Doing silly gaming with the Disney CRT i recently got :p

Got a CRT TV!!!!

Picked up this Disney CRT TV and cleaned it up (it was veeeery dirty). First time messing with a CRT, took safety precautions to properly discharge so I could clean it all up (it was in a basement for years, very grimy). I also still need to buff out some scratches somehow...

Plugged in my camcorder to test it, but I will play some games on it soooon (maybe some Touhou games :P). It's got a scart input, so I'll see if I can use a converter to plug in S-Video from my WinXP computer's graphics card or maybe some other input.

Cosplay making/improvement post!!!!!!!!

Added shoulder straps to my marisa costume's skirt. It was always sagging too much when walking around at cons, so I thought of this somewhat hacky solution to just support it over my shoulders. Works pretty well!

Its also not too visible and the parts that were have decorative lace stuff sown overtop.

Dokomi 2024 and J-Rave!!

Yooo, last week I was at Dokomi! It was super cool to swing by the Touhou area in the retro corner again :p Had a lot of fun at the con

Also had a ton of fun at the J-Rave. As a vocaloid fan I was pleasantly surprised we got kz/livetune ^o^

It was also suuuper sick to hear a Bad Apple remix at the start of the show :D

And yesss, I did use my Mini-Hakkero as a glowstick replacement ;)

Sadly couldn't stay until the end, but I still had a ton of fun at the rave. Even bumped into a Reimu cosplayer in the front, who signed my fan when I left. With her lipstick!!! She was genuinely soooo coool lol

Really enjoyed my time, cant wait to go again next year ^^

My HowaHowa Reimu and Marisa finally arrived today!!!!!! They are super cute and precious ❤️

The box was quite big, so i was surprised when at the plushies smaller size. But they are really detailed and the fabrics feel super nice. I love em.

Continuation of yesterdays post:

I did in fact swing by again on the Japan Day after the stormy afternoon and it was so worth it ^o^ . Ended up chatting with a Yuuka cosplayer (that I recognized from their previous Cirno cosplay) and met their group of Touhou cosplayers and chilled with them for the rest of the evening ^_^

The fireworks in the evening were also super pretty,

Ended up having one of the coolest evenings that I've had in cosplay ^^

Went to the Japan Day in Düsseldorf today and met a Reimu cosplay (with an amazingly crafted costume!!!) and a Youmu cosplayer! (and 2 fellow Marisas as well lol ^^)

Sadly it also started raining like crazy in the afternoon, so everyone escaped to under the bridge. Didn't really luck out with the weather...

I will swing by again later today in time for the fireworks, but I shall currently escape the storm till the evening lol.

Not a touhou post, but I just wanted to share this tbh, plenty people here might find it neat:

Picked up this 20 year old Samsung SyncMaster 193P from someone giving it away in the area. I thought the hinge and back design looked kinda neat I guess and I currently dont have any 4:3 Monitors, so I thought I might as well pick it up for my Windows XP Gaming Setup.

Also thought the round base design just looked so nice and clean. Interestingly this monitor needs an external power supply brick? Really slims down the actual Monitor design tho, I like it.

Anyway, turns out you can rotate this guy like crazy?????

Now I saw that little print saying dual hinge, but still I absolutely didnt expect this lol.

Maybe with my rigid 2 regular Monitors, Im just too excited to see a adjustable monitor, but this one just seems crazyyyyy.

Its so cool that you can kinda lay it totally horizontal and then still rotate it around like 360 degrees (albeit one way only ofc).
