@nonus-secundus gives us: Horus fantasizing about Sanguinius. It's from The End and the Death II, so you know it's gonna be GOOD.

@two-reflections gives us: relentless Salamander branding masochism, described as "the tip of the iceberg" when it comes to Tsu'gan. This one threw me for a loop, too.

A few years ago fandom focused on the tragic, monstrous, dramatic aspects of the not very fleshed out relationship between Fulgrim and Ferrus and mostly had fun with the Fulgrim/N'kari-dynamic (I loved that). Fast forward to 2025 and for some reason there seems to be established fanon that Fulgrim is some pretty, helpless, clingy, trad-wifey, dependend bottom to Ferrus' chud-top, content with wearing pretty dresses and make-up and being armcandy.

More power to you, if that's your HC, I am all for very diverse HCs, but ... how did the fiercest duelist of the brothers, the most driven, one of the most haunted, martially perfect, in many aspects very ruthless and monstrous Primarch, gene-sire to the most obsessed, haughty Legion become a beige-purple Clean Girl in fanon? I am amazed.

Well, maybe we are in for another shift in perspective soon. Who knows?

Agree to disagree ;) There is a difference between liking a fictional asshole vs a real one. I mean, there are plenty of people (me included) who love Night Lords, but I can pretty confidently say that none of us like actual murderers and torturers. Same goes for all the other horrible people and entities in the franchise, of which there are plenty.

In any case, Erebus is a well-written character who is not even the worst in the entire franchise. I used to irrationally hate on him as well, because of the memes, but I know better now and can appreciate him fully and admire his skills, without being a fan or hater. :)

Vallejo Shifter Paints over all kinds of purple gradients work so fantastically well, I am flashed!

He's an Emperor's Children who got his hands on one of those newfangled armours. And had to paint it to fit his aesthetically standards.

Technically it wasn't as complicated as I thought it would be. I based him with the purple gradients I wanted and then added a LOT of VERY thin Shifter coats with very even brushstrokes.

I will buy more of those paints.

That's the kind of Emperor's Children drug experience I am going for.
