"Well now..."
"Oh my god..."
"...Are you kidding me?!"
As news of the 'Dead Pool' list went out through Japan, the Chinen sisters of Ōta, upon finding out that all three of them were on it, had different feelings on this.
"I supposed such a thing was inevitable." Chinami said, though from the tone of her voice, she obviously was not happy about this.
"Chinami, please don't say things like that." Kira said, frowning at her elder sister.
"My apologies, but... well, having someone put a price on my head, no matter how low it is, such a thing was bound to happen in my line of work."
"Your name isn't the only one listed Nami, so please stop acting like you're the only one burdened by this."
"That wasn't my inten..."
"Who the fuck cares whose names are on it?!" Taria yelled, interrupting. "What I want to know is why am I listed at only 7 million?!"
"...That is what you are upset, Taria?" Kira asked, looking at her younger sister as if she were crazy. "Not the fact that our names are on that list to begin with?"
"Well, like Nami said, her name being on there is a given considering she manages to piss most of the town off with her fortunes." Taria explained, pointing at her eldest sister, who frowned at her. She then pointed at Kira.
"You being on there is also a given, Kira. Especially since you're a fucking cop."
"I'm an investigator, thank you." Kira corrected.
"Whatever. As for me, well... meh, I'm used to people being pissed off at me."
"Gee, dear sister, I can't possibly fathom as to why..."
Division Rap Battle Dead Pool
Do not ask me what this is and why I am posting it, this is yet another product of the insanity that goes on in our 18+ discord server
Credit to @toyama-division / @suginami-division for the idea! 😈
It’s no surprise that with the formation of the Division Rap Battles by the Japanese Government (also known as Chuohku), many teams have been formed either through coercion or by their own volition, with those teams come many high profile people or very prolific celebrities both old and young. As such, a betting ring was formed, by who? Well, no one knows, it could be from criminals to politicians to random civilians to even other contestants in the very same tournament, all that matters is that every person in the Division Rap Battles has a bounty on their head, this is a list of how much they’re apparently worth.

Birds of Prey Character Playlists
Would you believe me if I told you I actually had this and Last Judgment sitting in my drafts for about two months before I finally decided to stop procrastinating and finish them already? I could feel it just taunting me whenever I came back on the site. Today I just said, 'Enough, I'm getting this thing done so it can stop laughing at me!' And I did it!
Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed the songs I chose for of my OC's! I think I did pretty well all things considered.
Tumblr media
A playlist meant to remind you to "see" beyond what is in front of you
Tumblr media
A playlist meant to remind you that no matter what you've done yesterday, it's today that counts
Tumblr media
A playlist meant to remind you that nothing in this life is off-limits!

That... was... awesome!! Taria had a blast singing with the Yozakura!! She's definitely going to have more time to hang with all of them! Thanks a lot, @uenodivision!
Yozakura Battle Anthem
Tumblr media
Bring the Beat!
["New" Yozakura:]
(1, 2, 3)
[Aranai:]
What, did you really think you weren't gonna hear from us next?
["New" Yozakura:]
(1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)
[Aranai:]
Time to show all you fuckers just whose running this place
["New" Yozakura:]
(1, 2, 3)
[Aranai:]
You should have known better not to fuck with any of us
That was your first and final mistake
["New" Yozakura:]
Now the Yozakura is gonna make you break!
[Aranai:]
Riding through the streets, I'm the leader of the pack
Revving up my Yamaha, I'm on the right track
From Bōsōzoku to rap, I've made my claim
Ride or Die motherfuckers, best remember the name!
[Sumire:]
Hacking the system, breaking the code
Diabla in the shadows, watch my story unfold!
Rebel with a cause, in the cyber world I dive
Striving for a new order where we all can thrive
[Kaoru:]
Weaving webs of data, Arachne's the name
In the digital realm, I rise to fame
With every keystroke, I command the stage
My rhymes are timeless, like words on a page
[Kanra:]
Yeah!
Strength of a titan, heart of a child
D.Vil is my name, and I'm running wild!
Amnesia can't hold back the power I wield
No way in the world will I ever yield!
[Kureha:]
In the moon's shadow, my sorrow's muse
Eclipse whispers tales of hues so blue
A canvas of memories, lost in the night
Longing for dawn, I'm the forlorn twilight
[Taria:]
Misfit on the mic, I steal the entire damn show
With every trick I've got, I let the people know
From street to stage, I bring the heat
Simply put, I just can't be beat!
[Aika:]
VeeXn reigns, in pleasure's play
Ruling both the night and the day
Fox in the spotlight, I weave my trance
Living for joy, in every glance
[Aranai:]
Our names are etched in the street
No challenge too great, no defeat
We ride as one, an unbreakable wall
Stand with us, or witness your fall
["New" Yozakura:]
24/7!
Let this be a lesson to all of our enemies!
24/7!
In our domain, we always reign supreme!
[Aranai:]
Wanna fight against us?
["New" Yozakura:]
Idiots! Idiots!
[Aranai:]
Shoulda begged for mercy
["New" Yozakura:]
Now there's nothing to discuss!
Yozakura's bond, tight as the seven seas
Our unity's a force, a real damn dream team!
24/7!
Our spirit, wild and free
From the same creed, this we decree!
24/7!
With every verse, we synergize
Behold our untamed, vibrant energies!
[Aranai:]
Crossing our path is a quick way to Heaven
So a fair warning: don't fuck with the Seven
["New" Yozakura:]
Seven shadows, seven threats, seven reasons to fret
Cross us and it's a choice you'll regret!
(1, 2, 3)
[Aranai:]
What, did you really think you weren't gonna hear from us next?
["New" Yozakura:]
(1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)
[Aranai:]
Time to show all you fuckers just whose running this place
["New" Yozakura:]
(1, 2, 3)
[Aranai:]
You should have known better not to fuck with any of us
That was your first and final mistake
["New" Yozakura:]
Now the Yozakura is gonna make you break!
[Aranai:]
I'm the beacon, the flame, the undying light
"HBIC," they chant, through the day and night
Criminals cower, even they dial for aid
To escape my fury, a price to be paid
[Sumire:]
Right hand of shadows, The Devil's my creed
Cross Yozakura, it's the end you've decreed
Juu, that fuckin' church girl, a yandere in disguise
Against us, her facade will be her demise
[Kaoru:]
Athena's wisdom, Arachne's war
My strategies set, my intellect's core
Fools rush to battle, their ignorance a token
Against my plans, they'll all leave broken
[Kanra:]
Muscle and might, that's my call
Guardian of Yozakura, I stand tall
(Damn!)
A demon to foes, mercy they'll crave
Choose your next step, be brave or the grave!
[Kureha:]
Quiet, unassuming, but fierce in the fray
In the Realm of Darkness, I hold sway
Stronger than the raven, night's own bird
Underestimate me, and your vision will be blurred
[Taria:]
The MiA, I claim what's mine, no debate
From the hands of foes, I liberate
Behave or beware, I'm the thief in the night
Cross me, and I'll take more than just your plight
[Aika:]
Enchantress of night, fox's allure
My power's vast, of that be sure
Tempt fate with me, you'll lose it all
In VeeXn's thrall, into my spell you'll fall
[Aranai:]
Words are spent, our message clear
Defiance in our eyes, confront your fear
Step in our sight, the fuckin' fault's your own
Beware the storm the Yozakura have sown
["New" Yozakura:]
24/7!
Let this be a lesson to all of our enemies!
24/7!
In our domain, we always reign supreme!
[Aranai:]
Wanna fight against us?
["New" Yozakura:]
Idiots! Idiots!
[Aranai:]
Shoulda begged for mercy
["New" Yozakura:]
Now there's nothing to discuss!
Yozakura's bond, tight as the seven seas

