Been watching Haunting of Bly Manor. Absolutely obsessed with the concept of someone who’s such a stubborn, controlling force of nature that they effectively refuse the call of the great beyond after death and refuse to move on and let the living go about their business in peace, simply through sheer force of will.

Ozai died at some point, but he didn’t leave. Why would he? He’s the Fire Lord, after all, no matter what history says about him. As time passes and his own perception and memories of his mortal life twist and fade, he starts to look more and more…wrong. Even if he tries to hide it sometimes, it’s an act that drops quickly.

Can I just say that the atla animators were absolutely genius when it came to family resemblances?? At first, I thought Azula looked like Ursa, but then I saw pictures of her without makeup, and she's basically ozai's twin??

Overall they emphasized her sharp features so much to the point I literally only see ozai when I look at azula.

The expressions, the frown lines, the lips, the hairline?

Like it's actually crazy how accurately they got the characters to look different but similar at the same time? They both have the same sharp edge to their eyes aswell
