Gideon used to have very long hair before he escaped capture, probably mid-back. He got it cut after meeting Kremy. Kremy then helped him take care of it.

This is a true fact.

His hair is bound to be rough, whether it was allowed to grow or not. Though, if he grew his hair out now he'd look luxurious.

Still, his hair likely would have needed the chop, there was probably lots of matting and the like from, you know, not being able to shower or brush his hair for years.

But now its nice and healthy! Mostly because Kremy would probably get mad at him "wasting his hair potential" otherwise /hj

Gideon's vision is fucked up.

I'm no doctor, but I'm pretty sure staying in a mostly dark room, probably being his only light source, filled with steam and smoke ruined parts of his eyes.

Someone please take him to the eye doctor. Maybe get him some long term glasses aside from the tiny spectacles. At the very least maybe some eye drops. I can't imagine how dry his poor eyes are.

Twig was socially outcast from the rest of the creatures in her home town because she’s on the spectrum. She was always too weird for the rest of her town, and got bullied a lot because of it. That’s why when she left her town for her own mental health, she decided to make the inn, so that other weirdos who got pushed away like her have a place to stay, even if it’s just for the night.

Kremy gets the silicon busts pierced and then makes fun of everyone else for "being such wimps about it. It was painless!"

To be fair if he did get a real piercing, since I'm a "Kremy has chronic pain and also is autistic" truther he probably just goes "ow" and then deals with it fine. Hashtag relatable (I have multiple tattoos but nothing compares to my back pain or my old dysmenorrhea).

Gideon probably enjoys decorating himself, having a little control over what his body looks like. Without the battle adrenaline though he might shed a tear or two. There's no shame in that no matter how many times Gricko calls him a little bitch.

Frost is a freak as we know so I wouldn't be surprised.

Gricko was in a band. Enough said. He doesn't always have piercings on but he could be decked out if he wants to. (He also has a bunch of tattoos that he hates, and one of Hootsie's baby paw that he cherishes)

Gideon’s Pa knew how to knit and sew (essential skills on a farm in my opinion and afaik he was the only adult there). Gid tried to learn from him, but he was never really good at it as a kid. Of course, the first time Kremy’s suit needed a seem repaired, Gid was at least good enough for them to wait to get to the next town to find a real tailor. (Not that Kremy ever did, he loves that suit jacket and it’s visible mending even if he doesn’t let others see it.)

Oh definitely a significant portion. Some of it is under the guise of detailing his outfits in case they needed a fix, but a lot of it is just silly doodles and close ups. For motivation of course!! A little reminder Kremy, to make him get back to work (he is going to draw more Kremys (Kremies? Kremi?))

Gideon keeps a journal, sort of. It's filled to the brim with diagrams and sketches mostly, with notes in-between. Occasionally he'll write about something that's bothering him, but it's usually about something breaking down rather than him doing any sort of reflection. Though there is the odd page where he attempted to write some feelings down and just gave up.

Sometimes there are tiny doodles of him and his friends included in the margins and tiny spaces in between the important looking machinery.

Gideon's voice before the train used to be different, but all that smoke from it made his voice rougher and raspier.

Also his eyesight used to be slightly better, they get easily agitated, especially by harsh light.

He gets cramps like everywhere almost all the time. It's rare that he isn't in pain at least a little at all time (chronic illness woohoo/sarc).

He theoretically should take shit ton off supplements because skipping a few too many meals can cause his body to panic mode and collapse on him, but he refused to, and just sometimes complains about not seeing anything for a minute after standing up.

He gets phantom pain a lot. And if he doesn't wear his manacles for long he starts getting that uncomfortable feeling of something on his arms missing (like when you wear a watch all the time and take them off for a short while and get the phantom feeling of them missing)

Gideon sometimes has balance issues, especially if sleepier

And finally, he gets a bit stronger without his manacles (as in being able to lift more, sometimes his a bit harder in a way) so it's always a russian roulette with his strength when he has the manacles off, broke Gricko's arm once probably while jokingly hitting him "lightly" while not having manacles

These all make a lot of sense. 10 years sitting in the same position, inhaling smoke because there's hardly any ventilation, being fed less but worked more, it had to take its toll.

Some things have maybe lessened in intensity after his escape, he's certainly not getting worse at least, but none of it is truly getting scrubbed off. Gideon is an entirely different person now, and that fucking sucks. The pain and the struggles never go away. But each day is a little bit easier, and though he isn't the same he is still himself. Thats good enough.

The reason why Gricko says some words weirdly is because his native tongue is Goblin. Not common and he still struggles with it sometimes.

He learned a lot of it from books and major images. His mum and uncle Glorbo both speak very little common. Mostly some very basic phrases "Hello, my name is" "Where is the bathroom?" "I don't speak Common." "Sorry.". They didn't speak it to Gricko as a kid.