Birds of Prey Drama Track 1 - The Future Is Now
Pt. 5
Tumblr media
— Ōta City Police Station, Kira's Office —
[Kira slowly exhaled as she rubbed her forehead while consuming her second cup of coffee. There was no beating around the bush; she was tired. No, tired was too weak a word. She was completely worn out. Fatigued, burnt, exhausted, depleted, on her last legs. Call it whatever you want. But she was all of those things and more. The last time she felt this drained was after a week long march she and her men were forced to endure back during her days serving in the JDSF.]
[Just why was the young woman so exhausted, you wonder? Was it the constant workload from both this job, and her secret one at Chuohku? Was it the consistent training sessions she and Taria had with Chinami over the Hypnosis Microphones? No, though those things did have something to do with it. No, the real reason Kira was tired... was due to the relentless attention she had received since the news broke out about her and her sisters entering the D.R.B.]
[Somehow or other, Akemi had gotten wind that the city's own Chinen Sisters were entering the Division Rap Battle. And once she had gotten wind of it, you knew that the local town gossip was going to put it in her papers. And even though, most people in town took what the infamous news reporter said with a grain of salt, the rumor, itself, was too good for anyone not to believe. And as soon people heard it, the sisters' household was filled with nearly half of the city's population, asking if the rumor was true. It took Kira the better part of hour to clear the people away from their household.]
[Unfortunately, the problem with fame is that it never goes away, especially if the news is still fresh. As a result, all three sisters had been questioned relentlessly throughout the day. Taria, a lover of fame, didn't mind the newfound attention. Chinami, having been a famous rapper in the past, was used to the attention, though that didn't mean she liked it. Kira, however, she hated the newfound fame. All she wanted was some peace and quiet, but that was too much to ask, even at her place of work.]
[That was the main reason why she was hiding out in her office right now with the door locked and the curtains drawn. It was meant to be a barrier between her and the well-meaning but overwhelming congratulations from her colleagues. The investigator sighed once more as she completely downed her cup of caffeine, hoping it would put some pep in her step. As she did, she looked as some of the liquid fell on today's issue of "The Ōta City's Early Bird", written by none other than the Iseri Akemi, herself, the woman purposely responsible for Kira's newfound fame.]
Kira: *Glares at the name on the newspaper* I swear, Kimmy, when I get my hands on you for this...
[The middle sister is knocked out of her thoughts as she hears a buzzing and a ringing coming from her coat pocket, letting her know she has a call on her cell phone. Looking at the caller ID, the investigator frowns as it reads 'The Mayor' on the screen.]
Kira: *Irritated* Not today, Sanjiro.
[Hitting the 'Ignore' button on the screen, she ends the call and shuts her phone off, not in the mood to receive any more unexpected calls. This was another reason she hated her newfound fame. Ever since it was announced she was entering the D.R.B., the mayor of Ōta, Nishikawa Sanjiro, was obviously planning to use Kira's publicity as a footnote to not only usurp control of the police, but also to help him when he decides to run for another term as mayor. The thought that she would be used for something so juvenile made Kira shake her head in disbelief.]
[Sighing, Kira leaned back in her chair. Her thoughts on the mayor soon had her shifting her thoughts toward Chuohku, and the conversation she had with the Deputy Prime Minister just a few days ago...]
A few days ago...
— Deputy Prime Minister's Office, Chuohku HQ —
[Upon arriving at Chuohku, Kira was notified that the Deputy Prime Minister, Ichijiku Kadenokoji, needed to see her immediately. The Vice Chief of the Administrative Inspection Bureau sighed as she already knew what this conversation was going to entail. Taking the elevator to the office of the "second-most powerful woman in Japan", Kira stepped through the doorway where Ichijiku was already waiting for her, one hand on her hip, while the other one was on her signature cane.]
Ichijiku: Chinen.
Kira: Kadenokoji.
Ichijiku: *Frowns* The proper term is "Deputy Prime Minister". Or did your time in the JSDF not teach you how to address your superiors?
Kira: *Frowns back with her arms crossed* It did, but I was always taught that in order to get respect, one must first show respect. If you aren't going to address me by my title, I see no reason to address you by yours.
Ichijiku: You would do well to curb your attitude, Inspector Chinen. I am already quite cross with you as it is.
Kira: *Raises eyebrows* Oh? And for what reason, Deputy Prime Minister? As far as I know, I'm not behind on any work. I've completed all of my assignments. And there have been no complaints against me. So what exactly have I done to make you so upset with me?
Ichijiku: *Coldly* Do not play coy with me, Inspector. I am referring to the matter with your elder sister, Chinami Chinen.
Kira: *Scowls* And what about my elder sister, Deputy Prime Minister?
Ichijiku: You know exactly what I refer to, Chinen. You were supposed to convince your sister to join Chuohku, not join her team when she decided to participate in the Division Rap Battle.
Kira: I don't recall you or anyone else ordering me to do any such assignment. And even if you did, I wouldn't have accepted. You've no business going after either of my sisters. I am already working for you here in Chuohku. You don't need either of them here.
Ichijiku: Otome-sama, herself, requested your sister's presence here in Chuohku! She would have been handsomely rewarded for her service. And even if she wasn't, she should have been honored that the Prime Minister asked for her specifically. Anyone else would have gladly have taken this opportunity to work for her, let alone Chuohku!
Kira: *Scoffs* That's what you think...
Ichijiku: What was that?
Kira: *Sarcastically* I said there's nothing that can be done. Chinami won't join Chuohku no matter what you or Otome-sama say or do. So my advice is to be glad that she's even participating in the D.R.B., and move on.
[At this, the two women locked eyes, disdain for one another, clearly simmering between them.]
Ichijiku: Chuohku will let you do as you please—for now. But I advise you to perform well in the tournament, Inspector. Your career—and perhaps much more—is on the line.
[Understanding exactly what the Deputy Prime Minister was saying, the woman in question was shocked to see Kira quickly close the gap between them, a dangerous glint in her eyes.]
Kira: *Glares* I take you to be a very smart woman, Kadenokoji. After all, you have to be smart to have risen as far as you are in the government. ...But even smart people can make errors every now and then. So that's how I'll interpret what you just said right now: nothing more than an error. Errors are fine to make, so long as you don't make them again. Which is why I'm telling you this for future reference...
[The Deputy Prime Minister looks in surprise as the former JSDF officer leaned in close, getting within kissing distance to her face, the dangerous glint still in her eyes.]
Kira: *Speaks low and dangerous* ...ever threaten my family again, and the Prime Minister will be searching for a new right-hand woman.
[With her statement said, the Vice Chief of Chuohku's Administrative Inspection Bureau moved out of the Deputy Prime Minister's space, with the woman in question still looking at her shocked, as if she had trouble processing what had just occurred.]
Kira: Now then, if there's nothing else, I'll be taking my leave. Give the Prime Minister my regards, please.
[With nothing else, Kira turned on her heel and exited the room, leaving the second-woman in charge behind, not looking back at her.]
Current time...
[Kira sighed as memories of what had transpired played in her mind. She knew that Kadenokoji was going to do something to make her pay for her words. Truthfully, Kira was surprised at herself. She had always believed and prided herself on having very good control of her emotions. But when someone threatens or attacks someone the investigator cared for, she lost all sense of logic and reasoning.]
[She wouldn't attack the person; she wasn't a barbarian after all. But she would let them know what would occur if they continued their actions. More often than not, the individual got the hint not to push their luck, less they incur Kira's wrath. It worked for her numerous times in the past, and she wasn't disappointed to see it still proved effective.]
[The investigator sighed once more before her thoughts drifted to the final round to determine who would be the team to represent the city of Ōta. So far, she and Taria had done well to assist Chinami. But Kira knew it was only due to her elder sister that the three of them had made it this far.]
Kira: *Resolutely* I've got to pull my weight in this next match. I don't want Chinami to have to worry about me and Taria forever.
[Seeing as her work was almost over, she began to gather her things. The final round wouldn't wait, and neither would she.]
A week later...
— Senzokuike Park, Ōta City —
[In one of the largest parks in Tokyo next to a beautiful pond, a large crowd of people were gathered as the sun set in the night sky. Why? Because this was the final round to determine just which team would go on to represent Ōta in the Division Rap Battle. The stage was set under the open sky, the crowd's energy palpable as the announcer took center stage, his voice booming through the speakers.]
Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the final showdown of Ōta Division! Tonight, we decide who will represent the city of Ōta in the Division Rap Battle! Will it be the team of...
[Pointing to his left, a group of young teenagers stood off to the side of stage, cocky looks on their faces.]
Announcer: ...the Ōta Guardians? Or will it be the team of...
[Now pointing to his right, the recognizable team of Chinami, Kira, and Taria stood off, all with various expressions on their faces.]
Announcer: ...the Birds of Prey?!
[The crowd erupted into cheers, a sea of divided colors waving banners for either the 'Ōta Guardians' or the 'Birds of Prey'. The BoP watched from the wings, the crowd's roar reaching them even where they were.]
Taria: *Scowls with her arms crossed* I hate how Chuohku's just using this to boost their popularity. It's all just a show to them.
Chinami: *Places a hand on Taria's shoulder* It's more than that for us. This is our chance to make a statement, on our own terms.
[Back on stage, a coin glinted in the spotlight as it was tossed into the air. The announcer caught it, his smile wide as he announced the result.]
Announcer: The Ōta Guardians will take the stage first!
[At his announcement, the crowd cheered as the teenagers took the stage, commanding the crowd's attention as they began their song. As they were rapping, the Chinen sisters all huddled together, listening to the distant verses of their opponents.]
Chinami: We'll perform the song we've been perfecting these past weeks. It's time to trust our practice.
Kira: *Fidgets* But we haven't finalized everything. Are we really ready?
Taria: *Grins* Ready? I was born ready! Let's show them what we've got!
[As the Ōta Guardians finished their set, the crowd's applause was thunderous. The stage was now set for the 'Birds of Prey'. The sisters stepped onto the stage, the spotlight embracing them. They each exchanged a nod, the music cueing up as they prepared to unleash their song, the culmination of weeks of hard work and passion.]
Bring the Beat!
[Chinami:]
Here comes this town's top runners
Time for Birds of Prey to take the stage
Sisters that clean out the wackos
[Birds of Prey:]
Birds! Birds!
[Chinami:]
We run this city
[Birds of Prey:]
We run this city!
[Chinami:]
Don't stop your feet, step forward
Those who strike back will go down
This is our district, Ōta City
Run through
[Birds of Prey:]
We run this city!
[Kira:]
I'm the Huntress in the night, in the truth I trust
Through the city's darkest alleys, I chase the unjust
With every case I crack, I'm protecting our nest
Against all foes, I'll put my skills to the test
In the rap battle's blaze, I stand with my kin
My resolve is iron, we're determined to win!
For justice, for honor, we'll fight till the end
With the mic in my hand, I will not bend!
[Chinami:]
Call me Oracle, with foresight I lead
Through time's tangled web, I see where paths lead
For my sisters, I stand, a shield against fate
In the rap battle's fury, I'll demonstrate our weight
The future's a riddle, wrapped in a rhyme
I'll unravel the enigma, beat by beat, line by line
With visions of victory, clear in my sight
We'll claim our triumph, in the heart of the night
[Taria:]
Oh, look at these Guardians, thinking they're so slick
But against Misfit's rhymes, their words, they just will not stick
I dance in the shadows, where the wild things play
In the rap game's jungle, I'll lead the fray
Don't underestimate the power that I wield
In the battle of verses, I'll never yield!
[Chinami:]
Here comes this town's top runners
Time for Birds of Prey to take the stage
[Taria:]
Sisters that clean out the wackos
[Birds of Prey:]
Birds! Birds!
[Kira:]
We run this city
[Birds of Prey:]
We run this city!
[Chinami:]
Don't stop your feet, step forward
Those who strike back will go down
[Taria:]
This is our district, Ōta City
[Chinami:]
Run through
[Birds of Prey:]
We run this city!
[Chinami:]
Here comes this town's top runners
Time for Birds of Prey to take the stage
[Taria:]
Sisters that clean out the wackos
[Birds of Prey:]
Birds! Birds!
[Kira:]
We run this city
[Birds of Prey:]
We run this city!
[Chinami:]
Don't stop your feet, step forward
Those who strike back will go down
[Taria:]
This is our district, Ōta City
[Chinami:]
Run through
[Birds of Prey:]
We run this city!
[The final notes of the Birds of Prey performance linger in the air as the crowd erupts into a thunderous applause. The announcer steps back onto the stage, his eyes wide with excitement.]
Announcer: What an electrifying performance! Now, it's time to decide. Who do you all want to be the ones to represent Ōta? Will it be the 'Ōta Guardians' or the 'Birds of Prey'?
[The crowd's response is immediate and overwhelming, a chorus of voices rising in unison.]
Crowd: Birds of Prey! Birds of Prey!
[The sisters exchange a look of disbelief, joy, and pride. They've done it. They've won.]
Chinami: We really did it. We're going to represent Ōta.
Kira: It's more than I could have hoped for. We stood together and we conquered.
Taria: Let's show the rest of the world what we're made of!
[As the cheers continue, a chant begins to build among the crowd, growing louder and more insistent.]
Crowd: Encore! Encore! Encore!
[The sisters smile at each other, a silent agreement passing between them. They step back up to the microphones, the crowd's anticipation palpable.]
Chinami: For our fans and for Ōta, let's give them one more.
[The beat drops, and the Birds of Prey launch into their encore, a victory lap for the new champions of Ōta.]
The End

