Heyo it's been a while since I've posted. Here's a back log of one of my dnd characters that I haven't posted anywhere. Some info under the cut if you want to read.

Their name is Otto Summers, they were a part time nurse that ran a ghost hunting youtube channel with their foster bro Everette. A dimensional tear in the sky caused their town to go through some wild changes, along with them and other ordinary people with them. Some people were warped into monsters, and others basically became super powered humans. Otto survived, but Everette didn't make the cut and died. His soul became bound to Otto's phone, and he's able to supply them with magic. Meta wise, Otto's a Cleric of the Death Domain, and it's been doing a number on their physical form(Along with some boons the party has been getting as they get stronger). They're also an extremely cantrip-punchy necro cleric, we made a new cantrip for them called the Necro Knuckle. >:)

So the pics are basically following along with the major changes Otto's been going through, all up until last week when Otto actually died. Legit died died, got hit with 2 fireballs(failed both saves), then rolled a nat 1 on a death save and the final death save was a 9. Rolls were brutal that night. Luckily they were in contact with a necrotic undead dude who was very happy to hear from someone new joining the necromancy circles, so the party was able to get them to him to help them out.

Now your boy(used in the most gender neutral way possible), is part of the undead! Vampire-like to be specific. Otto was just starting to come to terms with these changes and leaving home, but now we'll see how they cope with embracing death to it's fullest on top of that.

Anyways, game's been very fun, the DM is incredible, players have been incredible, and I'm excited every week for this game. It's nice to have something to really look forward to while I've been taking some new medication that makes me feel like absolute shit so I can get better.

This was such an incredibly sweet message, I’m so glad someone’s taken so much joy out of my silly Chaos doodles. I love drawing this weird water creature, even though I draw him a little different almost every time.  Here’s a new addition I’ve been working on after I read this reblog.

Weren't their names Splorch or Spiorch... can't remember. Are they the same? Didn't they wear glasses too?

Nah that was right, they were called Splorch and Spiorch after the splorches from Mario 3D World

Yeah they used to both have glasses and were much different characters from my @askboompom

After they moved to @lava-bros they eventually changed their name to Sol and Simon, because I really didn't like naming them after the species, especially after Spiorch showed up. Originally it was just going to be Splorch, so obviously it made sense to just give him the name of the species or else he was basically unrecognizable, but then Spiorch became a character, and then after that Scotty became a character too. Felt weird, to have one guy be named their species when there was at least 2 others. Same happened with Boom and Pom, still regret that as their names, but otherwise again, not as recognizable as the characters from the series. Made sense for the time. Anyways so they were basically OCs from the start, now they're just a new brand of OC that isn't so associated with Super Mario. So ditched the glasses, and that was basically the only thing linking them to being a lava ball with sunglasses and ✨wow ✨, they're their own people now.

Look at that glow up, I'm so proud of them. Boom and Pom became OCs too, they go by Barrett and Piper now. So you might see them floating around under those tags. Crazy what happens to characters you draw for a long time and get attached to. They basically rebrand themselves overtime as your own. It's a neat process to see.

This is the lava fam, Simon, Sol, and Scotty They’re powered by magical geodes Simon and Sol are twins, and they do not get along at all Scotty is the youngest and she loves her brothers very much The twins are disasters, and Scotty is the only good one to come out of the bunch. She makes up for their terrible behavior, but they all know Sol is a good noodle even if he doesn’t act like it. Simon definitely isn’t a good noodle, he wakes up every morning and chooses violence.

Those are my kids thanks for coming.
