Step 1 â Choose your QR Code type
Ok, so what can I do with QR Codes?

Share any file â image, video, sound, PDF
You can always change it later
Whichever one you choose though, we definitely recommend you always go for Dynamic QR Codes. This gives you a ton of benefits and features! The main benefit is that if you change your mind, you can always change the contents of your QR Code later.
Letâs say you already printed your QR Codes. The initial idea was for people to visit your website, but now you thought that it would be a lot more better if they landed on your instagram page or you want to put them in an email funnel. Well no problem! With the Pageloot Online QR Code Generator you can do just all that and even more.
The second big benefit is that you can track all the people who scan your QR Code. You can see an instant overview of who scanned your codes, where and when.
As an extra bonus, Pageloot lets you add a Facebook Pixel or Google tracking code. This allows you to create lookalike audiences, retarget visitors. Essentially you can digitalize your analog physical customers. Or create a new target segment based on their characteristics. How powerful is that?
Step 2 â Enter your content
Now the next step is the most important one. You want to enter your your content, depending on the QR Code type that you chose from step 1. For example, if you chose a Website QR Code type, you want to enter the URL of your website and also a unique name for the code. The name is just for your reference, so it will be easier to find later once you are a QR Code pro and have hundreds of codes.
This is also one of the easiest and quickest steps of the 5. So as it is quite straightforward, we probably donât need to stop here too much.
Step 3 â Get that unique brand look
Letâs be honest, the default pixelated QR Codes are just, well⌠boring and ugly. All your custom QR codes created with Pageloot can match your brand image to increase CTA and drive more customer engagement. This way the QR Code feels like an integral part of your brandâs message and connects with the customer seamlessly, boosting conversions and ROI.
Add custom QR Code frames, shapes, gradients, logos for your brand â just about anything you can imagine. The best part is you donât even need to hire a designer. If you are not very skilled in designing things, no need to worry â we have a set of ready made templates for you to choose from!
Step 4 â Test your QR Code
So now we should blast that QR Code everywhere right? Well, itâs better to be safe than sorry, so letâs just test your QR Code first. Feel free to use your smartphone, it should have an integrated QR Code scanner built into the camera app.
Alternatively, if you want to get more details and verify that everything is working properly, we can use a free QR Code reader for this task. This will tell us exactly if everything is working and performing the way it should.
Step 5 â Track your success
Well alright, alright, alright. Now is the time to launch!
Before printing your QR Code, make sure you download it in vector format, so regardless of the size of the print, it will always be sharp. Vector format (.svg, .pdf and .eps) are infinitely sharp in size, so you could even print this on a huge skyscraper building wall if you decided to.
Now that the QR Codes are out there and people are scanning them, it would be great to know how they are performing, right? The Pageloot QR Code generator and scanner tools offer you just that.
Not only can you see when your QR Code was scanned, but you can also see from where, what browser they were using and a lot of other really interesting details that can help you make better decisions with your marketing campaigns.
If you need to create QR Codes online, be sure to check out this Free QR Code Generator.

5 Easy Hacks to Boost Marketing â The Online QR Code Generator
Looking for shortcuts and easy hacks to crush your marketing goals this year?
If you are serious about marketing your product and making sales, then you should look into QR Codes to keep up with the times. This year, all the big brands are taking advantage of these 5 simple hacks you need to know about.
What is this one big secret with the Online QR Code Generator that has led to their success?
Clever product marketing with QR Codes
Back in the day, QR Codes were used for tracking product inventory as an upgrade to the even older barcodes. They can conatin quite a bit of information. Although the initial use was tracking products, nowadays there are so many more opportunities. Everybody is using them in marketing & sales. Letâs dive in to see how the experts are doing it.
#1 Build a new target group with QR Codes
You want to start focusing on Dynamic QR Codes. There are so many benefits to these types of codes. Please avoid plain old static QR Codes like the plague. Your bank account will thank you later.
The first and main one is that you can always edit your content later. Maybe you already printed out all your ads, but now you have a new landing page. How much would that cost to replace?
Secondly â this trick is mostly used by the most successful online marketers. Did you know you can actually retarget and create lookalike audiences from physical leads? All you need for this is to get them to an online page you control and Although not many offer this, only the best QR Code generator will allow you to add a Facebook pixel and Google Analytics tags.
This last one is so powerful, yet not too many entrepreneurs or businesses are taking advantage of this clever hack.
#2 Use a custom QR design to drive conversions
Please stop using the black on white QR Codes! We are not living in 1994 (yes, QR Codes were already available then).
It is always sad to see a nice brand with good design that just slaps an ugly boxy QR Code on their products that doesnât match at all. Nowadays you can customize the colors and shape of QR codes, even add a custom frame with a CTA.