Day in the Life: Birds of Prey Workplaces
Tumblr media
Chinami works as a scryer/diviner in the city of Ōta. This basically means she is able to see into a person's future and tell them what will occur. This makes her well-liked, but also hated by the most of the populace, who either dislike the fortunes she gives, or don't believe her. It's ironic that as soon as something bad happens, they are quick to blame her. Still, she continues doing what she does. Why, no one can say, not even herself...

Tumblr media
Kira works as an investigator for the Ōta City Police Department. She used to work as a police officer until she was "promoted" to the rank of investigator. Despite the increased pay and the privileges that come with her position, she secretly dislikes her role because she hates having to deal with crime after it has occurred.
youtube
She also works as a Vice Chief to Chuohku's Administrative Inspection Bureau, which typically has her inspecting, reviewing and copying paperwork, inspecting administrative buildings, overseeing activities, and maintaining compliance and integrity in the divisions. She doesn't care for Chuohku or their way of doing things, and only works with them because it gives her access to sensitive information, which she is using to locate her mother.

Tumblr media
Taria works as a street performer, entertaining the people of Ōta with her bizarre yet eye-raising stunts and tricks that she picked up while working for a circus troupe while she was traveling. Her sisters frequently tell her she needs to get a "real" job, but she pays them no mind, citing that what either of them do isn't a "real" job either.
youtube
At night, Taria works as something a vigilante, protecting the streets of Tokyo from those who seek to do harm to innocent bystanders. She's thankful her time in the circus prepared for her all the running and jumping around she has to do.

