Gender is demonstrated in public zones that promote visibility and interaction between people. Making physical distance and confusion create rumours of many sorts. Be it the secluded gharanaas of transgenders or hidden parties or clubs of gay community, our world still doesn't understand the balance of these two worlds and majorly accepted world.
LGBT clubs have existed in our past and present. Be it the molly houses or gay clubs, what changed was how they were portrayed through their building, areas, landmarks, where they were situated etc.
Do the LGBT specific clubs promote the cause and hear their voice giving them a space to open up, and express their liberation. Or does the hidden secret passageways and alleys where these clubs exist showcase our societal distaste of the community. Is giving someone a space or room acceptable, is that all we can give to a whole community of our near and dear ones. Or should the details of that room vary and mean something. where it is, who is allowed, are people safe in it. Accepting a whole community means giving them whatever they deserves equitably and not equally.
