i know opinions are subjective but certain opinions just get such a visceral reaction out of me like you shouldn't be allowed to have an opinion that... wrong. if i see one more "xyz kpop boy sounds like haechan" i'm going to cry because NO. they don't. you're comparing some dude who has a relatively higher pitch and that's it to one of the most unique voices i've ever heard in my life. idk it just doesn't even feel right even if it's subjective to the person. like yes i'm a haechan ult, yes i'm biased, but the reason he became my bias is because i had never heard a voice like his before. it's not just the fact that he has a higher pitch, his tone is just so velvety, it has a 'warm' rasp to it at times that shouldn't make sense but it does and it's so good. it's not even describeable in words to me. i've tried so many times to describe it but fail every time. one of my favourite vocal tones i've ever heard.

it's funny though because this sort of thing makes me realise that i haven't changed as a 'fangirl' at all, 10 years ago at 13 i used to ride just as hard for the weeknd's voice too. "xyz sounds like abel" no the fuck he doesn't! and i still stand by that too.
