'kids these days have it easy' thats the point thats the point thats the whole point we're here to make it better for whoever comes after you sad selfish self absorbed puddle of wank
No one has made me feel better about my stimming than the restaurant worker who saw me bouncing on my feet while deciding what to order and excitedly said “oh GIRL you have the DANCER SPIRIT!” with the excitement of someone telling me that I was the chosen one of a prophecy
it was hard hearing my dad in pain and i almost felt bad for him but then i remembered that this is the guy who called me a pussy for crying when i fell off my dirt bike as a kid
Divorce the notion of “productivity” from the notion of “contributing”.
We are constantly taught that we have to be productive (i.e., producing labor, results, creative output) in order to have worth. That is not true. A person’s worth – your’s, mine, ours – is not defined by what and how much we produce. We have intrinsic worth.
Beyond that though, it can still feel good, feel healthy and positive, to contribute. And though that contribution can come in the form of productivity, it does not have to. You can contribute through caring, through helping, through sharing, through loving and laughing. You do contribute just by existing. And you have the power to make your contributions positive ones.
