i find it so interesting how differently mxtx fans treat the main characters. most people love xie lian and acknowledge his flaws and how they make him even more interesting and complex all while having an "actually he did nothing wrong ever" mentality as a joke. the chaos starts when you start the top bottom twink discourse. wei wuxian fans will murder you if you dare to imply he is not a perfect flawless person and start bombarding you with "did you even understand the story?". they love the character but in their eyes he can do no wrong. shen yuan fans are on a whole different breed. and i say that because most of them want to breed shen yuan. i have never seen a hornier fanbase and tbh it's fantastic, keep doing whatever it is you're doing. they'll write essays on his unreliable narration and confusion towards his own thoughts and feelings all while looking at porn of his. multitasking icons
