t really believe in their own retirement, but it was a nice thought. 

“‘Sides, I figure the real deal’s better than some words written on a page. One think t’hear about somethin’, another t’actually see it in action, y’know?” They laughed, “And I can’t reveal my tricks while I’m still relevant like that, that just plain takes all the fun out of it.”

“I don’t kiss and tell, darlin’.” A wink.

The mischevous grin that played on their expression and the reach for their sleeve was enough to suggest they had something prepared- until the smile dropped.

“I’m actually quite sad I don’t already have that trick up my. Well, in my arsenal.” Their attention jumped to the book. “Gotta say, though. Didn’t think there were many a these ‘round anymore. Almost thought ‘bout writin’ one or two ‘a my own, but I ain’t willin’ t’kill my career yet.”

“Oh, of course you don’t-” It was hard not to roll her eyes again, but Laura managed. Instead, she merely chuckled, glad the gift was appreciated.

“I figured if anyone could get some use out of it, it’d be use… If you have more tricks than are in it, though, I’d definitely suggest writing your own. This world could certainly use some more positivity- and magic happens to bring that… It wouldn’t be a waste.”

I’m also tying my own absence into the new arc of these nerds, so here’s some details, for your consideration:

-Both of them, and a couple other of their Company, seemed to disappear off the face of the planet without warning. The rooms that they had been staying in have remained untouched, even over the course of time they have been absent. If asked around for where they’ve been, no one seems to have an answer.

-Alycia made a sudden reappearance, and recently had an excellent show to celebrate her return. Her wounds have healed completely now, and she is overall in much better health than she has been. She has more tattoos, along her shoulders and extending on towards her arms and hands. She now has a ghostly white borzoi, that follows her loyally everywhere she goes.

-The last known sighting of Pandora was wherein they had been asking around for bodyguards to accompany them on their newest endeavor. Some building a decent way aways, that had stolen their curiosity. If asked about it, they simply claimed that it was ‘somethin’ they needed to do’.

-Pandora is still notably absent.

Where I’ve been, the future of this blog, and other shenanigans

So I’ve been absent this past month. Actually, I think I’ve been fairly lacking in activity before hand, but I was pretty gone for the entirety of October. Without going into too much detail, that hiatus was the culmination of a lot of real-life choices and events coming up and affecting me, and either seasonal or plain ol’ regular Depression taking a swing at me and making my already previous thoughts of feeling out of place even Worse. It’s been a while since I’ve really felt like I’ve had a place in the fallout fandom, and even in the friend group I’ve joined from it. But that’s a whole other thing that you’d have to talk to me personally if you want to know the boring details. 

Point is, it’s a new month, I’ve figured some of my personal shit out, and I’d say all-in-all, I’m in a better headspace than I have in a long time, and I think I’m ready to return to my blogs. I think I’m going to drop most of my threads, but there are some I might be interested in continuing, if my partners are. I’m also considering shifting this pair over towards being something of more fandomless ocs, although I think that was already the direction I was heading in.

Also! To celebrate my return, and try to prevent stagnation, I’m likely going to start by kicking off a new ‘arc’ for these two, the details of which will be stated eventually. I’m excited to figure this out, but a lot of it is me playing this by ear. We’ll see how it goes!

Anyway, I’m glad to be back. I’ll catch you nerds soon.

I feel like I should stop putting it off, and just announce that I’m probably going to be on hiatus for the rest of the month. Lotta Life things going on on my side of the fence which have kind of excited me but also mostly bummed me out, so I want to… I guess deal with that. 

As always though, mutuals can message me to ask for my skype or discord if they want to keep in contact with me. Until then, Hope y’all have fun without me.

“Oh… Really?” Alia frowned at that- yes, it would be incredibly awkward if they were vying for the same technology… “Who sent you?” Was it the Brotherhood? That would be more than awkward- if Elder Lyons knew she was helping the Outcasts… Well, she could only imagine the disappointment in his eyes. 

“And what for? I was- I was just hoping that there’d be some scrap metal and maybe some sensor modules…” It was unlikely there would be any power armor within the old building, right? That seemed a bit too much to expect… 

“My Patrons.” They answered simply.

“They’ve got me lookin’ for research, mostly. Not sure how much I’m allowed to talk about.” They took a breath to steel themselves, and stood, bracing themselves against the wall when they threatened to lose balance. “Don’t look like our interests are in conflict, though. And I guess if it turns out they are, you could always just shoot me again.”

They laughed at their own joke, and began taking a few limping steps towards their destination, determined to make up the time they had lost. It took more than a few seconds for them to stop, and turn back when they realized their mistake. Skipped a step there, didn’t you?

“Oh. I should prob’ly ask you if you wanted to team up before makin’ any assumptions, huh?”
