The amazingly talented @mizoreyukii not only figured out how to fix the two Rustic Romance lights that didn’t have a pie menu but also updated them for me. I cannot thank her enough. Seriously, wow!

Updated OTG Lights

I’ve updated all my off-the-grid lights. I figured out how to allow previously electric lights to be turned on/off etc. without acting as candles, have made sure all actual candles are candles and have fixed tags for all lights. If you have any of them downloaded, please redownload.

The one issue I’ve encountered is that I can’t get the pie menu to show up for the ceiling lights in Rustic Romance (the ivy chandelier and the hanging lanterns). I’m going to need to ask some more experienced modders for help with that since I’m basically learning as I go. However, they are still affected by other lights+candles when using options such as turn on/off… > all lights/this room.

Very minor update. I noticed the swatches were all tagged as “white”, so I fixed that.

I made these add-on swatches for @natalia-auditore’s Arachne set because the spikes reminded me of spiny orb-weavers. Add-ons for kids and toddlers are included as well.

Leafy Sea Dragon Set

This is the most complex, beautiful and unique tail (set) I’ve ever made PLUS I (yes, socially awkward me) collaborated with someone else! My first collab yay!

This set includes:

- 1 Leafy Sea Dragon Tail (F)

- 1 Leafy Sea Dragon Tail (M)

- 1 “Antenna” accessory (base game and both frames)

- 1 “Wings” accessory (base game and both frames)

- 1 Top (base game and I suggest F only)

- 1 Bottom (base game and I also suggest F only if you don’t use the junk hider with WW cause IT WILL LOOK WEIRD)

- 1 Top + Bottom (again is base game and potentially made mostly for F)

- 1 Mouth preset from the great GrimGuide that you can follow here https://grimguide.tumblr.com/ if you do not already.

All except the preset come in 30 swatches of 3 different variants (spotted, stripped + spotted a little and just stripped)

Aight so here are the bad things now, some issues that are there and I couldn’t (for now) fix:

These holes aren’t always there (depends on the sims’ weight), am no 3D modeler professional so if you can live with them then me too.

Everything was hand drawn (again, with a simple mouse) and the base meshes used were from the game itself.

Off-the-Grid Typewriter v.3 (BGC)

September 15, 2021 Edit: Version 3 is now out! Please replace any previous versions with MadameRiaTypewriterOTGv3. You cannot have both in your game at the same time!

What’s new in version 3:

Freelance writing career should now be fully functional! My testing abilities were not so great when I first made this mod, and I completely missed how the game checks for objective completion. This should be resolved now.

Basically a re-do of the custom tuning, making it much simpler thanks to @ravasheencc​‘s help

This typewriter uses custom tuning. It may be updated to adapt to future patches or to refine the available interactions. For more information on the tuning process, and a more detailed changelog, see this post.

As promised, I’ve updated these OTG overrides by @silverhammersims! They should now have all the proper tags and show up in the off-the-grid lights category in buy mode.

Many of the lights in the original post were not included in this update, as they seem to have been patched to be functional off the grid at some point.

All the file names should be the same, but I’ve unmerged the merged packages so you can pick and choose.

Hi! I've been making some off-the-grid overrides lately and I was wondering if it would be okay for me to upload a fix of your OTG overrides to make them have all the correct tags? Your original overrides were a lifesaver when the lot trait was first added to the game and I consider them essential to the OTG experience.

Yes please!! The OTG trait has definitely been edited and improved since I first made those so I’m sure they could be improved upon in more than one way.
