I don't have an opinion on either of these ships but the council (friends) made me want to draw propaganda for @rainworldpolls, Godmode vs Cherrybomb
I think they could all bond over the horrific things they've gone through but Saint and Arti probably have some steam to blow off

Hi, good morning!
I saw your spearmaster wearing the monk outfit like saint. Did he achieved Zen already?
What's backstory behind that outfit choice? By the way I love it. My headcanon that he was sick and tired of harming other creatures and decided to eat plants and meditate or smth.
Have a good day <( ̄︶ ̄)>
So Spearmaster is an interesting case. In Undergrowth, Spearmaster was raised fairly religious because of Suns' upbringing, which is why I wanted them to have something robe-ish and monk-like like Saint. I wanted that commonality in background to be apparent in the way they dressed, even if the exact specifics of their upbringing are different. Honestly I'm glad that that specific idea was communicated, it means I made good, informative choices!
As for his attitude, my Spearmaster is a similar way to yours. Suns made Spearmaster without much regard for their quality of life, happiness, or ability to live outside of the mission. His adapted digestive system was planned with the idea that he would always be on the move, always on a mission, always hunting and fighting. Originally, Spearmaster devastated ecosystems early on because his way of feeding isn't efficient or sustainable, and unchecked, puts a massive amount of strain on the extant food web. Eventually he got tired of it and started learning how he could be less disruptive.
Nowadays, in Saint's shelter, he goes and hunts for the shelter and is very mindful of what and how much he hunts, only bringing back as much as the shelter needs. At the shelter, the others can prepare a diverse diet that satisfies his nutritional requirements and works with his unique digestive system.
There's a funny contrast I think between my Spearmaster and Monk. They both get along with animals easily and have a great deal of love and respect for nature, probably the most out of everyone in the shelter. However, Monk's love is expressed rather recklessly, an outpouring of love for life and a keen sense for how each part of the greater cycle interacts. She moves easily and harmoniously, but can be careless about the animals she feeds and how she moves. On the other hand, Spearmaster spent a great deal of time studying the natural world and how it interacts. He's less likely to make friends with any animal because his desire is to leave as little of an impact on the natural world as possible, and to find a way to coexist without disturbing it.

Moskayaso!
I know it’s not completely related, but I wanted to ask, what stat increases would a Yoŋasabi (undergrowth au) D&D race have? Bonus strength, dex, wisdom, etc?
The obsession with the au has reached “make a D&D character” levels of ‘tism.
I hope you have a nice day, and thanks for all the fish!

Moskasa!
So funny thing, me and my wife @kcdrainworld actually already worked together to make a slugcat/Yongasabi race for DnD for a campaign we're in.
To answer your question, the stats we decided on as follows
Ability Score Increase. When determining your character’s ability scores, increase Wisdom by 2 and Constitution by one. Alternatively, increase one score by 2 and increase a different score by 1, or increase three different scores by 1. You can't raise any of your scores above 20.
If you want to check out what we cooked up, it's here.

I've been thinking after seeing some of your stuff on slugcat / scavenger cuisine; what would they use for food storage and dinnerware?
I imagine clay and glass wouldn't be viable for most as kilns or furnaces would be exceedingly difficult to operate outside of anywhere but atop iterator cans, and the lack of sediment around iterators would mean raw materials would have to be transported long distances there.
My guess would be a combination of carved roots for most bowls and cutlery and pieces shells or carapace for anything that needs to be in contact with fire (Centipede plates would make for good grilling surfaces although pots are a different beast).
So this is a multipart answer that I want to answer first with how fire and wood are handled in Undergrowth. So Undergrowth specifically takes place during the time of blizzards, so by this time, kilns and furnaces are possible to use, but they definitely wouldn't have been viable for those living inside retaining walls when rains were prominent. Outside the retaining walls is a different story depending on the stability of the ground and how much rainfall it gets. I'm personally of the believe that not all the lands between retaining walls was devastated by the iterators, but it was unlivable specifically for the ancients, who were much more accustomed to more infrastructure.
That aside, from what I imagine, slugcats and scavengers, at least anthro ones, actually have access to both fire and wood, or at least something like it. Even during the time of rains, gathering and preparing wood was its own skill and profession, and a very important one. I also have considered the possibility of wormgrass as a stand-in for an abundant woody resource. In Undergrowth, wormgrass can be cut, then shaped, and dried and treated by fire in order to harden it into a sort of reedy, woody material like bamboo, able to be shaped into all kinds of things. For any peoples who don't have access to actual trees for wood, this treated wormgrass could be used to make things like cups and utensils, and some other tools, infrastructure, and construction, like tents, back looms, stakes, etc. Several strips of treated wormgrass could be woven together in order to make some kind of steaming basket. I even imagine that texts are traditionally written on slats of worm grass that are tied together and rolled up like scrolls.
Other materials for utensils would probably include things derived from animal parts. A snail shell broken or sawed in half and fitted with handles could very easily serve as a soup pot. Real people have historically shaped all kinds of tools out of bones and skulls, slugcats and scavengers could do the same. And you are definitely right on centipede shells, those things could very easily serve as grilling surfaces or hotplates. There's all kinds of things available, even for peoples to whom things like metal and clay aren't readily available.

Fanart portraits for @opashoo ' s Rivulet and Gourm!! I love their designs so much!! I like how much Rivulet seems on edge in the character references, I don't see a calm Riv' usually! I tried at an opalescent look for Riv's portrait.
Tumblr media
Also Gourmand looks like they'd bake a peach cobbler that would make you pass out. /pos Very friendly and kind looking!

Happy make a terrible comic day I am pursuing my dreams in the medium of visual storytelling. I blocked out how I wanted to use the space in each panel before I even started sketching and that helped a lot with planning
