Hopsewee Plantation
Traveling down the King’s Highway, just south of the Santee Delta and Hopsewee Plantation. This portion of the Highway still exists as a dirt road, and is said to be the Oldest Road in continual use in the United States. George Washington traveled on it during his famous “Southern Tour”. Its span was from Boston to Charleston.
