OH FORGOT TO SAY yeah so today was my last tutoring session helping this girl in the year below with her Spanish
and SHE GOT ME A THANK-YOU CARD and that made me smile and it has a lot of happy-looking bees on it and a lovely bee pun inside and I just can't stop smiling because that was just the loveliest thing ever and yellow is such a lovely happy colour and I really hope the girl gets top marks in her Spanish because she deserves it

The problem I have with yourfaveisproblematic is the way it addresses issues. Instead of saying something like 'sexism is still a huge societal issue and we can't ignore it' then giving examples of celebrities being sexist,聽it shames the celebrities themselves for a list of problems. This leads people to mistake the problem for being the people themselves and not their attitudes or past mistakes.
If you say a person is wrong rather than what they do, you distract from the issue at hand.
Of course, this can be seen across a lot of social justice blogs, and it is perhaps hypocritical of me to explain the matter in this format, but the point still stands; we're losing focus of the causes of discrimination and the fact that it is still a huge problem by choosing to address these issues by exposing the behaviour and attitudes of specific persons.

speaking card for German was absolutely heavenly, very straightforward, but I think I did terribly in the cultural topics
have to remind myself that I can still get an A* with a high C in the speaking exam if I get 100% in the written exam so trying to stay calm

OK, true, but I think the meaning interpreted from a symbol has more significance than that expressed by the person who displays it. After all, symbols are messages, and the original intentions of a message barely mean anything when contrasted with others' interpretations.
also I just want to address how uncomfortable I am with the English flag
the Union Flag鈥檚 great
but I can only associate the cross of St George with right wing extremists like the EDL and angry football fans and riots so when I see England flags outside other people鈥檚 homes I feel really uneasy