If the codes blend seamlessly with your brands image, the scanning and conversion rate will be through the roof. An average study shows a shopping 34.6% increase only based on design and CTA alone. You need to sart Calling The People to Action!
Note: Please always take the QR Code size into consideration. It should be big enough, but not horrifyingly humungous. You can learn about the industryâs best QR Code size standards here.
#3 QR Codes are not just for websites and links
Mostly people just use QR Generators online for creating website and URL link QR codes. Boy, are they missing out though (seriously, BIG TIME!).
Did you know you can get people to send e-mails, connect on Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp â even share business cards? All this, only using QR Codes. Itâs rather fascinating really how much engagement you can drive with these little bad boys.
How about getting people to sign up for an e-mail list? Not a problem, Maui Moisture here did just that:
Forming a killer marketing strategy to slay your competitors this season
Attention is the main currency nowadays. It doesnât matter whether it is online or offline. The key to success is to create noise for your product and to target your leads in a way that speaks to them. Follow these steps and prepare to bank big!
#4 Market research comes first â ALWAYS
We know that usually marketing begins before the actual launch. But where people usually fail is to start research before marketing. Kind of like driving blindfolded into a brick wall â why would you do that?
The first goal is to determine your audience. What do they respond to? What gets them going? What are they passionate about? Where do they congregate? The second part is mostly about competitor research. How are they doing things? What could you be doing a lot better than them? Where will you probably suck a whole lot more? How can you compensate for that?
Once we have gotten over our procrastination and dealt with this boring part, we can now start the fun part that all digital marketers live and die for.
#5 Sell the story, not the product
Unless you are selling toilet paper and masks amid the coronavirus rage, chances are the consumer will not care about your product because there is just too much noise.
People donât want what they need, they want what they desire. (Please go read Seth Godin if you already havenât). Now, to do this, we need to create a story around your product and brand. How can your product make the customer feel? What kind of consumer emotions are you able to trigger? Why should I care enough to scan your QR Code?
At the end of the process, if you did your storytelling correctly â the customers will sell the product to themselves. And that is the best kind of marketing for those epic high conversion sales.
The problem is however, people are always stuck up their phones. Even in the physical world. True story, I saw this girl walk into a street pole just yesterday. Giving the consumer QR Codes to scan, we can connect with them on a digital level. Because thatâs where all the attention is nowadays. Why swim against the river when you can take advantage of your physical locations and start engaging with your customers at the heart of their attention spans.
The best way to grab their attention is to follow AIDA. Grab the customersâ attention, pique their interest, create desire, and follow up with a super sweet looking custom QR Code that has a mindblowing CTA frame around it. Get them triggered and angry if you must, as long as youâre able to get a reaction out of them, you are already halfway there.
Putting it all together
Now that you are familiar with the benefits of QR Codes and how to properly implement them, I think itâs time to take this theory for a spin. Iâts time to take things to the next level and start planning to go live with our new viral marketing hacks.
You can Google around for some of the best QR Code Generators online. Many of them will be paid and many of them will suck (you out of your time and your money). Weâre not the ones to toot our own horn, so donât take our word for it. Do your research, look around, see what you can find. We imply you to take ours for a spin as well and let us know how you think it compares. May the sales be with you!

Are QR Codes Helping Cure Coronavirus?
So, something weird just happened. Itâs Friday the 13th and how the heck do QR Codes have anything to do with COVID-19 coronavirus? Can QR Codes actually help cure coronavirus? Iâm a bit skeptical, to be honest.
Well, be prepared for some mindblowing conspiracy! Why is the Chinese government is using a QR code generator to tag people like sheep? Is this humane behavior or just effective tactics as Chinese usually?
Besides locking yourself up for the next 2-3 months â what are the most effective ways of really staying safe during this viral COVID-19 outbreak? The great news is, QR Codes are here to help. Can they really cure anything though? Letâs dig a bit deeper to find out.
This Strange Trick â How China is Using QR Codes to Track Coronavirus Outbreaks
What are these three colored pixelated codes? Have the Chinese lost their minds or are they actually up to something rather clever?
Despite the crazy outbreak of the virus â the Chinese are already starting to return to their everyday work, because hey, thatâs just life â you got to pay the bills. Strangely enough, it seems like mobile phones are a major key to helping track and contain the spread of the coronavirus by creating QR codes.
Now the Chinese cities have started demanding people to use QR Codes to prove that they are not potentially infected.
Thanks to an app named Alipay Health, people are assigned 3 colors, depending on if they are allowed to be in public or have to sit locked up at home. This is helping more than 200 Chinese cities already and the results are astonishing.
The app helps notify users if they have come into contact with anyone potentially carrying the viral coronavirus. The police and other app users are notified of the data and get notifications of warnings.
