For REASONS, I’m starting my tumblr journey from scratch under a new account...but with my old url cuz I’ve been oywiththewaywardtardis for too long to be anyone else comfortably. Anyone who would like to follow me can do so over there. This is an effort to start tumblr again WITH A FERVOR, but we all know how unreliable i can be so I don’t blame anyone for not bothering to follow at this point. I shall earn you all back through ACTION! Or not. No hard feelings either way.

This blog is going to stick around as an archive because I am far too sentimental to throw away all those tumblr memories. I’m just hoping that if i start from square one, it’ll eliminate all this self-imposed pressure to be back 100000% every time i try that compounds every time i fail.

Making the Boy watch the 100 - I'd forgotten how amazing this show is and a year worth of FEELS are trying to burst out of my chest. AHHHHHHHHH.

Day Two:

And I am once again 20 minutes early for my shift! (Yesterday's stats are 5 minutes early in the morning, then like 30 minutes when I had to come back for my actual shift.) Do y'all have any idea how huge that is? I AM THAT OBNOXIOUS CHRONICALLY LATE PERSON WHO HAS NEVER CONSISTENTLY BEEN ON TIME TO ANYTHING IN MY GODDAMN LIFE. it's too soon to start hoping, I know...but maybe something's starting to change? Someone remind me to come post later about my very mixed feelings towards my return to the land of Starbucks. Okay? Okay.

Fun first day of work awkwardness: having a period mishap bad enough that I have to run home and change clothes. ARGHHHHH

it’s great bc when you first watch brooklyn nine nine you think it’s a funny sitcom about new york cops

and instead you get some of the best racial representation in any tv show, an accurate depiction of how lgbt people and poc are treated by the police force AND how the intersectionality between the two works 

the person holding arguably the most power in the show is a black man who’s openly gay but also non stereotypical

the person holding the second most power is also a black man who’s large and muscular but has a family he prioritises above all else and he’s so so gentle with his little daughters it’s amazing

it also depicts how uncomfortable and unhealthy the ‘guy has a complete infatuation for a woman who’s not interested’ dynamic is, and instead of making her realise she’s ‘wrong’ and fall for him, he instead gets over her and they actually become good friends

and the inevitable ‘will they, won’t they’ relationship develops naturally and they don’t both develop feelings for each other at the same time, and when jake realises that amy is dating another guy he’s okay with it because he knows it’s not his place to ruin that for his own feelings
