3x3 ROOM CHALLENGE CREATED BY @SIMS4IDEAS

Hello hello!! It's been a while... Long long time no see! But I'm slowly coming back and I'm kicking off things with this building challenge by SIMS4IDEAS.

The challenge is about creating 30 different rooms, each one with a different prompt, using a 3x3 room.

The original rules mention no use of CC, but I recently started to use CC in my own gameplay builds, so I'm "ignoring" this rule.

But I will always upload both versions to my gallery, so you can decide which one to use.

Unfortunately, I can't find the creator to share the original post, but if you do, please let me know. Here is the image I found with the challenge:

I don’t use CC in my buildings, this is entirely build-out of game items unless specified by me and I will try to provide the links for the items when possible. However, I use the following Sims 4 game cheats to create my builds (you should use them so everything is in place properly when uploading the building):

Lucky - Life or Death

(Round 6 Strike-a-Pose Competition)

This one was very hard for me. When I got the theme, I was part of the 'Life Team', meaning I had to create a pose that showed Life. After many starts and ideas, I ended up trying to challenge myself with my first pet pose. And of course, needed to be Bob and Eliza (maybe to try to show her a bit more friendly to the world :D)

This is a very specific pose pack, but if you create Sim Stories, this might be an awesome fit for a bit of tension!

This pose pack consists of 4 in-game group poses (T/YA/A/E // puppy/kitten).

Early Access changes on my Patreon!

Hope everyone had an amazing holiday!

So, I decided to change a bit my tiers on Patreon. From now on, there is no early access to my content, meaning everything is free to everyone from the day I post.

So what differences exist on each tier? Little things, to be honest. With the two higher tiers, you gain access to exclusive polls, suggestions and work in progress content. These allow you to be more involved in my creations.

JULIA - COVER ART POSE

Hiya!!!

When I got the briefing for this pose I was a bit scared because I didn't know what to do. But then, I found this incredibly inspiring Rolling Stones cover with Lizzo and I knew I had to try to do it. Glad I did, cause I got first that week :)

This is not a very complex pose, especially because you have to put the flowers by hand (I didn't find any flower accessory to work with that I liked but please, if you do, let me know so I can add here).

I did the bathing suit myself (quite proud of myself, may I say) using the floral dress and the base swimsuit. I'm adding it as well for download in case you want to use it.

I had a huge blast making this one, for all the intensity and message it passes. I hope you enjoy it too!

THE BLESSING POSE PACK

(Round 3 Strike-a-Pose Competition)

Hiya!!!

This Pose Pack was my entry for Round 3 where we needed to create different facial expressions. I'm, of course, sticking with my story characters for this pose.

I'm a huge fan of the tv show Vikings and I wanted to do different facial expressions besides the usual smile, anger, etc. So I came up with this combination. Glad I did, because I came first that week :)

This pose pack is one single group pose, but all the poses can be used individually since each one is a different facial expression.

About the CC used. Some of the CC I altered for my needs, but since the original is not my creation, I'm not sharing the ones you see. But, if you want the CC I used, the original creations can be found (most of them) in my Pinterest here: The Sims 4 CC

SUMMER MEMORIES POSE PACK

(Round 2 Strike-a-Pose Competition)

Continuing my Strike-a-Pose Competition adventure, this was my entry for Round 1 where we needed to portray a 'Ride or Die Friendship'. I immediately thought of my 3 friends from my story.

For me, ride or die friendship doesn't mean only being there for the bad moments. Also means being there to enjoy the best ones. So, I decided to celebrate the best part of a friendship: having fun and celebrate it!

Now, for both the bottle and glass being held, I couldn't find ones I liked, so I downloaded two I liked and I placed them with the TOOL mod (you can get it here).

This pose consists of 1 in-game group pose, a total of 3 single poses. They will work great with 3 sims that are T/YA/A/E.

If you follow me on Instagram, you already know that I was part of the Strike a Pose competition. What is that, you might ask? It's an Instagram competition for pose makers.

When I entered the competition, I never thought I reached so far, to be honest. Unfortunately, I didn't make it to the final, but I had so much fun and grew soooo much as a pose maker, that I feel I won somehow.

This pose was my entry round. The theme was 'Holding Hands', so we had to showcase somehow the sims holding hands.

You don't need the rose, the hand will still work great without it. And I'm saying this because I couldn't find a rose that I liked enough as an accessory, so I'm using the in-game rose you can get in debug, and I placed it with the TOOL mod (you can get it here).

This pose consists of 1 in-game pose, a total of 2 single poses. They will work great with 2 sims that are T/YA/A/E.

Rags to Riches Challenge Live the Farm Life Edition, by Orianas SimStudio

Hello, hello!!

Ok, I'm absolutely obsessed with the new pack for The Sims 4, Cottage Living, then again who isn't? It has everything we wanted and more!!! I can't handle the cuteness of the bunnies, the chickens, the ducks???