Chinami's Thoughts on Fukuoka Division
Tumblr media
Sanyu Inouye
In the stillness of the night, Chinami sits alone, the rest of her home enveloped in the quiet slumber of her sisters. Restless thoughts keep her from joining them in sleep, a sense of anticipation stirring within her. She moves silently through the darkened room, her hands finding their way to the familiar surface of her crystal ball.
The night’s silence is a canvas for her thoughts, and as she settles before the crystal ball, she lights a single candle. Its flame flickers, casting a gentle light that reflects off the crystal’s surface, creating a soft luminescence that fills the room with an ethereal glow. With her family at rest, Chinami embraces the solitude, allowing her mind to focus solely on the visions that await her.
She breathes deeply, finding comfort in the ritual that bridges her waking world with the unseen. Her fingers trace the smooth contours of the crystal ball, and she whispers a silent invocation for clarity and truth. The candle’s flame dances in response, as if acknowledging her request, and she begins her silent communion with the pasts, presents, and futures of one of the two Fukuoka Division teams, MIHANASA.
"Inouye Sanyu."
The Past: Chinami’s crystal ball delves into the depths of Sanyu Inouye’s past, revealing a childhood stolen by illness and the cold ambition of Chuohku. Her innocence was traded for the title of ‘Subject X,’ a lab rat subjected to harrowing experiments that reshaped her very being. The ball shows her struggle for survival, her escape from the clutches of those who saw her as nothing more than a tool, and her journey to Fukuoka, where she forged a new identity out of the ashes of her former life.
The Present: In the present, Sanyu stands as a beacon of hope for the forsaken, her leadership of MIHANASA a testament to her resilience. The crystal reflects her daily battles, the nightmares that haunt her, and the ‘curse’ she bears with a mix of defiance and vulnerability. Yet, it also shines with her optimism, her refusal to bow down to societal norms, and her fierce protection of her newfound family. Her role as MC Rogue in the rap battles is both an outlet for her anger and a platform to voice the plight of the forgotten.
The Future: The future is a canvas of possibilities for Sanyu. The crystal ball shimmers with the potential for her to rise above her past, to use her strength and her voice to challenge the status quo. Her forced participation in the Division Rap Battle may become a double-edged sword, offering a chance to strike back at Chuohku and to elevate MIHANASA from the shadows of Fukuoka to the spotlight of recognition and respect.
Tasuku Kawanoe
"Kawanoe Tasuku."
The Past: Chinami’s crystal ball delves deeper into Tasuku’s past, revealing a life that began with the promise of inheritance and leadership within a prestigious family. However, this path was cruelly altered by the betrayal of his stepmother, leading to a tragic event that cost him his right eye and his place in his family. The ball shows his resilience in the face of such treachery, his refusal to blame others for his misfortune, and his determination to take responsibility for his own life.
The Present: In the present, Tasuku’s vibrant personality shines through. His boisterous nature and lack of inhibition, while sometimes causing friction, are underpinned by a deep sense of loyalty and care for his friends and family. The crystal reflects his strong presence in Fukuoka, where he has found a sense of belonging and purpose. Despite his rough exterior, he is a unifying force, his charisma drawing people together and his protective instincts ensuring their safety.
The Future: The future for Tasuku is a blend of potential and challenge. The crystal ball shimmers with the promise of him fully embracing his role within MIHANASA, supporting Sanyu’s leadership while also finding his own place to shine. His future suggests a balance between his love for the thrill of the gamble and his commitment to the family he has found in Fukuoka, indicating that he will continue to grow as a person and as a member of his team.
Ming Kawanoe
"Kawanoe Ming."
The Past: The crystal ball reveals Ming Kawanoe’s past as a tale of loss and resilience. Her mother’s death and her father’s remarriage set the stage for a series of betrayals that would shape her life. The ball shows her strength in the face of adversity, her refusal to be married off, and her fierce loyalty to her brother, Tasuku, even mirroring his injury in a drastic act of solidarity.
The Present: In the present, Ming is seen as the nurturing heart of MIHANASA, her maturity and caring nature earning her the affectionate title of “mom” among her friends and the children of Fukuoka. The crystal reflects her patience and her role as a teacher’s aide, highlighting her love for learning and her dream of motherhood. Despite her calm demeanor, the ball also shows her protective ferocity, especially when those she cares for are threatened.
The Future: The future holds a path of nurturing and growth for Ming. The crystal ball shimmers with the potential for her to realize her dreams of teaching and raising children, suggesting that her influence will extend far beyond her immediate circle. Her role in MIHANASA is not just as a member but as a guiding force, providing stability and care for the team and the community.
MIHANASA
Despite the light in the room being dim, thanks to only a lit candle, Chinami was still able to lay her prized tarot cards out in front of her, which she has done many times with practice. It has become effortless to her, just as effortless has it is choosing the right cards.
Sanyu Inouye - The Hermit: Chinami draws The Hermit for Sanyu, symbolizing introspection and the search for truth. The card suggests that her leadership will be guided by wisdom and a search for justice. The Hermit also emphasizes the importance of solitude and inner reflection, which aligns with Sanyu’s resilience and determination.
Tasuku Kawanoe - The Fool: For Tasuku, The Fool is chosen, representing new beginnings and fearlessness. The card suggests that Tasuku’s adventurous spirit will continue to lead the team, even if it means taking risks. His resilience and willingness to start anew align with The Fool’s energy.
Ming Kawanoe - The Empress: Ming is represented by The Empress, a card of nurturing and growth. The card reflects her maternal instincts, her love for learning, and her dream of raising children. As the "mom" of MIHANASA, Ming’s role is pivotal, and The Empress signifies her ability to foster unity and care within the team.
The High Points: Chinami sees the good in each member’s life. Sanyu’s high point was her escape from Chuohku’s grasp, finding freedom and a new family in Fukuoka. Tasuku’s high point was the formation of MIHANASA, where he found purpose and camaraderie despite his past betrayals. Ming’s high point was the establishment of her school, where she cares for the children of Fukuoka.
The Team's Future: The future of MIHANASA, the Fukuoka Division rap battle team, is a tapestry woven with threads of determination, resilience, and unity. As they step onto the stage of the Division Rap Battle, their collective willpower propels them forward, challenging the status quo and seeking justice for those who have been forsaken.
The road ahead is both treacherous and promising, but their bond as a team—their shared purpose—will be their guiding light. Will they be able to change things for themselves and their division for the better? Or were they doomed before they even started? Only time will tell...

Kira's Thoughts on Fukuoka Division
Tumblr media
Sanyu Inouye
"Sanyu Inouye’s situation is complex. As an investigator, I’m aware of her history with Chuohku, and it’s troubling. The allegations against her are serious, and if true, they cannot be ignored. However, my approach is always to seek the truth, not to make assumptions based on a person’s past. If Sanyu is indeed guilty of crimes, then as an officer of the law, it’s my duty to ensure she is brought to justice through the proper channels.
That said, I also believe in due process and the rights of the accused. My role is not to judge but to investigate. I understand Sanyu’s animosity towards Chuohku and law enforcement in general, given her experiences. It’s a reminder that the system is far from perfect. If she’s innocent, then she deserves to have her name cleared. Either way, my actions will be guided by evidence and the pursuit of justice, not personal vendettas or organizational biases."
Tasuku Kawanoe
"Tasuku-kun's past is undoubtedly tragic, and I can understand the difficulties he must have faced after being cast out by his family. However, my focus as an investigator is on the present. His association with Sanyu Inouye and the Fukuoka Division, MIHANASA, raises questions, especially given their forced participation in the Division Rap Battle by Chuohku.
While I don’t hold his past against him, I am cautious about his current activities and the potential for criminal behavior. His review of me suggests a wariness of law enforcement, which is not uncommon, but it won’t deter me from performing my duties. If there’s any indication that Tasuku or his team are involved in illegal activities, it will be my responsibility to investigate thoroughly and impartially."
Ming Kawanoe
"Ming-san's circumstances and her role within MIHANASA are certainly noteworthy. Her motherly qualities and dedication to the well-being of children in Fukuoka command respect. Its clear she’s overcome significant adversity, not only in terms of her family history but also in coping with the loss of her arm. Such resilience is admirable.
However, as an investigator, my primary concern must be her current affiliations and activities with MIHANASA, especially given their reluctant involvement in the Division Rap Battle. While I can sympathize with her struggles, I must remain vigilant. Her association with a group that has been forced into participation by Chuohku raises questions that cannot be ignored. My duty is to ensure that no laws are being broken and that the safety of the public is maintained. If Ming or her team step outside the bounds of the law, it will be my responsibility to act accordingly."
MIHANASA
"MIHANASA’s situation is certainly not one to be envied. Being forced into the Division Rap Battle by Chuohku adds a layer of complexity to their participation. As an investigator, I can’t help but sympathize with their predicament. No one should be coerced into a competition against their will, and it raises questions about Chuohku’s methods and intentions.
However, sympathy does not equate to blind trust. While I feel for their situation, I must also remain cautious. Their backgrounds, particularly Sanyu’s history with Chuohku, require careful consideration. My role is to ensure that the competition remains fair and that no laws are broken. If MIHANASA’s involvement leads to any illegal activities, it will be my duty to intervene. For now, I will observe and assess their actions within the DRB, hoping they can compete with honor despite the circumstances of their entry."

