I was gonna do some ask responses but I’m just so exhausted orz I promise I’ll get to them soon! Things are just straight up insane atm in so many ways.

“Look, you pieces of shit.”

Papyrus looks very angry. Red trails of magic curl up from his eyes and his hands are shaking.

“I know this is fucking difficult for you. I know. I practically have to torture my brother into getting it done.”

He takes a deep, unsteady breath.

“But WASH YOUR FUCKING HANDS.”

What's a typical day like for The Terrible Papyrus (and Sans)?

Papyrus perks up. “A good question! An excellent training regimine is important for any budding warrior.

“Well, I start by waking up Sans, usually by having to push the dumbass out of bed, then make breakfast. After we eat, I patrol Snowdin for a couple hours, making sure no monsters have done anything stupid while I was busy. If there were any deaths overnight, I take account and report them. Usually Lieutenant Undyne and I have lunch and discuss the affairs of the Royal Guard and...any...orders from the king for the day.”

His demeanor doesn’t noticeably change, but there’s an air of discomfort around him. “It’s rare for the king to pass down any orders, though. And if he needs the Judge, he just summons Sans himself.” His claws dig into his humeri.

He clears his throat. “Anyway, after that, Undyne and I spar for a while, then I do my rounds again and head home to make dinner. Sans usually goes to bed after that, the lazy bastard, but I stay up and do paperwork and watch MTTV. And that is pretty much it. I do switch up my routine every so often, because being predictable is a good way to get yourself dusted.”

*looks at him straight in the eyesocket* i am human and i always keep my guard up whilst still being kind just because people are used to a hard life dont mean there always evil some just dont know HOW to leave such a tough life *sighs* sometimes people just need someone whose strong kind yet KNOWS how to keep people in place

Papyrus’s expression hardens and the look he levels on the human is cold and red like blood. “You must not be out of stripes yet,” he says in a voice like iron. “Only a child would be stupid enough to say something so crass to me. You think there aren’t monsters that tried that approach? You think we enjoy not being able to show each other affection? Not being able to grow close? Those that try die. Often painful, pointless deaths.”

He clenches his hands into fists. “Keep your pretty words, human. I fight to survive and I will continue to do so. There IS no way out of this life besides death. So I will cling to it.”

Hey Papyrus. What would you describe yourself as? Like your personality and such.

“Personality?” Papyrus pondered for a moment. “Brave, charismatic, strong will.” He ticked each off on a long gloved finger. “Powerful, of course. A leader.”

A small sigh. “Well, there is more to it, of course, but to reveal too much is to display weakness. And I am not fool enough to do that in front of people I do not know.”

well i never met an amazing skeleton like yourself and wanted to know more of the monsters and such i only heard about monsters being evil and such .... but i doubt that i can understand strong and noble or respectful but why evil? *has a thinking face on*

He blinked. “Of course we are evil. We’re monsters, dumbass.”

He started pacing back and forth, frowning in consternation. “Let me explain something to you, human. Or whatever you are. Down here, it’s kill or be killed. That isn’t some throwaway phrase. It means if you turn your back on someone, spare their life for one second, they will stab you in the back to take your power. And no one would think badly of them. They would just laugh at you for being a fool.”

He stopped again. “The only person I trust is my brother and even that is tenuous at best. In a place where you can’t even trust your own friends, you really think we are anything but evil?”

Well all things considered *small warm smile forms on her round face* you dont really look fear inducing more like *puts a small thinking face on the gets all bright eyed* respectful and noble!🤩☺️

Papyrus huffed. “Those are not mutually exclusive, thank you very much!” He rolled his eyelights. “Thinking I am not fear-inducing...You must not be from around this area.”

He leaned in, face turning slightly sinister. “If I can manage to instill fear into my brother, I can scare anyone.” He straightened again, hands going to rest on his hips. “But that is neither here nor there. You wanted an audience. You have it. What do you want?”

( I made this for you out of the tears of children uwu~ ) — “A portrait of me?” He seemed flattered...then annoyed. “Why the fuck would you use the tears of children? That is hardly an adequate medium, I would guess.”

*takes shades off* well nice to meet you captain papyrus and yes you do look amazing!

For a brief moment, Papyrus’s scowling expression flat-lined and he just stared. He looked away and cleared his throat then crossed his arms.

“Of course I do! I take impeccable care of myself, including training and putting on warpaint before going out each day. The necessities in order to maintain a forbiddable visage.” By warpaint, he probably meant the red marks around his eyes. “I am unsurprised you noticed.”

could i please gain an audience with the prickly pap? never talked to him before :3

“Of course you may! But my name is Captain Papyrus, not ‘Pap.’ You have never spoken to me before? That is incredible; I am such a magnetic person.”

Papyrus hummed in thought. “Perhaps it is because I am quite terrifying. An unfortunate side-effect of being so great and intimidating.”