Everything is amazing! I can't remember the last time I've been so caught up with gameplay. I haven't even built anything yet!!!

So, I did something... After seeing so many Simmers playing the challenge 'Rags to Riches' with the new pack (one of them being @misslollypopsims), I went searching for some specific rules for Cottage Living. I even asked her but like me, she couldn't find any... So, what did I do? If you said: "she created her own" you'd be absolutely correct!

I designed a completely new challenge adapting the 'Rags to Riches' rules to the Cottage Living gameplay. And oh boy, it's not an easy one... but we love challenges, right? Right?... Let's say yes.

So, I'll be playing my own challenge live on Twitch (follow me on IG to know when I'll be live) together with laursimming (check out her IG and YouTube, she's incredible). Oh and btw, the voice you hear on the promo below?? That's hers!! Isn't she amazing??

Guidelines

You can’t use cheats - only the ones to take money out, move objects or CAS editing

You and your spouse/partner cannot hold jobs, so make sure to live farm life to the fullest

At the beginning, you can’t sleep in your lot until you have a bed. You can instead have a tent, and sleep in public places

You can only eat what you pick and you can cook on your lot if you have a fire pit (in the beginning) and if you have the ingredients

You can’t keep the money earned from your hobbies, unless it’s from cross-stitching or flower arrangements (more about this on The Farm Life Goals)

This challenge can go through as many generations as you like, so it’s up to you how quickly you want to achieve the big goals. Except for the specific ones for the founder and their spouse/partner, all the other goals won’t have a time limit

As a teen, you can go to school or not, it’s up to you

Little tip: Start with the Mayor for the errands. Their tasks are the starter ones and will help you get to know the community and the world

Starting the Challenge

Lifespan: Normal

Autonomy: Full

Age to start: Teen

Aspiration: Country Caretaker

Traits: Animal Enthusiast + two of your choice Trait 1: ______________________ Trait 2: ______________________

No likes or dislikes! Your sim must naturally gain these

Start on the empty lot from Henford-on-Bagley and your lot must have the Simple Living and Wild Foxes challenges (remove the Off the Grid challenge that is already pre-set for the lot or keep it if you want an even bigger challenge). No lot traits (eg. great soil etc.) can be applied until after finishing your degree, because as you know, you first must learn how to improve your lot for a farm. On completion, you may add any you like

Starting Funds

You must start with 0 simoleons

You can only earn money from errands and selling fish in the market shops. You can’t earn money from crops or animals until you have completed your degree

No sales from inventory! Never. Ever! Immerse yourself in the community by either selling on the market stalls, or having your own selling table

Building the Farm

You must gain the following skill levels: Logic: 3 Handiness: 3

You have to pay §500 to the council before you start building walls, you don’t want your neighbours complaining about the noise!

To move on to the next set of goals, you have to have at least one of each: Toilet Bed Shower or tub Sink Stove Chair or sofa Counter Fridge

Working the Land

You must complete every task for Building the Farm because you are living here forever and, you need a proper home

You have to have a Biology uni degree to start earning money on your farm. You need to first learn the basics. Due to your rocky start in life, you don’t qualify for any scholarships, so you can’t apply for those. No distinguished degree here… If you don’t own Discover University, you must pay §3000 to keep going, this is roughly the cost of the degree - think of it as online tuition fees in real life

You can’t live on campus, you have to stay on your lot

Pause aging up while in uni, but while you are attending, you can’t earn any money. Plan wisely before going

Always choose 4 classes so you speed through your semesters, but also to add difficulty at this stage

The only things you can develop while aging is paused are relationships, the skills you have to develop in your classes, and of course the ones you can’t control and happen through gameplay (eg. cooking to live!)

Before you are able to build a proper crop garden and have livestock, you should have completed all the above rules

You must pay §500 to the contractors to received the blueprints for your land

Include a pond on your lot. You can add any animals to it

From now on, you should live wholly off your land and produce from the animals. Don’t forget, if you stock your ponds with fish, you can sell catches in the village markets or via the selling tables. Or eat it!

A Functional Farm

To enjoy life on your farm, and after completing all the above assignments, you need to have a fully functional home so you can progress in life. For that you need to have at least:

A living area/room

A kitchen area

2 or 3 bedrooms

A dining space

2 bathrooms

An office area, so you can manage all daily runnings of the farm

Prepare to have a Family

Everything above should be completed. Find the love of your life! You can already have met them or find a new Sim or create a new one

If you create your spouse/partner in CAS, make sure to randomise their traits. The starting aspiration should be the Country Caretaker, so they learn the farm life

If your spouse/partner is a townie Sim, change their aspiration to Country Caretaker as soon as you marry them. Again, they need to learn the farm life

Marry your chosen one and pay for that wedding (costs § 1000), or if you don’t want to marry, simply deduct the same amount from your household - you still need to pay for the civil partnership license!

