This is a “gen” exchange, so there should be no romance whatsoever, but if you DO wish to include a romantic relationship, please keep it to either mentioned or minor, and confine it to canon relationship (e.g. Anidala, Obitine, Luxsoka, Han/Leia, etc.). 2. Codywan Sleep Bingo 2023 Rules

Hello and welcome to the first Codywan Sleep Bingo event! It’s us, your kiss and kink bingo mods, bringing you an event designed for all of us who just want to be hibernating right now in a warm, comfy bed. Keep reading if you're interested and want to learn more about the (very few) rules. 

How to Play 

So, how does one participate in Codywan Sleep Bingo 2023? It’s so easy! Just fill out this form, then wait for us to email you your bingo card. The card will look like this, but will be procedurally generated so that you have different prompts in a different order from everyone else:

Then you get down to writing, drawing, or otherwise creating something for the prompts you select! That’s it! 

Fill Requirements 

Well, that’s not quite it. We do have some requirements on what you can submit to fill a square on your bingo card. Each fill must include one of the following options: 

Fic: A minimum of 100 words per fill

Art: One piece of art (digital, traditional, whatever floats your boat)

Playlist: One song that explicitly meets the requirements of the prompt (bonus if you make the mods laugh)

Other: Have a different idea? Reach out to the mods via an ask! Let’s chat. We want this to be available to all creators!

Now, and this is very important, we come to the PRIMARY RULE for the Codywan Sleep Bingo 2023 Challenge. And that rule is: you MUST include one of the prompts on your bingo card. And it must be CLEARLY PRESENT. No throw away lines, no blink-and-you’ll-miss-it references….

Basically, if your mod team has to confer to see if we can MAYBE accept the piece as a prompt fill, the answer is: we can’t. Please, give us sleep! Either Obi-Wan or Cody (OR BOTH) of them SHOULD be sleeping at some point in each fill. 

Note that to complete a bingo, you must complete a row of five prompts--meaning, you must have a piece that includes one of the prompts in the squares on your bingo card, and you must in this way fill five squares in a row. You can do a horizontal row! A vertical row! A diagonal! Any method you’d use to fill a traditional bingo card works! 

Prompt Adjustments 

We know not all the prompts may work for everyone. If you have a prompt that’s inconveniently located to complete your bingo dream, you may swap it with another. We allow one (1) adjustment per bingo card. 

Posting Dates 

Once you get your card, you can work on it at your own pace through March 10th. During this time, post your fills to the AO3 collection and reblog them to the tumblr, and we’ll review to make certain you have included a Codywan sleeping prompt from your bingo card and accept your submission, sharing the love for your creations!

Note that, as both mods work full time, we will not be accepting items to the collection after March 10th! (Hopefully, we’ll be sleeping!) 

Choose the Kind of Card You Want

This event has prompts laid out a bit differently. We made our list and discovered we had a handful of spicy prompts, but the vast majority are spice-neutral. SO. When you request a card, you can request a Spice Neutral Card OR a card from the Spice Inclusive list.

Note that getting a Spice Inclusive card does not GUARANTEE a spicy prompt. There are only two of them in total. You might not get one on your card; a Spice Inclusive card merely opens you up to the potential of getting these prompts. 

Regardless of the type of card you get, please tag appropriately. You can select whatever rating you want, as long as it fulfills the requirements of the bingo. Please use archive warning tags, as well, if necessary. 

Posting Rules 

So, let’s say that you’ve written your first fill. You’ve gone over it, it applies to the prompt you are filling, it’s Codywan…. You’re ready to post! 

You can post on AO3 (into the collection), tumblr, or any other location that your mods can view! When you post, please shout at us (@codywansleepbingo) in the body of the tumblr post AND tag us (codywansleepbingo2023) in the tags. 

This helps us find your post! Also, please include a screenshot of your bingo card with the fill circled, so we know which square you’re filling.

Throw on any appropriate tags and you’re good to go! Please place any explicit material under a cut to keep the event friendly to everyone!

    "The tubers are nearly done. Did you grab the plates already?" Fox asks over his shoulder. The tubers sizzling as he stirred them around the pan.

