i assume you mean this post, though i'm not the original poster.

it contrasts screenshots from two different vip intro sequences, one from season 1 and the other from our most recent season 2 episode: the two mirror each other, both showing the host fussing over different paintings on the walls of their set. in the first, the paintings are abstract; the season 2 set, however, includes portraits of themself.

this is a striking contrast to me because it highlights the differences between their characterization between seasons: in season 2, they're more self-absorbed, more desperate, and generally... worse. they've just plain gotten worse, as oli said in his original tags on the post. the same thing is reflected in their face, at least to my brain-poisoned eyes -- this is why i edited the images in the way i did, so it's easier to swap back and forth and look at changes in their face. they look colder and more gaunt in the season 2 version. they're even in shadow (though that's likely a consequence of the set's lighting sources moving around more than an intentional thematic change).

this post from when the season first started airing comes to mind, if you're looking for more "the fan community wails over the host getting Worse between seasons" content.

i also asked oli (@moonpleaser), the actual op, if they had anything to add and they mentioned the idea that the host might not be in a time loop in the literal sense, but they're certainly in a loop. they're trapped here, on this set, in this role. they're still right where they were last season -- just more aware of their cage, and with their home life now crumbling beyond repair.

do you think bianca ever looks at vic interviewing someone and thinks "that cant be the person i fell in love with. theyre too stiff and their eyes are too cold and their smile is too lifeless. the vic that i know has to be somewhere else and this is some sort of imposter." but then they look at her and get that look and they look exactly the same and entirely different all at the same time and bianca knows shes just the least lucky person in the entire world. that the person she loved turned into this thing and theres no getting them back.
