I’d totally swing by the Institute if I needed help with powers. Which, I don’t.  I’m just a human living in a world of superheroes. Well, not superheroes but close enough. 

Nice to meet you, Ms. Davies. Things are going better, hanging in there. Thanks for asking and checking in. I can say my day is better now that I’ve met you, haha! I just had a nice sandwich and soup combo, so it’s pretty swell.

Oh, well -- you could always stop by if you wanted to see what it’s like to have powers. That’s kind of my power, sort of. But you can still be a hero! Everyone is an everyday hero! That’s what matters.

a new chapter | klaine

Blaine stood outside of Frozen Spoons, licking his lips as he looked at his phone. Was this a mistake, had he jumped to conclusions? Of course, he was thirty minutes early, but Blaine wanted to be ready when he met Kurt. It’d be so long and he missed him, not wanting to waste any time. But now his stomach was curling, dreading the wait.

He wanted to start things right with Kurt, start something new. His gel was light, his clothes were more than casual, he hadn’t even worn a bowtie. He wasn’t sure if anything would feel right, but he needed a change.

He waited before seeing Kurt come into his vision. His heart panged against his chest. “Oh my gosh,” he muttered to himself. “Kurt! Over here.” Blaine rushed towards him and pulled him into a hug, inhaling deeply. “I missed you. I missed you.”

Blaine was slightly nervous. He always had been lately, but after his conversation with Caitlin he was shivering to himself. If she feared his powers, then he had reason to fear them too. Taking a deep breath, he wanted for her at the institute, trying to meditate in one of the training grounds housed within the building. As the door opened, Blaine smiled at her, extending his hand to offer a handshake if that’s what she liked. “Blaine Anderson. Nice to finally meet you in person. You’ve got this. Don’t worry, I’ve got this under control.” Blaine was slightly lying, doing his best to hide it, but the last thing he wanted to do was make her feel like this was uncontrollable. He just had to believe that things would go smoothly.

Kurt and I are actually going to meet up, I’m... nervous. And excited. I’ll have to drop by and meet Rachel some time soon then. And d’aww, you. Not much. I had a rough year in 2016 but, hey, I’m floating by. I don’t want to bog you down with all the details unless you’re interested. It’s not really anything interesting, anyways. I’m more interested in you! I hear you do photography and everything? How’s that coming along? You know, I could use some headshots...

Really? It’s not lame? Do you prefer snail mail or that we meet up?

Cassandra got a lot surprised as her arm moved from itself and then she realized it was Blaine and sighed. She watched the boy did the sword and smiled widely. “Yes, please.” She said making  a sword to herself. “How did you do the ice thing? I never tried that.” She asked trying to keep the sword form.

Blaine froze the watery sword for her, making it razor sharp. I’ve increased your power grip on water, so you should be able to control it down to the molecular level, the water clone said, parrying their swords. Here, watch me try this.

Blaine rose Cassandra’s hand once more, concentrating intensely on his watery clone. Suddenly, a huge sword came from under the clone and skewered through it, reducing the clone to a puddle of water. He rose the clone up from the puddle and back into his own image. Amplifying your power, I was able to absorb the moisture from the ground. Now... how about we try your mind control powers on some of the guards here?

Oh god no.. I would be a major let down if I had any fans.. It’s not like I’d treat them badly, I just wouldn’t be able to keep constant contact. I should be saying those exact words to you anyway! I work at Fix It, the local garage. I’m a mechanic/strong arm of the shop (I do most of the heavy lifting and moving). It’s tiring but it pays decent.  I feel like if I went just to watch, I would get dragged in. That Sam guy seems quite persistent. I mean I don’t find him irritating or anything, he just seems like the type who wants everyone to participate, in which case I wouldn’t want to be that guy who declines. I don’t think you’d be taking any beginners classes either.  What if it is a challenge? Hahaha.. We shall see who can snake the bill.. 

No you wouldn’t! I’d read everything obsessively and always comment on your posts. I’m absolutely sure you’d be famous and great at it. A mechanic, huh? Doing much more with your life than I am. That’s great that it gets you by, Josh.

I’d want you to participate with me if it were my choice, but hey. I just think it’d be fun to have you around. After all, you did refer me, so you deserve to get front row for whatever I do. Haha. Not saying I’ll get anything. You can spot me out in the background or something.

A challenge, huh? You’re on. What do you want? If we’re talking Italian or Mexican food, you can’t beat me. I eat that stuff on the daily.

That is…that is inhumane and just discusting that you and Cooper could get treated like that. Yes I want to hear more about what happened, but only if you are up for it. I don’t want to bring bad memories up for you.

Lets just start on a new page, fresh piece of paper. The current piece of paper with all our history on it has got coffee stains and lots of creases. It’s got things we don’t want on there. God I feel like i’m quoting my father. I do forgive you. Where would you like to meet?

No, talking about it has really helped me. I’d honored if you’d let me tell you about it. I’ve been putting it off for too long so getting it off my chest is helping me to move on, Kurt. It’s just so messy, I don’t want you to be uncomfortable with it, that’s all.