    "I even grabbed the ones without the crack," Quinlan answers from where he is setting things down on their table.

    "Forks?"

    "Yep."

    "Cups?"

    "Already filled."

    "The salad?"

    "Getting it now," Quinlan says, strolling back to the kitchenette. He steps past the bowl of salad and leans onto the counter next to Fox.

    "You know maybe I should let you order me around more regularly, Commander. Keep you in practice. Can't let you get too easily run over by your men when you get back." 

    The smirk in Quinlan's voice was more than enough to tell Fox where his thoughts were going.

    Considering that he has the option to eat a non-ration dinner warm, Fox knows he can't let Quinlan get going. Particularly now that he finally learned how to cook himself.

    "Head out of the gutter Quin," Fox chides him, "I don't want to eat this reheated after sundown. Besides," He huffs out with a smile, "since when do you follow instructions as given?"

    "Don't worry I know your cooking is already so much better than mine," Quinlan assures him leaning a little further over the counter and into the corner of Fox's vision.

    A coy look starts to grow on Quinlan's face as he opens mouth, "Honestly, if you had took the rank of emperor after unseating Palps from his almighty throne I would have to listen properly."

    Fox glances over to Quinlan with a raised eyebrow. "If I wanted that I would have backdated some paperwork and claimed that bastard's position when I took him out."

    Quin watches Fox cook with a thoughtful look on his face.

    "I know you don't want anything to do with the Senate anymore, but if you'd been in charge you would have been real good at it. Especially at making the Senate more effective." Quinlan compliments him. "You've mentioned some plans before."

    "I have."

    Fox stirs the tubers around the pan one last time before shutting off the heating element. Lifting the pan he carries it over to the table and transfers the contents into a prepared serving dish.

    Setting the now empty pan back down into the sink Fox turns to Quinlan and reaches out to him. 

    Quinlan straightens up and steps into Fox's space letting Fox settle his hands on his waist.

    "The Vod still want me to be an advisor to whoever the representative ends up being," Fox reminds Quinlan. "So some of them may be implemented in one way or another."

    Quinlan gently backs Fox into the table behind him before reaching his arms around Fox's neck.

    Fox in turn rubs his thumbs into Quinlan's hips, leaning back a bit to observe Quinlan's face.

    "And if you remember I would have taken over while the Jedi were still being considered enemies of the state. Just what would your position have been under me if you would be around to listen to orders?"

    Quinlan's face becomes down right lewd as he leans within a breath of Fox's face and wiggles his eyebrows, looking more than a little ridiculous, suggesting, "You could have kept me as your pet Jedi."

    Fox threw his head back and laughed.

It was small, so small. Only a single sheet in it. You were after all only hours old when you had passed.

The grandmother that was supposed to love you didn't even let your underage mother hold you before finding an empty stretch of highway to abandon you on.

When the day started and the highway got busier someone noticed you laying there, just on the edge of the grass. They pulled over in a hurry, not quite all the way off the road lane to get to you.

They ran over and cradled you in their arms. You were already so quiet and still.

As they carried you back to the car the truck came. The driver was drunk and easily distracted by the sight of a person carrying a newborn.

He plowed into the person holding you, killing both of you on impact.

Too distracted trying to rush you to safety they didn't notice the truck veering towards them and didn't have the chance to move out of the way.

After hitting you the truck kept going and went into a bridge. All the weight that the trucker was pulling crushed into him. He had no chance of surviving.

Why, why would they blame that on you?

You died and were sent to hell, but instead of getting escorted down to a specific level of hell, you’re escorted straight to the Devil himself who looks mildly horrified while holding the file of your life in his hands.

Introduction

Welcome to FoxQuin Week! 

This is an event to celebrate a fun ship- Commander Fox and Quinlan Vos! It is also supposed to be a stress free event- write or create what you can, what you want, don't feel like you have to do every day or even any days to enjoy the event. Everyone could use some cheerleaders spreading their work and commenting after all!

I do not expect this event to be popular. There are under 400 fics in the tag last I checked. So, if I don't get enough prompts, I'll toss in some of my own for the voting and we'll go from there. But I am hoping for some decent participation. FoxQuin needs more love.

If I get even one other person participating in this week, that is enough for me!
