I had a dream I was a member of some black ops space marines unit and the leader of our unit was secretly my wife. And the only reason she proposed to me was cause she was there to see the entirety of my cringe fail cadet days and couldn't stop thinking about me. Also, she could rip aliens in half with her bare hands.

I have never been more upset to wake up.

survival cannibalism is treated like such a monstrous spectacle of lost humanity but I think the vast majority of people would want their loved ones to accept their flesh as a gift of life before starvation. I know if my friends chose to starve rather than eat me I’d come back to fucking haunt them.

Having a traumatic childhood means you cannot talk even objectively about your basic foundational experiences without it being "venting", even if you're not actually venting. You just straight up have a huge chunk of your life you can't talk about, full stop, without it being trauma dumping.

And it not being socially acceptable to talk about your own childhood is super alienating. Sometimes people want to know why, and any answer you can give them is going to be off putting.

It's to the point I get irritated when something I said is framed as venting when I'm literally just talking about my life experiences, doing my best to keep emotion out of it.
