Scalability – Creating a single portal for around 945 separate data files from internal and customer systems using the current BI tool would require over 6 months to complete. The earlier tool was used for internal purposes and scaling the solution to such a large population while keeping the costs optimum was a major challenge

Solution:
The company was looking to protect and increase its market share by differentiating its core services and was seeking a resource to manage and drive their online travel program capabilities forward. Amex GBT decided to make a strategic investment in creating smart analytics around their booking software.

We integrated our solution with their OMS, CRM, Google Analytics, Salesforce, and inventory management system. The data was modeled in such a way that it could be fed into Machine Learning algorithms; so that we can leverage this easily in the future.

The customer had visibility into their data from day 1, which is something they had been wanting for some time. In addition to this, they were able to build more reports, dashboards, and charts to understand and interpret the data. A global e-commerce platform, EMEA, wanted to expand its product recommendation capabilities across its many product verticals. The retailer spent 12‑18 months aggregating all customer data across verticals to create a single view of customers’ browsing and purchasing patterns. The retailer ran A/B tests on the customer data and developed an algorithm to drive continuous improvement in recommendation accuracy. We’re primarily seeing this sort of omni-channel journey orchestration possible in customer data platforms (CDPs) and modern marketing automation tools.
Marketing automation tools like Braze and Salesforce Marketing Cloud allow marketers to create journeys based on a variety of events such as API triggers, time-based triggers, data changes and more. These journeys can then span multiple days and dynamically adapt messaging based on customer data being fed into the system during the journey lifespan. Resiliency doesn’t mean having a good DR strategy during these uncertain times. In fact, its much broader than that. It’s about an organization’s ability to withstand a major shock and come out of it with core capabilities intact. Typically the ability to continue operations, maintain baseline and maintain talent are the keys for organizations to emerge from any major disruption. Furthermore, when a shock occurs, financial survival instincts take over and all 3 points discussed above become afterthoughts, especially talent.
