I lost a great amount of respect from ankle beez when I read it. This just proves su critical’s point that he’s a “stan”.

There was an era in my time where I indeed felt my reality was ruined after having everything bad that I’ve known and happening to me was truly cascading; 2017 was a horrible year for me folks. I indeed felt helpless with intrusive thoughts being more prominent in my life than ever. I wasn’t the self-harm kind but I surely wasn’t the most stable around people, including my family. Know what I didn’t do though, out of everything, I didn’t attempt murder.

That really is what tilted me about SU: Future’s handling of mental health and why chucklenuts like you think you get it but fail to grasp why some people weren’t as on board with how they handled the subject. Then again, chucklenuts will try to excuse that dealing with trauma isn’t universal only to shut out those that legitimately take issue cuz that’ll make their ego soft.

As someone that mentally was unwell, seeing the writers actively take the path of just having your character nearly, sporadically, commit MURDER TWO* only to then have him become a wildin’ creature does nothing, if not disgust me. It is disgusting when you talk about PTSD one minute and have your main character be socially dangerous the next. You’d feel sorry for him, sure, but I gotta say nearly killing people and almost going sicko mode on his town is not something we should just hand wave like what they did. What does that tell me, somebody that still has unresolved feelings, stress, and severe trust issues? That I’m still bound to snap and that’s not too bad an issue as long as I know there are people who love me? I can cause as much havoc as Steven, possibly worse, and that’s okay because I know I’m loved? Becoming a literal monster is just coping differently, doesn’t need to be address anymore than “an incident”? And don’t try to justify it by saying it was necessary for his downward spiral. Having to think, see, and remember death before my own eyes in real life, there could’ve/should’ve been a better way to make Steven hit rock bottom without putting other’s lives on the line. It wasn’t compelling or resonating as well to see him become a witless creature after saying he could get away with anything, it felt jarringly hallow and teeth gritting sadistic to think this was acceptable. It took him turning into a literal creature to finally go to therapy or say a throwaway line about therapy in the show’s case? Are you kidding me? And we can say, “your experiences aren’t universal” which is true. At the same time, you’re not the boss of how I feel and we don’t have to care about each other’s feelings. Don’t use this as an excuse for when someone has issues with the writing because that doesn’t imply compromise for something that can.

I ain’t speaking for everyone with mental issues, not saying this show didn’t help people or didn’t deserve to, but I’m sick of people going “but the themes” only to close their eyes when others have an issue with what’s actually presented. This is the type of ignorance that was thrown in my face and nowadays makes me wanna kick a man’s teeth in. The ignorance of the practicality in favor what’s an ideal way of seeing it. The psychological repercussions only go so far as acknowledgement, overshadowed with Steven getting increasingly dangerous and everyone wanting to be there for him only to be pushed off until the climax where everyone says they want to be there for him. Fucking brilliant use of the themes. We couldn’t have confronted Steven’s demons any other way. And we couldn’t see Steven actually be with a therapist, getting the help he deserves, what would that be, sensible? Wreck-It Ralph actually has its lead go to a support group at the beginning and end of the film. Wreck-It Ralph had a more resonating through line for its character than Steven Universe Future.

So yeah, good job sucking the show’s dick as you do. I’m just gonna go out on a limb and say you couldn’t care enough to actually explain your side and just threw this out as a gotcha to make yourself feel like a good person for watching this yee-yee ass teens cartoon of yours.

I recently read someone state, with zero fucking evidence whatsoever, that intelligence is an ableist invention and implied that every use of those insults were targeted at mentally disabled people. They were also a communist, but that’s another story.

I saw a big awesome post on an unpopular opinions blog that I’ll be reblogging soon, but first I just want to quote part of it because it addresses a gripe I’ve had lately, and I hope the person who submitted it doesn’t mind me quoting them.

“Stupid”, “moron” and “idiot” are not “ableist slurs”. Mental retardation and mental illness isn’t stupidity. Learning disabilities aren’t stupidity. “Stupidity” means low intelligence and understanding. They can be components of disabilities, but are not in and of themselves disabilities. Asserting that anyone with mental illness or retardation is stupid is itself ableist. When you suggest that someone calling you stupid is being ableist, you’re deflecting criticism of your dumbass comments so that you don’t have to address how dumb the shit you just said actually was. We all know it, and you’re not fooling anyone but yourself.

Now, I’m sure you’ve all heard of the capitol storming, and after watching videos of the storming and reading into both sides... I have no real opinion(I know what you’re gonna say. The pipe bombs and guns were overkill, but so were the Molotov Cocktails, stabbings, and shootings from the bad half of BLM. Luckily only 4 people got killed in the raid, which is an amazingly low number, but it’s still upsetting that they did die). Both sides have extremists, and America’s suffered worse(if you know anyone who survived 9/11, give ‘em a big hug, okay?). But A lot of people were rejoicing the fact that someone died during the raid, for the crime of being a Trump supporter, and trying to fight a barricade.

I first heard of this when I found out that Ginger was in support of this, Heavily. Quote “‘She Died.’ Good” Unquote. And Lily being Lily reblogged it for all to see. Being an egalitarian, I find this Extremely disgusting of them to do. Sympathy is Not required if you believe what they did was amoral, but you should Never feel genuine happiness about someone’s death because, they’re still human. Yet despite that, Ginger, and a whole bunch of Lily fans proved that they have no respect for anyone but themselves, and started dehumanizing me, saying my mere existence is a mistake

And seeing as how I was labeled as alt right way back when, just because I’m an egalitarian who wants the best for both gays and straights, that says a Lot about Lily.

But the worst part of it is that Lily’s white knights are treating Me as a monster because I think Lily should be in jail, and put in solitary confinement for how she is.

So it’s fine for you guys to subtly tell me to Kill myself, but it’s not cool of me to say that she should be locked up? There’s even a point where Ginger got as Conspiracy theorist as the people who claim Lily isn’t Trans and she just full on accused me of being a minion of Josh, carrying out abuse.
