Selection: “I am coming up with a 99.99, repeating of course, chance of success.”

Job: Witch, which is a weird mixture of Astrologian, Arcanist, and Thaumaturge skills, in that order.

Weapons: A star globe and a purple carbuncle.

AI Behavior: Kuriko is a good fit for those parties who prefer to be careful. She has a strong arsenal of healing skills and a small kit of attack skills.

Her astrologian kit consists of all the typical card skills, and she will smartly apply the cards according to class and role. She will at the very start of a dungeon apply Nocturnal Aspected Benefic on the tank, and then switch to Diurnal when the party gets moving. When the party exits combat, she will swap aspects and repeat this pattern.

She will wait until the party has stopped moving to place Earthly Star, and detonate it as soon as Giant Dominance is triggered. For attacks, she will use Gravity (4+ enemies) and Malefic, but her Dots are Thunder and Thunder IV (4+ enemies).

She has Aetherflow and can store up to two charges. Her only Aetherflow spells are Lustrate and Excogitation, which she will use on the lowest health target in the party. She will also use Chain Stratagem during boss fights.

She can cast Manaward and she makes use of all the healer role actions. Her carbuncle casts a weak heal on the lowest HP member of the party.

In terms of Mechanics, Kuriko will put her own survival over that of her teammates, especially if the party does not have another class that can Raise. A dead healer is a useless healer, so she will occasionally stop casting entirely to ensure she completes mechanics properly. She will make liberal use of Rescue, especially with stack markers and melee, and also use Lightspeed and (Aspected, sometimes) Helios.

Kuriko will only use the limit break if three party members are below 20% HP, in a 4 man party. In a trial or raid, she will only use it at 3 bars when at least 4 party members are KO’d.

 “It’s only a flesh wound.”– Using Limit Break at 1 bar “Do not give in to despair, celestial bodies will grant us succor.” – Using Limit Break at 2 bars “The stars have a different fate in mind for us. Stand and fight!” – Using Limit Break at 3 bars

KO’d:

“Oh... it hurts.” – Variation 1 “I am sorry... I have failed you all.” – Variation 2

Revived:

“Thank you, friend.” – Variation 1 “We must calculate our actions more carefully this time.”– Variation 2

Honestly, after three years of being out of any RPC, and quitting writing during that time, coming back into one and finding my enjoyment in that, and writing again in general has been really nice.

No community is without its problems, but for the most part, I’ve found wonderful people within the FFXIV RP Community and I’m thankful for each and every one of you and I look forward to meeting many more.
