most of the time everything sucks but when the sky is blanketed in dark blue-grey clouds after heavy raining and the sun starts to peek through the clouds so that the tops of trees glint pale green and every white structure is starkly, blindingly silhouetted against the sky i’m ok.

For the ask meme: 55: Favorite high-effort meal that you make?
most of the higher effort things i make are baked goods so i don't necessarily count those *but* i have managed to cobble together a chili that meets my tastes from various recipes and while it's not necessarily super high effort there is a fair amount of prep involved and i do let it simmer for a while
i make it at least once every fall and it's the entire reason i keep frozen spoonfuls of pureed chipotles in adobo in the freezer
