Notice of Hiatus
First of all, let us assure you that we don’t intend to end Mandatory Entertainment Night, or any of the other content--meta or otherwise--of this blog. As some of you may know, this is run by the two-man team of @keytarsolo and @megaweapon. This year, Keytar has been experiencing some pretty persistently bad health issues that are keeping them from enjoying, and sometimes even participating in, the movie night experience.
This, combined with some other less-serious factors, has led us to make the decision to put movie night on a temporary hiatus, at least for the month of June, possibly stretching slightly beyond that. A this time, we’re just not sure. However, we will be endeavoring to bring you a little meta content here and there, probably even more than we posted while movie night was live, as a sort of trade-off, though this honestly depends on both of our availability.
We plan to be back! And, when we do, we’ll come back swinging. Keep an eye on the blog for an update here and there, and remember to keep up with your weekly doses of mandatory entertainment without us.

Due to unforeseen complications with the new pest-control system installed during last week’s downtime, we will be closing the tower once again this weekend, and postponing out Mandatory Entertainment Night for another week.
Personnel are advised to seek their mandatory weekly dose of entertainment out on their own, unless that are trapped in the cafeteria, in which case, remain calm. The cafeteria’s dimensional displacement is a known issue and we are working to correct it. Please enjoy the refreshments provided.

Due to scheduled pest-control maintenance, the tower will be closed today, and there will be no scheduled Mandatory Entertainment. Employees are encouraged to seek out their own entertainment to satisfy their weekly quota. We will return to our regularly scheduled activities next week.

Heya, everyone! Figure it’s about time to get some Extro back in your lives. We’re pumped to celebrate our 1 year anniversary tonight*, so be sure to come on down to The Falconer to party with us. Got two films in the vein of ‘uh oh, this thing has grown giant and we gotta take it out,’ one from 2001, and one from 2002, should be some fun 00s camp. So come join us when we kick off the night at 4 PM CST. *We might be a little late on that, but eh, who’s counting!

Good afternoon, everyone! It’s time, once again, for your weekly dose of Mandatory Entertainment! We’re having another animated special tonight, and looking into films about great adventures (and films that could probably be considered more cult classics than big box office successes, but I digress). Our selections include:
A 2001 pulp adventure mashing up Greek myth with Verne flair, which follows a ragtag group of specialists with a very specific destination in mind: a lost city that may or may not have ever existed.
A film that changed its shape just as much as the displaced monarch in its title--originally conceived as a dramatic piece, this was later reworked into a much more humorous (and very beloved) musical comedy.
We’ll be starting tonight around 4:30 PM CST at the Rooftop Patio Lounge! I look forward to seeing all of you there.

Good evening, everyone! It’s time, again, for your weekly dose of Mandatory Entertainment. We’re moving away from big-budget features this weekend, with selections that include:
The sequel to a 2013 film brought to us by prolific movie studio The Asylum. Will this second entry in the series prove to be closer to its Hollywood counterpart this time, or will these filmmakers--once again--go off the deep end?
You’ll be shocked. You’ll be terrified. You’ll be sold solar panel technology for a reasonable price. Keep your eyes on the skies and your heads covered, because bad special effects aren’t the most dangerous thing about this film...
We’ll be starting with a bit of a delay today, so please note the time: 5PM CST, in the Greenhouse Room. I look forward to seeing all of you there!

Good afternoon, everyone! We assured you we’d be back, and we are, to give you your weekly dose of Mandatory Entertainment! We’re doing the first two movies of a series, tonight, both of which are brought to us by esteemed director James Cameron--a first for Mandatory Entertainment Night.
Let’s see if his films, as they say, “live up to the hype.” We’ll be meeting tonight at 4:30 PM CST in the Boiler Room, and I look forward to seeing all of you there!