Taria's Thoughts on Fukuoka Division
Tumblr media
Sanyu Inouye
"Sanyu Inouye, huh? The lab rat-turned-leader of MIHANASA. Gotta say, anyone who’s been through the wringer with Chuohku and comes out swinging gets a nod from me. She’s got guts, and I can respect that. Attractive? Well, I won’t deny she’s got a certain edge that could turn heads. But it’s her spirit, that fire to fight back, that really catches my attention.
I mean, leading MIHANASA, standing up for the forsaken of Fukuoka—that’s her battleground. And if she's stealing from the rich and giving to the poor, then she's alright in my book. We may walk different paths, but we're both sticking it to the powers that be. So yeah, Sanyu’s got my support. Just hope she keeps her guard up—Chuohku’s not known for playing nice."
Tasuku Kawanoe
"Tasuku, the ‘One-Eyed Bastard’ of Fukuoka, huh? Gotta say, his wild streak and that ‘I don’t give a damn’ attitude? Kinda hot, not gonna lie. He’s got that roguish charm that can turn heads and start brawls, and I can appreciate a guy who knows how to handle himself in a scrap. And his review of me? That’s the kind of support that gets you places. He sees the grit and gall, the stuff that’s kept me alive and kicking. Age is just a number; it’s the street smarts that count. If Tasuku’s rooting for me, then he’s got my back, and I’ve got his. We might just make a killer team, in more ways than one."
Ming Kawanoe
"The 'mom' of MIHANASA, huh? I can respect her for taking care of her crew and those kids. Reminds me a bit of my own mom, not that I’d ever admit it out loud. But her missing arm? That’s her battle scar, a sign she’s been through the wringer and came out the other side. No pity needed there; she's tough as nails.
As for her opinion of me? Well, let's just say we don't see eye to eye. She thinks I'm just a thief, but she's missing the bigger picture. It’s not about taking what belongs to others; it’s about redistributing a bit of wealth from those who’ve got too much and don’t give back. And if her and her brother’s luck runs out? Well, I’ll be around. Maybe not to save them, but at least to say 'I told you so.'"
MIHANASA
"MIHANASA, the forsaken ones of Fukuoka, huh? Can’t say I don’t feel a twinge of sympathy for them. They’ve been dealt a rough hand, and I know a thing or two about fighting against the odds. They’ve got their own brand of rebellion, and that’s something I can get behind. I don't know if I'd call them 'allies'. Maybe that’s a strong word, but I wouldn’t mind having them watch my back in a scrap.
As for facing them in the Division Rap Battle? Now that’s a showdown I’m looking forward to. They’ve got fire, they’ve got grit, and they’re not afraid to stand up and spit in the face of those who’ve stepped on them. Yeah, I reckon it’ll be quite the performance. Let’s see if their rhymes are as sharp as their will to survive. Either way, it’ll be one hell of a show."

Chinami's Thoughts on Niigata Division
Tumblr media
Seiji Tsukimoto
Chinami sighed. It had been a long day. She had pushed herself to revealing the timelines of many individuals today. But it was necessary considering she had put her work on hold due to the Division Rap Battle, and making sure her siblings were prepared. She sighed as she spotted Jin watching something on T.V. She decided both he and her would rest for good after this. If he wasn't tired, his mother certainly was.
Sighing once more, the blind diviner turned her attention to her mystic ball and calmed herself as she decided to gleam into one last team: Niigata Division, Valor Guard.
"Tsukimoto Seiji."
The Past: Chinami’s crystal ball reveals a tumultuous past for Seiji, one that began with the heart-wrenching loss of his parents and the mysterious disappearance of his sister. These events cast a long shadow over his childhood, leading him into a spiral of delinquency. Yet, within this darkness, a figure emerged—Shotaro Kusanagi, a police officer who saw potential in the troubled youth. The ball shows how Shotaro’s influence was the catalyst for Seiji’s transformation, guiding him from the brink of self-destruction to a path of honor and service.
The Present: In the present, Seiji stands as a pillar of strength and authority as the Chief of Police. The crystal reflects his unwavering dedication to his duty, a commitment that is both his shield and his burden. Despite his stoic exterior, the ball shows a man who is deeply scarred by the tragedies of his life—the loss of his wife and son, and the weight of single parenthood. His love for his daughter Yaeka is the sole light in his world, a beacon that guides him through the darkness of his grief.
The Future: The future holds a complex weave of possibilities for Seiji. The crystal ball shimmers with the potential for healing and resolution, suggesting that his journey with Valor Guard may lead to unexpected allies and new strengths. His quest to find his sister and his desire for a kinder world are intertwined with his role as a leader, indicating that the bonds he forms in the Division Rap Battle could be instrumental in his search for peace and closure.
Lyall Shiba
"Shiba Lyall."
The Past: Chinami's crystal ball reveals a past where Lyall’s early success in the limelight as a model and actor is abruptly darkened by a life-threatening encounter with the 'Sweetheart Killer.' This traumatic event becomes a turning point, leading him away from the glamour of his former life and into the depths of addiction as he grapples with survivor's guilt. The ball shows his struggle to find meaning after such a harrowing experience, and his eventual decision to pursue a career in law enforcement as a way to make sense of the chaos that enveloped him.
The Present: In the present, Lyall is seen as a highly skilled detective, his outward charm and confidence belying the emotional scars that linger beneath. The crystal reflects his relentless pursuit of justice, often pushing the boundaries of the law to provide closure for the victims' families. Despite his empathetic nature, there’s a sense of vengeance that simmers within him, a desire for retribution against the one who nearly ended his life and caused so much pain to others.
The Future: The future holds a path fraught with personal and professional challenges for Lyall. The crystal ball shimmers with the potential for confrontation and the possibility of facing his attacker once again. His role in Valor Guard, alongside Seiji Tsukimoto and Ayumu Hayami, suggests that his quest for justice may soon intersect with his thirst for revenge. The future is uncertain—will Lyall find the peace he seeks, or will the quest for vengeance consume him?
Ayumu Hayami
"Hayami Ayumu."
The Past: Chinami’s crystal ball delves deeper into Ayumu’s past, revealing a life of privilege that felt hollow due to the superficiality of those around him. His decision to become a paramedic was a defining moment, born from a harrowing experience that unveiled his true calling—to save lives. The ball shows his journey of self-discovery, marked by the pain of betrayal and the realization that wealth could not buy genuine connections or happiness.
The Present: In the present, Ayumu’s dual nature is evident. To the world, he is the jovial, fatherly figure, always ready with a smile and a helping hand. But in the line of duty, he transforms into a paragon of professionalism, his demeanor becoming stern as he navigates the life-and-death situations that define his work. The crystal reflects his unwavering dedication to his patients and his guarded heart, wary of being used for his family’s wealth.
The Future: The future for Ayumu is a blend of hope and uncertainty. The crystal ball hints at the possibility of new beginnings and deeper relationships, particularly within Valor Guard. His future is intertwined with his ability to open up and trust again, to find solace in the bonds he forms with his teammates, and to continue his noble work with renewed vigor and purpose.
Valor Guard
Chinami, with her deep connection to the spiritual realm, prepares to review the team of Valor Guard through the ancient wisdom of tarot cards. She lights incense, the scent filling the room with a sense of calm and focus. Her son Jin’s soft breathing is a comforting background as she shuffles her deck and lays out the cards for each member.
Seiji Tsukimoto - The Justice: For Seiji, Chinami draws The Justice card, symbolizing balance, fairness, and truth. It embodies his role as the Chief of Police and his unwavering commitment to fairness and truth. The Justice card is associated with law, karma, and the consequences of actions, which aligns with Seiji’s dedication to upholding the law and seeking justice for his city and his family.
Lyall Shiba - The Hanged Man: Lyall's card is The Hanged Man, representing sacrifice and new perspectives. It represents his experience of being suspended in time after surviving the 'Sweetheart Killer.' This card often signifies a period of voluntary sacrifice and the need to see things from a new perspective, mirroring Lyall's transformation from a celebrity to a dedicated detective, and his current struggle with his desire for revenge.
Ayumu Hayami - The Healer (King of Cups): Ayumu is represented by The Healer, akin to the King of Cups, reflecting emotional balance and compassion. It symbolizes his compassionate and caring nature as a paramedic. This card reflects emotional balance, healing, and the ability to remain calm during crises. Ayumu’s decision to leave his family’s wealth behind and dedicate his life to helping others is perfectly encapsulated by this card.
The High Points: Chinami sees the good in each member’s life. Seiji’s high point came when he was appointed Chief of Police, a role that allowed him to enact change and seek justice on a larger scale. It was a moment that affirmed his dedication to his city and provided a new sense of purpose after personal tragedies.
Lyall's high point was his decision to become a homicide detective after surviving an attack by the ‘Sweetheart Killer.’ This choice marked a significant shift from his previous life as a celebrity, redirecting his focus towards serving others and seeking justice for victims like himself.
Ayumu's defining moment was his decision to pursue a career as a paramedic, driven by a desire to save lives and make a tangible difference. This decision represented a departure from the expectations of his wealthy background and set him on a path of service and compassion.
The Team's Future: For Valor Guard as a team, their formation represents a collective high point. Coming together to participate in the Division Rap Battle, they each bring their individual strengths and experiences, creating a united front with the potential to impact their community and find personal redemption. But will their roads together have them finding closure, or destruction? Will what they seek at the end of their journey be want they want? If not, what will become of them? Only time will tell...