Oh gosh, I really missed how poetic you are, Kurt. I like our coffee stains, but yes, let’s move forward. I really want to -- it’s for the better. How about we meet, uh, at Frozen Spoons? Let’s start something new -- not coffee, frozen yogurt. To a new beginning? I’ll meet you there?

It has been pretty relaxing. Getting off from work for a few days in a row was very nice and thank you I am very glad you consider me a friend, it does feel nice to know this whole blogging thing is working out.  I didn’t know we had a performing arts center either, but he was pretty stoked about it. He likes to invite people to check it out, don’t think it’s for me but I think it might be a big help if you want to get back in the game. And don’t thank me, really, consider it helping a friend out.  Yeah, lunch sounds great. But I think the person who gets the most expensive meal should pay (so if you plan on trying to pay the check, make sure you bring an empty stomach!) 

Soon before you know it, you’ll have a huge Internet following -- remember me when you make it big on the Webs! Where do you work at?

Hey, hey, hey, I’d want you to come with me, even if it’s to watch. I’m so rusty, it’s kind of embarrassing. It’s general performing arts like acting, you said? That’s so awesome.

Is that a challenge? I eat five croissants in the morning with my coffee. But regardless, I intend to pay -- seriously, don’t worry about it, Josh.

I’m catching up with Kurt. I had no idea Rachel Berry would be here too! Glad to know you’ve been doing well. Me... not so much... But I’m hanging in there, don’t worry about me, Quinn.

Yeah, I got you a present! It’s nothing really. It’s just a scarf. I was traveling with family and I saw this beautiful fabric and thought of you. So I bought it. I was going to give you that and a whole bottle of Martinelli and this leather bound journal that I made in my free time. It’s nothing... The whole gift is probably laying around somewhere in my apartment.

Cassandra watched the boy move with attention. She felt his hands on her waist and took a deep breath. It felt like Blaine was part of her, as he started, and then he was just…. Her. It didn’t qualify as a bad feeling, but it wasn’t good. It was just a feeling.

Cassandra heard Baline on her head, and nod. She turned around to face the water tank she managed to stay close to as she got to the training spot and rubbed her hands together. She raised her hands making some water raise and be separated from the rest. She moved her hands making it form Blaine’s face.

Given the option, Blaine never really took control of the person’s body that he merged with. He still found it weird to move someone else’s hand, usually sitting back and watching his host enjoy the power. In fact most of the time he became unconscious. But here he was sharing a body with Cassandra, somewhat comfortable with the arrangement, keeping himself conscious in her body because he found her power interesting. He moved her hand upwards, guiding a wave of water from the tank and adding the rest of his body to his floating head.

The water clone began to move around as if it were Blaine. There’s a lot more you can do. My powers give it added capabilities, he said as if talking from the water clone, creating a sword out of water and solidifying it like ice. Shall we try sparring? The watery Blaine moved closer, waiting for Cassandra to make a move.

Yes I hope we can be on good terms. There may be some minor trust issues, but too much has gone on over the last year for that to hopefully become an issue. You were my first proper best friend and I would like that person back.

I am not judging you at all, unless you are wearing some weird designer outfit that is questionable.

Yeah... Some scientists or something. It started off as just research, but Cooper and I found out they were using us for power... They... They wanted us to... Just... maybe it is better if we talk about it in person. Do you want to meet up soon? I’d really like that.

I know, I’m... so sorry, Kurt. I still can’t forget about that or let it go. But as you said, so much has happened over the last year... I’m so sorry, Kurt. Please forgive me. I would like to have you back as my best friend, too.

My Christmas and holidays were not bad, I just stayed in and relaxed at home. Had a couple of drinks and a Skype chat with my family. This blog was actually a part of my new year’s resolution. The whole resolution itself was to be more.. Out there? I guess try to make friends.. I’ve been here for almost 6 months and I don’t really have much to show for it. How about you any resolutions?  There’s no need to thank me for listening to you. I’m glad you feel comfortable enough to tell me. And yes I think his name is Sam and he works at the performing arts studio. He came in to the shop a few times and was very friendly with everyone. 

Sounds like a nice, relaxing holiday season for you. I’m glad you’re taking the right steps into your New Years Resolution by blogging! And hey, you have one more friend in me, right? I’m sure you have a lot to show for, it’s really just about putting yourself out there as you said. And that’s my resolution. I think after this whole mess, I had to be away from other people. I gave up my passion for theatre and music just to focus on myself. So my resolution is to get back into that.

I’ll make sure to talk to Sam then! I had no idea there was a performing arts studio, thank you for telling me about that, Josh! Seriously, thank you so much for everything. I really can’t thank you enough. 

Say, um, would you like to get lunch some time with me? My treat and everything.

I may.. I would need to see his face, to see if I recognize him. Unless I’ve met someone, it’s hard to match face and name. Isn’t there another actor that lives here now? I’ve seen him posting around here.  Also no.. I haven’t.. I’m sorry.. I wish I could offer more insight on that.. but I talk to my sister a lot.. I really don’t know how I could handle it.. I really don’t know how you do it.. but I respect you for that… 

Another actor? I’m not too well-acquainted with the people of Sunshine City, unfortunately. I mean, I was studying to be a stage actor but... I’m putting that on hold, right now...
