Yes you are right. Tobias would be a better fit because of the religious trauma that affects him and also his already being familiar with the supernatural.

I was thinking about Rudy because he is a victim of bullying in Ghost eyes and I think he has a similar aesthetic if that makes sense. With a warmer palette and a similar personality.

(also I want to point out that I have seen the movie but I haven't read the book so maybe there are differences I don't know)