Kira's Thoughts on Niigata Division
Tumblr media
Seiji Tsukimoto
"Chief Tsukimoto's decision to join the Division Rap Battle certainly caught me off guard. He’s always been the epitome of dedication and seriousness within the department, so seeing him step into such an unconventional arena is surprising. However, knowing Seiji-san, there's a strategic reason behind his choice. Perhaps it’s related to a case he's passionate about, or maybe there's a personal element I'm not privy to.
While I have my concerns about the risks involved and the potential implications for our department's reputation, I trust Seiji’s judgment. He's not one to act recklessly. If he believes this is the best course of action, then he has my support. As a fellow officer who has also faced personal trials, I understand the need to explore unorthodox methods at times. I'll be keeping a close eye on the situation, ready to assist if needed."
Lyall Shiba
"Detective Shiba is a complex character within our department. His reputation precedes him, both as a former celebrity and as a detective with an unorthodox approach to his cases. While some may find his methods and his flirtatious nature exasperating, I can’t deny the results he achieves. His drive and determination to solve cases, often at the expense of protocol, are traits I recognize and respect, even if they clash with my own principles of order and discipline.
It also doesn't help that I know he and Kaoru of Edogawa are seeing each other. If he was surprised when he saw me at Kaoru's house, he certainly didn't show it. I'm more surprised he and Kaoru are actually an item. ...But then again, I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised considering Kaoru's less-than-ideal tendencies, and Lyall's habit of breaking rules.
As for his appearance, it’s not my place to comment on his attractiveness—that’s irrelevant to his capabilities as a detective. What matters to me is his effectiveness in the field and his commitment to justice, which, despite our differences, I believe aligns with the values of the Niigata Police Department. His participation in the Division Rap Battle alongside Chief Tsukimoto is unexpected, but if it serves the greater good and brings us closer to solving cases, then it has my cautious support."
Ayumu Hayami
"I've known Hayami-san for a while now, due to him being an old friend of Seiji-san's. His dedication as a paramedic is something I deeply respect. His commitment to saving lives, regardless of the circumstances, aligns with the core values I uphold in law enforcement. It’s clear that his decision to step away from his family’s wealth and title was not made lightly, and it speaks to his character that he chose a path of service over comfort and privilege.
While I'm aware of his affluent background, I don't hold any resentment towards him for it. We all have our histories and what matters is how we act in the present. As for his ex-wife's connection to Chuohku, it doesn’t affect my view of him. We're professionals, and personal matters stay personal. If he knows anything about my own secrets, I trust in his discretion. He's proven himself to be a man of integrity, and I have no reason to believe he would act otherwise."
Valor Guard
"Valor Guard’s entry into the Division Rap Battle is an interesting development. As members of law enforcement and emergency services, their involvement brings a certain level of credibility and seriousness to the competition. It’s reassuring to see colleagues from different branches uniting for a common cause, even if it’s in an unexpected arena like rap battles.
The prospect of facing them in the future, possibly alongside my sisters, does give me pause. It’s one thing to work together within the confines of our professional duties, but the competitive nature of the DRB adds a layer of complexity to our relationships. I’m not worried about their capabilities—they’re undoubtedly skilled in their fields—but I do have concerns about how this might affect our working dynamic.
Ultimately, my hope is that their participation is for the greater good and that it doesn’t distract from our primary responsibilities. As long as they maintain their professionalism and uphold the law, I see no issue with their involvement. However, I’ll remain vigilant, ready to step in if the lines between duty and competition become blurred."

Taria's Thoughts on Niigata Division
Tumblr media
Seiji Tsukimoto
"Great. Just great! Bad enough we had one cop joining this stupid tournmaent, but now we have the fuckin' Chief of Police in the mix too?! What the hell?! Are cops that fuckin' lazy that they can just join a rap battle?! Ugh!
Anyway, can't say I'm thrilled to see him strutting around in the rap battle scene. It’s one thing to deal with the police on the streets, but having them in the DRB? That’s a whole new level of meddling! And to make matters worse, my sister, Kira, is working with him, which I can't be too surprised about. She always did have a knack for keeping strange company.
I just hope she doesn't get caught up in whatever he's planning. The police have never been friends of mine, and I doubt this Seiji-guy is any different. But hey, if he steps out of line, he'll find out that not all battles can be won with a badge and a gun."
Lyall Shiba
"Lyall Shiba, the detective with a past that's more tabloid than textbook. Yeah, I've heard about him—hard not to when he's dating Kaoru, who's been my inside girl more times than I can count. Attractive? Sure, in that 'I've walked off a magazine cover and solved crimes by lunchtime' kind of way. But don't let the looks fool you; there's more to this guy than meets the eye.
We've crossed paths a few times, thanks to Kaoru. And while I'm not about to cozy up to a cop, Lyall's not your typical badge. He's got a streak of rebellion in him, and I can respect that. He's been through the wringer and come out the other side with his own brand of justice. Would I take a shot at him if he wasn't with the cops? Maybe, but not the kind you're thinking.
As for working with the police, well, I can't say I'm fuckin' thrilled, but I get it. We all have our battles to fight, and sometimes you gotta pick the side that lets you sleep at night. ...But for his sake, he better not do anything to hurt Kaoru. If he does, not even his cop buddies are gonna protect him when I get a hold of him."
Ayumu Hayami
"And last but not least, the paramedic. He’s not a cop, so he doesn't get the automatic side-eye from me, but that doesn’t mean he gets a free pass either. He's tight with the Chief, which means he's closer to the law than I'd like.
What's more, I've heard from Aranai over in Ueno that he has a thing for that nun whose on her team. ...Huh, a paramedic having a crush on a nun? What kinda nonsense is that? I'd thought religious figures would hate these guys cause its a science vs. religion thing or something. But anyway, if he likes that nun, well, that's his business. I’ve got no love for religion, but I’m not about to judge someone for who they fall for. As long as he’s not preaching at me or trying to convert me, we’re good.
Besides that, I've heard stories, you know? About how he saves lives, how he’s there when people are at their worst, offering a helping hand. That’s something even I can’t knock. Sure, he’s part of Valor Guard, and that puts him in the same boat as the rest of them. But saving lives is his game, and that’s noble, no matter how you slice it. Do I trust him? Not entirely—guilt by association and all that. But I respect what he does. As long as he keeps his nose clean and doesn’t start playing cop, we won’t have a problem."
Valor Guard
"Valor Guard, the second cop squad of the DRB. I reiterate what I said earlier: are cops that lazy that they can just join a rap tournament on a whim? Ugh!
Anyway, can't say I'm thrilled about having the Chief of Police and his detective buddy playing rappers. It's like watching a hawk join a flock of pigeons—just doesn't sit right with me. And Kira, my own sister, thinking about teaming up with them? That's a whole other level of complicated. I get it, she's got her reasons, but it’s not exactly a comforting thought.
Am I going to make trouble for them? Let's just say I’m not planning a welcome party. I've got my own way of doing things, and if they cross me, they'll wish they hadn't. But I'm not out to start a war. I'll give them a fair warning: stay out of my way, and I'll stay out of theirs. We’re all in this D.R.B. for our own reasons, and as long as they don't step on my toes, I'll keep my claws sheathed. ...For now."

