Info/Warnings: not many warnings, this is v wholesome!!! reader is fem !

Mikan Tsumiki:

firstly she would panic so badly after finding out you had a nightmare because she would automatically assume it was her fault, immediately scrambling to apologize to you !

“eeeeaaaahhhh!! i-i’m s-s-sorry f-for m-making y-you have a n-n-nightmare!! y-you m-must have dreamt about m-my u-unsightly face!! p-please f-forgive me, my b-beloved!! ahhhhh!!! i-i’m s-sorry for calling y-you my beloved w-without asking permission!! it p-probably m-m-made your nightmare w-worse!! i-i ruined m-my g-girlfriend’s n-night by b-being so hideous”

she panics so bad at first because she doesn’t want you to leave!!! if you’re unhappy and having nightmares it must be her fault !!!

you quickly tell her that your nightmares have nothing to do with her, reminding her that you love her and want to be close to her to feel better ! you look into her eyes and tell her, earnestly, that you having nightmares isn’t her fault. you want to be with her, knowing that her presence would comfort you

you’re still on edge, and shaking slightly from the fear your dreams gave you. it was difficult for you to force out the words to reassure her that she’s not at fault, only wanting comfort from your girlfriend

whimpering, she quickly pulls you into a tight hug, “m-my beloved! i p-promise i-i-i’ll n-never leave you!!”

the two of you sit together in a warm embrace, with mikan whispering and stuttering comforts into your ear

she rubs your back in soothing motions, trying so desperately to relieve your anxiety, with moonlight from the night sky leaking in through your open window

“p-please t-try to breathe deeply! it c-can help y-you r-relax and calm d-down after panicking !!”

once you’re finally able to feel calmer, in part to her touch, the two of you pull away from eachother’s arms

instead she grabs your hands, kissing your fingertips before looking up to check if what she did was okay.

she stares at you for a moment before you see a dark blush rise on her cheeks and a small smile start to form. without realizing it, she whispers “i-i think sh-she feels better now... she l-looks so p-pretty in the m-moonlight”

giggling, you whisper to her in response

“you look even prettier.

and thank you for helping me, my love”

Akane Owari:

the second you wake her up, telling her that you’re scared she IMMEDIATELY says “who the hell do i havta beat up for makin you scared ?!!!!”

any time you feel scared her brain immediately goes GOTTA PROTECT MY LADY MY GIRL MY BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you tell her she doesn’t need to beat anyone up, you simply had a nightmare

and in an instant she’s laughing and gripping you tight, going “oh that’s it? well no problem babe, i’ll stay up with you till you dont feel scared anymore”

so she does! she sits with you in her arms, the covers wrapped around the two of you.

and she’s grinning super wide, listening to you tell her about what happened in your nightmare

“don’t sweat it baby, because if you ever feel scared i’ll be right there to protect ya!”

it’s so simple for her to calm you down, all she does is remind you that she will always be with you, right there to protect you from any scary monsters

one moment you’re shaking in fear, within the next second she’s got her arms around you, her fingers tangled in your hair, and kisses peppering all over your face

and she swears she won’t stop kissing your face until you give her a smile !!!!!

how could you be scared if you have your big strong girlfriend their to protect you and make you smile ??

the second you start to grin she’s got the widest smile, her lil puppy brain is just goin WOWOWOWOW GF SO PRETTY WHEN SHE SMILE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

she can hardly contain herself when you giggle at her, because she just looks so dumbfounded and happy in that moment

and you feel so safe in her arms

because you know she’ll beat up your nightmares if she has to !

Peko Pekoyama:

for most of the time peko is comforting you, it’s in silence

i think she would comfort you moreso through soft and tender touches, as opposed to words

when she sees you shaking and stuttering out that you had a nightmare, she silences you by pulling you into a hug.

she rubs your back gently, kissing your shoulder. the only words either of you speak are soft whispers and hums. she hums into your neck as your breathing instantly slows in her hold. she whispers “it’s okay, everything is okay, because i am here.”

peko doesn’t need to comfort you using long and grand speeches, all she needs is to hold you close. and that’s enough

it’s enough for the two of you to be together, her hands looped around your waist with you practically on her lap in bed

her gentle yet firm touch is enough for you to feel safer and calmer

her fingertips, soft but calloused from her training and swordsmanship, grazing up and down your spine. her breath is hot against your ear, and it makes you shiver for a moment before leaning deeper into her embrace

the safety you feel is enough to make your fear from your nightmares slip away, if only for just a moment

neither of you speak, you just clutch her tighter

all you hear is her hushed whispers, the sound of her heartbeat, the rustling of your bedsheets as you cuddle closer together, the sounds coming from the outside world through your window

it’s just the two of you together in the dark

and that’s enough
