Does anyone know any fanfics similar to this one? I see a lot of cap hate on AO3 where Tony is treated like an absolute angel, and while I love Tony, I really just cannot stand it. They are both flawed, but a lot of people treat Steve like he is the devil or something. I honestly don't see what he did wrong in civil war. (Please don't fight about that in this thread, it's just an opinion.).

And I cannot find anything quite like it. I wanted to ask if somebody could perhaps recommend some fics where Steve is hurt by Tony and breaks down? Sort of just...self-destructs? Any pairing works for me. I prefer longer fics but any length is fine.

I know this may sound a little hypocritical, but I'm not looking to make Tony seem evil either. When they meet, Steve and Tony hate each other. It's natural. Even in the fanfic I mentioned Tony is not turned into an uncaring brute or anything like how a lot of people characterize Steve. I'm just looking for something where that hatred between Steve and Tony hurts Steve. After all, he did wake up in a world where everyone he's ever loved died, and the son of one of those people loathes him. I would break down too.