Chinami's Thoughts on Kumamoto Division
Tumblr media
Aoba Yamamura
In the tranquil stillness of her home, Chinami prepares for the ritual of divination. Her son Jin plays quietly in the corner, his innocent laughter a gentle melody in the background. The room is dimly lit, save for the soft glow of candles that cast dancing shadows upon the walls. Chinami’s sisters, Kira and Taria, are elsewhere, their presence felt but not seen, allowing her the solitude necessary for her practice.
She sits at an aged wooden table, worn smooth by years of use. Before her rests the crystal ball, an orb of mysteries waiting to be unveiled. Chinami takes a deep breath, centering herself, her thoughts clearing like the sky after a storm. She reaches out, her fingers brushing against the cool surface of the crystal, a conduit to the lives of those she seeks to understand.
With a final glance at Jin, a silent promise of protection and love, Chinami takes a deep breathe and lets the visions come to her. The crystal ball becomes her window to the souls of the team known as Strange Magic, each member’s story ready to unfold beneath her perceptive gaze.
"Yamamura Aoba."
The Past: Chinami’s crystal ball reveals a childhood where the seeds of Aoba’s complex relationship with fire were sown. The burn marks from his mother, the nurturing guidance of his father, and the tragic loss that followed are all etched deeply into his being. His father’s death, a catalyst for Aoba’s descent into darkness, ignited a flame of vengeance that led him to exact retribution on those responsible. These events, coupled with the betrayal and manipulation he experienced in his youth, fractured his world, leaving him to seek solace in the destructive beauty of flames.
The Present: In the present, Aoba stands as a man of duality. By day, he is the custodian of knowledge, a librarian whose love for books is a fortress against the chaos of his emotions. By night, he dons the mantle of 'Bluefire,' where his pyromania becomes an outlet for the pain and instability that threaten to consume him. His acts of terrorism, though a cry for stability, are a dangerous dance with madness, a temporary balm for the wounds that time has yet to heal.
The Future: The future holds a precarious balance for Aoba. The crystal ball shimmers with the potential for healing or further descent into turmoil. His leadership within the Kumamoto Division offers a glimmer of hope, a chance to channel his tumultuous emotions into the art of rap. Yet, the threat of his mind’s complete fragmentation looms large. The path ahead is fraught with challenges, but also opportunities for redemption and the possibility of finding peace amidst the ashes of his past.
Kunio "Kurome" Chōten
"Chōten Kunio."
The Past: The crystal ball reveals a young Kunio, born into the opulence of Aoyama, yet feeling the suffocating grip of its expectations. His spirit rebels against the shallow values of the upper class, seeking authenticity among the streets and the arts. The ball shows the strain between Kunio and his brother Tomi, a bond tested and torn by the actions of their parents. His exile, though painful, becomes a liberation, leading him to the vibrant stages of Kumamoto and the companionship of Aoba and Natsume.
The Present: Chinami's crystal ball now focuses on Kunio's current life, where his vibrant persona as the 'smiling nobleman' captivates the hearts of Kumamoto. His love for the performing arts is not just a career but a declaration of his freedom from the shackles of Aoyama's elite. Yet, this same passion fuels his alter-ego 'Hollow,' a shadowy figure who seeks to dismantle the very foundations of the society he despises. His actions, though veiled in secrecy, are driven by a deep-seated need for retribution—a response to the betrayal and abandonment he felt at the hands of his family.
The Future: Peering into the future, the crystal ball reveals a path of both light and shadow for Kunio. His role in the Kumamoto Division alongside his closest allies, Aoba and Natsume, offers a chance for redemption and the creation of a legacy far removed from his birthright. Yet, the ball also shimmers with the darker hues of revenge, suggesting that his quest to settle scores with his family, especially his brother Tomi, may lead to a dramatic confrontation. The future is uncertain—will Kunio find solace in his art and companionship, or will the ghosts of his past compel him to a final act of defiance?
Natsume Kurome
"Kurome Natsume."
The Past: The crystal ball reveals a childhood marked by vivid dreams and premonitions, a gift that sets Natsume apart from an early age. His mother’s teachings of the tarot and his father’s encouragement of his artistic pursuits shape him into a multifaceted individual. Yet, this same gift becomes a burden when his mother succumbs to madness, an event that leaves a deep scar on Natsume’s heart. His journey through the world of art and his embrace of fashion and paganism are steps on a path to self-discovery, leading him to find solace in the expressive freedom of the performing arts.
The Present: In the present, Natsume stands as a beacon of beauty and mystery in Kumamoto, his store ‘The Pandora Box’ a haven for those seeking art and foresight. His flirtatious charm and enigmatic aura draw people to him, yet it’s his kindness and protective nature, especially towards Aoba and Kunio, that truly define him. His talent for reading people serves him well both as a fortune teller and an artist, his work reflecting the depth of his soul.
The Future: The future is a canvas awaiting Natsume's brush. The crystal ball shimmers with the promise of artistic triumphs and the deepening bonds of love and friendship. Yet, it also holds shadows of his past actions, the poisoner ‘Semiramis’ lurking within. His role in the Kumamoto Division, alongside Aoba and Kunio, is a chance for redemption and the creation of a legacy that transcends the pain of his history.
Strange Magic
As always, Chinami lays each of the 52 cards in her deck face down, preparing to let destiny decide which card will determine the true face of each member of this strange, yet intriguing division. Within a minute, three of the 52 cards are flipped face up, revealing them.
Aoba Yamamura - The Tower: For Aoba, ‘Bluefire,’ the card drawn is The Tower, symbolizing upheaval, the revelation of deeper truths, and the breaking down of existing structures. His life has been marked by dramatic changes and disruptions, much like the lightning that strikes The Tower. This card also represents a potential for enlightenment and liberation following a period of chaos, mirroring Aoba’s transformation through his trials.
Kunio Chōten - The Magician: The Magician is chosen for Kunio, representing resourcefulness, power, and the ability to manifest one’s desires. Kunio’s theatrical flair and his capacity to captivate audiences align with The Magician’s mastery over the elements. This card also signifies the convergence of the spiritual and material realms, reflecting Kunio’s journey from the constraints of his upbringing to the freedom of the stage.
Natsume Kurome - The Star: For Natsume, The Star is the perfect match, a symbol of hope, inspiration, and serenity. It reflects his role as a beacon of beauty and artistic talent in Kumamoto. The Star also represents healing and renewal, which resonates with Natsume’s recovery from his mother’s attack and his subsequent growth into a beloved fortune teller and artist.
The High Points: Chinami sees the good in each member’s life. For Aoba, the high point came after the darkest period of his life, when the loss of his father and the subsequent spiral into chaos nearly consumed him. His rebirth as ‘Bluefire’ marked a turning point, where he channeled his pain into a force for change, leading him to take the helm of Strange Magic and find a semblance of purpose amidst the turmoil.
Kunio’s moment of transformation occurred when he was exiled from Aoyama. This event, though initially a source of pain, became his liberation, freeing him from the constraints of his birthright. It allowed him to fully embrace his passion for the performing arts and eventually led him to find love and companionship with Natsume and Aoba, solidifying his role as a key member of Strange Magic.
And lastly, Natsume’s turning point was the tragic loss of his mother, which propelled him into a journey of self-discovery through art and fortune-telling. Opening ‘The Pandora Box’ and marrying Kunio were milestones that not only showcased his talents but also brought stability and love into his life, fortifying his place within Strange Magic.
The Team's Future: As a collective, Strange Magic’s destiny shifted when they came together to form their Division. Their individual high points converged, creating a synergy that amplified their talents and allowed them to support each other’s growth. The future holds the promise of their combined strengths leading them to new heights in the Division Rap Battle and beyond. Will their revolution come to fruition? Or is it doomed to be destroyed before it ever starts? Only time will tell...

