I completely forgot to share my Gengetsu cosplay with you guys for some reason ive only worn her once at a big event this july (which had a touhou panel so i knew at least I would get recognized a few times. Guys they had merch of her there. i went insane. No i didnt get the stickers bc they were gacha and i kept getting other characters but oh boy did i try my best) and i dearly miss going out and about as my TurboBlorbo of all time its one of those days. Let me back in. I'm begging you. Let me back in.

Even though this isn't a full Mamizou cosplay (I am still missing the outfit): I really enjoy how it turned out! My posture here is great, and I really nailed that "Tanuki" vibe.

Made some real progress on my Youmu cosplay after months of procrastinating on it!

I was originally planning to wear it with a white button down shirt I already own but I seem to have lost it, and I ended up really loving the look of the sleeves of the blouse I used for fitting so I will probably make one in a similar style.

The ghost pattern is just very simple chain stitch embroidery, but it ended up looking really nice!

Tbh Touhou Cosplayers gotta be on a whole different level from other cosplays I've seen.

A lot of the time I can't help but feel as though a good few cosplays have the appearance of being made up of cheap fabric, and cheap practices, with the clothing itself. While with Touhou cosplays, that doesn't really apply for the most part. Most of what I have seen is just. So high quality. The cloth, the frills, the patterns, the ribbons... just feel so fashionable. So striking. So tasteful. So beautiful... so well put together! Idk how to fully articulate this but man. The cosplays do slap!

Uhhh well my Komachi cosplay blew up for what I normally expect on this account so I guess I should share some of the other funny outfits I have. Up next is Junko. This was my first whack at modding a bought base. I currently am modding it even further now that I kind of know what I want to do with it. Pictures are from assorted Katsucons. I go every year I get asked to contract for it. I am normally with the Touhou Road Shou. Bonus, you can see how I made the tails. They are heavier then I want them to be because fluff fabric is...dense. It's not a con running around as Junko if I don't end up on the floor at some point trying to stretch my back. Last picture is the current mod I'm adding which is a layer of sheer black floral print that has a few sequins in it and should juuust barely show up against the black robe. The folded bit is going to get trimmed. Again most of my cosplay lives on instagram but will slowly also get added to being over here. Go follow me @ topazcosplay on there if you want things faster.
