I don’t think I can control who interacts with me or my work (in the sense that I try to tag appropriately so people can avoid if they want to; and obviously I would comply with NSFW legal stuff if I ever posted that kind of content, which I don’t). Nor is it realistic for me to conduct a thorough background check on people who interact with me / my work on the internet where anonymity is so easy.

So don’t worry about boundaries with me, the onus is on me to manage my own eyeballs haha.

Things I try to avoid personally are inc€st, PDF-lia, animal cruelty, unironic racism / classicism / sexism etc. and probably a heap of other stuff. I mute / block tags and key words and stuff.

Out of curiosity, do Connor and Felicia suspect anything with Vander? I remember in an earlier chapter they told him off and Con threw coffee over him for losing his temper, and I'm reading this latest chapter like damn where's Con to throw some coffee over Vander when you need him 😭

I’m honoured anon 🥺 and yes, they do — and Connell’s coffee scene wasn’t the first like that. Silco tries to keep it from them as much as possible because Felicia does not handle any DV / violence well due to backstory. Sil goes to great lengths to hide any suggestion.

After Varrad / Chekov’s letter events, I think it becomes harder and harder to pretend everything is fine :( Felicia would have had a hard convo with each of them in the later chapters. I still feel unsure about not fitting that in on screen :<

It’s difficult for her because she dissociates a lot when confronted with it (due to trauma) 😭

The modern AU of devotions still has plot / angst but I think overall it’s a lot less bleak than the canonical situation. And the babies have kindergarten-stakes drama hehe. Maybe we need both in parallel like a sauna where you get BAKED but then jump in the cold pool after / before / repeat…

Yes, this is his first marriage.

He fell head over heels @ the bakery and kept going back to buy bigger and bigger orders just to talk to Ximena for longer. The forge break room was extremely stocked for a while with freebies.

He and baby Jayce “clicked” in that they’re both nerd-y excitable types, and I think he found Jayce’s cleverness v charming.

I think Ned would have proposed much earlier except Ximena wanted to observe and collect data (aka make sure he would last / is the one for her son / doesn’t want someone to give jayce more abandonment issues).

Yes, Jayce’s biological dad was awful and violent. The whole backstory there is very uh. Dubiously consented. :( Herrera is Ximena’s maiden name.

Ned has an older sister who ran off with an Ionian merchant 😂 they have two kids who we briefly meet via Jayce’s letter. Grandpa and Grandma Talis are THRILLED to have Ximena and Jayce because they’re both in Piltover and not overseas lmao. Also Jayce is grandpa talis’ absolute favourite because grandpa is a geology / mineralogy nerd and has a huge collection that he can now share with his grandson.

I also have grandma and grandpa talis’ love story (like maybe 40K worth) HAHAH.

Not sure if this was the intended angle, but Silco telling Vander not to leave marks on his face was such a heartbreaking sentiment considering what happens to his eye.

I really enjoyed chapter 12, the mix of tension with the family drama and the gentleness between the kids was such a good bittersweet blend. Also Anton's pov was so good, it's so interesting to see how someone on the outside views the dynamics of the Zaun family. Very excited to see how things continue!! -🦖

I could not resist 😭🫶🏽 foreshadowing is such a garnish.

In that scene, Silco’s biggest concern is that whatever happens upset Viktor, hence it’s not “don’t hit me” but “do whatever you think is required but not where Viktor can see” 🥲 throughout canon Silco has such little disregard for his own health / happiness / worth. I think he’s also very resigned here because he feels that he deserves Vander’s anger for withholding information. 🙃