Kira's Thoughts on Kumamoto Division
Tumblr media
Aoba Yamamura
"As an investigator, I’ve come to know Aoba Yamamura as the librarian, a role that demands a certain level of trust and responsibility. His position as a custodian of knowledge is one I respect, and his demeanor suggests a dedication to his work. However, if rumors of his alter-ego 'Bluefire' hold any truth, it casts a shadow over that respect. While I understand that trauma can lead individuals down dark paths, as 'Bluefire,' his actions pose a threat to public safety, and that I cannot overlook.
My approach to Aoba’s situation would be measured and within the confines of the law. It’s not about a personal vendetta to unmask him; it’s about ensuring justice is served and the community is protected. If he is indeed ‘Bluefire,’ my duty is clear: to gather evidence, build a case, and see that he answers for his actions in a court of law. The safety of our citizens is paramount, and I am committed to upholding that, no matter how complex the case may be."
Kunio "Kurome" Chōten
"Kunio Chōten, known as the ‘Smiling Nobleman,’ has certainly made a name for himself in Kumamoto’s theater scene. His stage magic and performances are commendable, and I can appreciate the hard work and talent that goes into such a profession. Despite his noble background, which I typically view with skepticism, Kunio’s decision to distance himself from Aoyama’s shallowness speaks to a strength of character.
As for his relationship with Aoba, it does raise questions. If Kunio is close to Aoba, who is rumored to be 'Bluefire,' it’s my responsibility to consider how this might affect his actions and loyalties. Trust isn’t given freely in my line of work; it’s earned through consistent, lawful behavior. While I have no personal grudge against Kunio, his association with Aoba means I must remain vigilant. His past may be sympathetic, but it’s the present that concerns me, and I’ll be keeping a close eye on both of them."
Natsume Kurome
"Natsume Kurome's artistic talent is undeniable, and his contributions to the art world are well-regarded. His personal history is tragic, and I can’t help but feel a pang of sympathy for the hardships he's endured. Yet, as an investigator, I must maintain a level of scrutiny. His connections to Kunio Chōten and Aoba Yamamura, individuals with complex pasts, mean I cannot fully let down my guard. It's a delicate balance between acknowledging the person and questioning the potential accomplice."
Strange Magic
"Strange Magic, as a team, presents a unique challenge from an investigative standpoint. Their talents and backgrounds are diverse, and they’ve garnered attention in Kumamoto for their contributions to the arts and their enigmatic personas. However, the potential link to 'Bluefire' casts a shadow of suspicion over the group. As an investigator, I cannot allow personal biases to cloud my judgment; each member must be evaluated on their own merits and actions.
While Aoba’s rumored alter-ego 'Bluefire' is concerning, I am not one to condemn without evidence. It’s crucial to afford each member the opportunity to explain their actions. If Strange Magic is involved in any criminal activities, they will be held accountable, but only after a thorough investigation. They are not criminals in my eyes until proven otherwise. My approach is always to seek the truth, ensuring that justice is served fairly and impartially."

Taria's Thoughts on Kumamoto Division
Tumblr media
Aoba Yamamura
"Aoba, the librarian by day and 'Bluefire' by night? Gotta say, I'm impressed. It's not every day you find someone who can handle books and bombs with the same finesse. We've never officially met, but I've heard whispers about his nighttime escapades. And if he's really out there giving the upper crust a run for their money, then he's alright in my book. We might both wear masks, but it seems we're dancing to the same tune—just on different rooftops. Stick it to 'em, 'Bluefire.'"
Kunio "Kurome" Chōten
"Kunio Chōten, the 'Smiling Nobleman' turned actor and magician, huh? I'll admit, the first thing that caught my eye concerning this guy was his last name, which reminded me of that pretentious prick from that neighborhood of other rich pricks. To be honest, I hadn't heard of that family having another kid, but I guess they probably made his name 'disappear' from the family records or something. Wouldn't be the first time I've seen that happen.
You'd think I'd have nothing but sneers for a guy who used to rub elbows with the kind of people I can’t stand. But here's the twist—I've got a bit of respect for him. The guy got kicked out and turned his back on all that noble nonsense. That takes guts. And anyone who can put on a show that dazzles and distracts, well, that's an art in itself.
Sure, he's got that noble blood, and part of me wants to shake him down just for the thrill of it. But I haven't. Why? Because he's not flaunting it or looking down on the rest of us. He's out there, making a name for himself without riding on his family's coattails. That's something I can get behind. So, for now, he's safe from my mischief. But if he ever starts acting high and mighty, well… let's just say I've got a few tricks of my own up my sleeve that'll remind him where he stands."
Natsume Kurome
"Natsume Kurome, the artist and fortune teller with a side of poison, eh? His work's got flair—I'll give him that. Paintings that can make you stop and stare, and poisons that'll send a shiver down your spine. It's not every day you meet someone who can mix beauty and danger quite like that. Marrying a former nobleman? Now that’s a plot twist I didn't see coming. But hey, love's love, and if they're happy, who am I to judge?
As for his tarot cards and fortune-telling... Can't say I'm thrilled about it—it's a sore spot, considering what happened with Chinami. But Natsume's not Chinami, and he's not spouting off about destiny or whatever. He's got his art, his shop, and he seems to keep it all separate from the family drama. So, I'll let it slide. Doesn’t mean I'm buying into it, but if it works for him and he's not using it to mess with people's heads, then who am I to judge? We've all got our ways of coping, and if his is flipping cards and painting pictures, then so be it.
As for his mom… yeah, that's rough. Nobody should go through that kind of nightmare. I've got a soft spot for family drama—it hits way too close to home. So, I guess you could say I feel for the guy. And no, I haven't tried to lift anything from his shop. 'The Pandora Box' is off-limits. I respect the craft too much. And besides, I’m not looking to make enemies with someone who knows his way around a poison bottle."
Strange Magic
"Strange Magic, huh? They're like a band straight out of some underground fairy tale—each with their own quirks and shadows. Aoba's got his fire, Kunio's got his charm, and Natsume's got his art. They're a mixed bag, but together, they've got something special. It's not every day you see a team that’s part showbiz, part mystery, and part rebellion.
Do I like them? Well, they're stirring the pot, and I can respect that. They're not just sitting around complaining about the world—they're out there making waves. Kunio being a former noble? I've got my eye on him, but he seems to have ditched the silver spoon act, so we're cool, for now.
As for Kira's suspicions, let her do her job. I've got my own way of handling things, and if Strange Magic steps out of line, they'll answer to me in their own way. But for now, they're just another crew trying to make a mark. And who knows, maybe we'll cross paths when the spotlight hits just right."