Everything they bring to the marriage/partnership, must be taken out. You can’t keep the money or the furniture

Expand your Family

To have kids, you have to be married/living together first

You must have §5000 saved up in order to have a child. Kids are expensive!

You can have/adopt as many kids as you want

You must reach the minimum parenting skill of level 3

You must not age your kids, you must wait for them to naturally grow

If you are playing the challenge through several generations, the heir must always have good grades and at least 2 skills max’d out. The ‘responsible’ trait here is advised, but not mandatory

Teenagers can’t have part-time jobs, they need to help with the farm and/or run errands to earn money for the family piggy bank

Have grandchildren, be a loving grandparent

Aspiration Goals

You must complete the Country Caretaker aspirations for both you and your spouse/partner

The heir must complete their aspirations too (the child’s included)

Money Goals

You must have a house worth §100,000

You must have §200,000 in the household funds

For a more extended game, you can set the goal to reach §1,000,000

The Farm Life Goals

Have 1 cow

Have 1 llama

Have one flock of wild birds and one wild rabbit home on your lot

Dogs and cats are great additions to farm life

Have at least one full chicken coop but only have one rooster. You can trade your extra roosters for anything besides simoleons

Have one of each “normal” plant (meaning, vegetables, fruits and herbs that are normal to humans - you can see the checklist on the printing version). You can have all the others if you want, but no money tree. There’s no such thing in real life, and since I can’t get one in my real-life garden, none of you can in the game!

Earn, at least once, the first prize in each fair category

Have one jam/conserve of each type displayed

You can sell your extra jams/conserves and wools at the market stalls or on your own selling table

If taking up the cross-stitching hobby, first display one of each design on a wall in your home, as you’re very proud of your work. Once your ‘hobby wall’ is finished, you can then create pieces to sell

You can’t craft items, unless you have the necessary coloured wool. All the wool must come from your llama

You can order groceries, but only the ingredients you can’t produce yourself. For example, meat and sugar can be ordered via the grocery delivery option. We want to have our animals as friends, so they can produce the goodies we need

Hiya!!!

This pose pack was a challenge! Making those arms work... Was hard! But, it's done!! In my mind, this pose pack was for a couple who were having a conversation and one admitted his feelings and the other suddenly reciprocated, with a kiss.

It will also be cool for a teen first crush or first kiss? Oh, there are many ways to use this pose pack. I had a lot of fun with it, and I hope you do too.

The first two poses also work wonders as a normal conversation poses.

This pack consists of 5 in-game poses, a total of 10 single poses. They will work great with 2 sims that are T/YA/A/E.

NOTES about the pack:

You need Pose Player (get it here)

You need Teleporter (get it here)

Place both teleporters on top of each other where you want to have the pose. The sims will place themselves on each side

Some volume clothes might have some clipping, but unfortunately, I can't turn this around. I tried some different things, and I didn't notice anything like sunken arms

Hiya!!!

You might have seen these poses from my story. I updated it to be a pose pack, so it's more general. This pose pack has a comforting tone to it. Original it was created for a couple but in the photos, I wanted to show you how it will also work with a father and daughter.

This pack consists of 4 in-game poses, a total of 8 single poses. They don't need to specifically be for couples, they work great with 2 sims that are T/YA/A/E.

Orianas Good Day Overall Reshade Preset

Hiya!

Today I bring you not a pose, but a Reshade Preset.

A lot of people ask me where did I download my preset, and the answer is that I didn't. I created it myself, to match my liking. With the Something Simlish feature week on Reshade, I decided it was a good fit for the week and we agreed on giving you this little preset.

This preset is a simple gameplay friendly one that improves the colours of the game with some effects for ready to post photos. We all know The Sims is a bit toned down, and that happens for a reason. You see, it's fitted to keep your eyes safe after a long time looking at the monitor.

My preset, although much brighter than the actual game, will not harm your eyes. I've been using it for over a year, and I do spend hours and hours in front of my laptop.

The Good Day Overall preset, also have assigned keys to some effects. Those are MXAO (to give you the dark shadows we all love) and DOF for a bit of more depth in the photo. Both of these effects are not game friendly, so that's the reason they have keys assigned (that you can easily switch to your liking). This way, you can quickly turn them on and off for an easy switch between the actual game and the screenshot.

NOTES about the preset:

The version of Reshade: 4.7.0 (earlier or later versions might not work with the preset, but let me know If you use them and the result. Thanks!)

This preset is gameplay friendly with the shadow and blur effects (not gameplay friendly if turned on)

You can switch the effects on/off using the following keys (you can easily change them):

SMAA: Shift+1

MXAO: Shift+2

DOF: Shift+3

HELPING GRID: Shift+4

You need to have Edge Smoothing off for the MXAO and DOF to work properly. If you are just using it for the gameplay version, you don't need it. That's why SMAA is there, to help with the smoothness of the preset
