"Ah...excuse me..." A foxman dressed in rather unremarkable garb approaches the black mage, rubbing the back of his neck. "Are you Palom? I was told you were the man to see about learning to use magic. And, while I'm at it, what does 'Esuna' mean? Several people I've talked to here have yelled that at me." Maybe it's because they think he's a human who's been affected by a transformation spell...

This was...odd.  ...okay that may have been an understatement.  This...man?  Animal?  ...person?  Whatever they were was certainly an oddity.  Palom hadn’t seen anything like this before.  He found his mouth part slightly as he rose a brow.  All in all this was weird.

Palom took a moment to respond as he honestly didn’t quite catch what he had said at first, he was too busy gaping.  Whoops.

“...that’s uh...  Okay...for starters, that’s a white magic spell.  It cures any sort of...ailments that you might have.  If you’re looking for a healer you’ve got the wrong mage.  You should look for my sister, she’s the one who’s good at white magic,” admitting that almost stung a bit, he still had yet to learn a bit of the spiritual art, although he knew he needed to if he wanted to achieve his childhood dream, “...as for learning magic, I don’t know why anyone would have suggested me.”  Anyone who suggested Palom as a teacher of all things probably somehow managed to not hear a thing about his attitude, he definitely wasn’t popular with anyone in the village.  Although he still managed to garner respect from others for his talents.  ...begrudging respect, but respect none-the-less.  Or maybe he hoped this poor sap would just get told off by him, heh.
