sometimes there's a very specific kind of cold outside. like, you've lived at least hundreds of days where it's been the exact same temperature, but every now and then, the cold has a familiar "bite" to it.

Today, I immediately remembered the last time I'd felt this kind of cold outside. I had just gotten out of the hospital. I felt like nothing more than a confused, timid child that struggled to navigate a single day in my own body.

You might expect this memory would be difficult. But somehow, it feels like a thing of beauty. I have this opportunity to reflect and ealize just how much I have changed- all in the name of survival. It really feels like a new game - a new campaign of exploration and adventure.

I think I'm allowed to say that it's pretty freaking cool that I was able to make it though that. And cool that I have the specific, cold air today to thank for that thought.