Only the people who have green QR codes are able to roam around the city in Beijing. Yellow means you get a seven-day lockdown, while the dreaded red holds you down for 14 days.
The app can be accessed through WeChat. Everyone can get a code by verifying them through face recognition and national identity number. The bottom line is, everyone has to scan their QR codes to provide verification before they can move on.
Is it too Late â Can QR Codes Help Contain the Spread of COVID-19?
QR Codes are really effective in helping people keep their distance from one another. Depending on the quality of your QR code scanner tool and phone camera, you can easily scan them from a few meters away.
So, following in the footsteps of the clever Chinese people â Here are some of our favorite methods for keeping a proper distance from contamination risk while still being able to share and interact with other people:
Share your Wifi Login
I wouldnât really want anyone touching my Wifi router during this time of the year, itâs just too risky! What if there was a hands-free method to share your Wifi login when both people donât have an iPhone on hand?
Luckily enough, you can create a QR code to share your Wifi login rather easily. This code can either be printed out or displayed directly from your phone or computer screen.
Share your Contact info
On your way to a business meeting? I pray the god that you can do it online. Even if that isnât the case â you should definitely avoid swapping any business cards with potential leads and customers. A much safer way would be to use a vCard QR code generator to share your contact info.
Just display the QR from your phone and let other people scan it from a properly safe distance.
Send and Receive Payments
You definitely want to avoid dirty old cash during this virus outbreak season. That is the easiest way to come into contact with a multitude of germs. No reason to put yourself in jeopardy just to send or receive payments.
Whether you prefer Bitcoin, Litecoin or Dash â this Cryptocurrency QR code generator has got you covered.
Scan QR Codes Safely
If your phone has a decent camera, youâre off to a great start. But what if your phone doesnt natively scan QR codes? You can use a free online QR code scanner tool. In addition, you have the benefit of saving your QR code scan history for later.
What was that last QR code you scanned a few days ago? Itâs definitely not worth going out again and risking the chance of possibly getting infected.
The Bottom Line â Play it Safe
Even though the cure for coronavirus hasnât been released yet, it is a safe bet to keep your distance from other people when sharing data. Sometimes the best offense is a solid defense, that definitely seems to be the move here.
QR Codes are the perfect solution to help you transfer data from afar and keep your distance from others who may be infected.
So from everyone here at Pageloot â stay safe everybody and keep on scanning (from a proper distance that is)!

How to Edit a QR Code?
With the rising number of tablets and smartphones, QR codes have become more useful. These codes are the best way to link up the print design into a website through code scanning. The most effective way to edit a QR code is through the use of a good-quality generator. This action allows you to edit the destination link after creating it.
A good number of sites are dedicated towards the generation of QR code. Some of them are not of the best quality, and theyâre not always easy to edit. Here is a primer on how to edit a QR code.
Steps for Editing Your QR Code
Open your QR code in Photoshop
Double-click on one of the layersâ Palette. Here you get the âBackgroundâ answer for it to allow you to change it into a layer. Nonetheless, it could say the âIndexâ is not valid. This error message should tell you that the file is already indexed. To counter it, you should be able to convert the mode of the image into a file. You can do this by maneuvering into the image, the mode. This action converts it into either CMYK or RGB, by following up your needs. It is going to change the âIndexâ into Background.â Thus, you can continue to double click and key in the name of the layer.
Here, youâll have to choose either black or all white. We recommend all white. You can use various methods of selection. They include âMagic Wandâ, although this only gives you a chance to choose a single section at once. It is also likely to take longer. Instead, you can go for orange Color. On the dialog box which that shows up, you have the opportunity to sample colors from top to drop-down box. This action enables you to hit once on the black region, and the program picks all pixels with similar color value. Click OK. You can now view the selection displayed on different parts of the image.
With the selection in active mode, you can remove the white parts. You can do this by adding a layer of the Mask. Clicking on Layer Maskâ button located at the lower part of the Layers Palette.âTransparentâ blends it with the background color when you drop it inside the file target.
Try to match the color scheme of your website. You can add âColor Overlayâ from the dialog box âLayer Style.â You can access it by double-clicking on a layer inside the Layersâ Palette. Make sure and tick the relevant box on the left side. Hit on the color box which displays dialog box of the Color Picker, when you can pick any color.
This step is the last. It involves saving of PNG file. If saved on a .JPG file, it is likely to fill up the transparent elements with the color red. To save the format, go to File, the Save on Web and Devices. This action displays the dialog box where you can convert the preset into PNG â 24. You have now saved your QR Code.
In Conclusion
You can place an edited QR code inside your file. Note that, when editing the QR code ensure the new color has enough contrast. It should have more than the background where you intend to place it. Thus, the QR scannerâ on your tablet or smartphone can read it. Click here now to access Pagelootâs high quality scanner.
