The shared universe of Wizard101 and Pirate101 is confirmed to have the Grim Reaper as an existing character. However this is revealed in Pirate101, not Wizard101. This has struck me as odd since there're active necromancers in Wizard101 and if anyone would know about the existence of the Grim Reaper, it should be them, Right? But apparently not. Even almost 10 years since Pirate101 came out (I think) where Wizard was still being actively updated and nope. No mention of him anywhere. Very odd. Anyway I decided do what I always do with these sorts of things and make up my own lore since the games sure as fuck aren't gonna give them to me!
The reason that there aren't any necromancers who've met the Grim Reaper or even knows he exists is because he tends to stay away from necromancers because they make his job, to take people who are scared of death or don't want to die to the other side, a lot harder and it's been shown in our interactions with him in Pirate that he doesn't like that.
Then I started thinking about the implications of that more. Wizard City has an awful lot of undead walking around. A lot more than most worlds in this universe. There's 3 whole caves dedicated entirely to hold them. Several bosses being undead just hanging out in random towers thought Wizard City with quite a few of them implied that they were there before the caves were broken open with no real clue given as to why.
The more I thought about it, the more it started to add up. People who die in Wizard City who don't want to die for one reason or another aren't being taken so they stick around. Most lose their sense of identity and become part of the mindless hordes of undead in the caves. But some manage to keep hold of who they are. They take their residence in the unused towers around Wizard City rather than go to the caves.

Pirate101 has made my views on the Spiral's religion/mythology system more complicated
From the viewpoint of Wizard101, there are 3 primordial gods (Raven, Spider, and Bartleby). There's also the Titans, who are powerful beings who control fire, ice, and storm respectively. But that's it. Sure we actively meet the Immortals (who are the Spiral's version of the Greek Gods) but they aren't actually gods, right? They're just powerful magic users who are immortal for some reason. There's no actual evidence in Wizzy, where we meet and fight them, that they're actually powerful gods. And then Pirate101 comes along and yup, they are in fact powerful god like beings
There's also the Native American (Cool Ranch Bison) spirit gods. General spirits that Witch Doctors commune with and draw power from, ect.
I consider that, in the context of the Spiral, the Immortals and the Spirits (both types) are the same kinda thing (which I will collectively be referring to as Spirits).
So there's a sort of "God" hierarchy in the Spiral.
.
At the bottom we have the Spirits. Powerful enough to grant powers to others and have some limited level of power over their worlds. (I think the Divine Paradox/Scion of Bartleby, Mellori, and The Bat would kinda be a part of this level as the mortal aspects/children of Raven, Spider, and Bartleby)
.
Next we have the Titans, the children of Spider and Raven. They have power over the three most important elements (fire, ice, and storm) in the Spiral. They're extremely powerful and can have control over the whole Spiral, not just a single world. Luckily they're in a magic eternal sleep otherwise they'd finish what they started and completely destroy the Spiral. However, even in their slumber, their power persists
.
And at the top we have Bartleby, Raven, and Spider. The Primordial Gods. The ones who created the Spiral. The ones who hold it together. And the ones who have the most power to destroy it. There would be no magic, no life, no Spiral without the 3 of them, despite how badly Raven wanted to remove all of Spider's influence from the Spiral but he is a critical part of it and the Spiral cannot exist without him just as it can't without Raven or Bartleby
.
Also this isn't even mentioning whatever the fuck is going on with Monquista's tree and banana Catholicism (tho I do think this one just goes back to Bartleby but it somehow got twisted a bit on the way) and whatever or whoever the fuck Marleybone's churches are dedicated to

I've noticed that people seem to treat Six as if she's the one that will always pick a fight and Mono as if he's the innocent soft bean that wouldn't hurt a fly. But, I don't think that's so much the case.
Six has killed 3 and a half people in the entirety of the 2 main games, not counting the Guests at the end of the first game.
I'm counting the Hunter as a half as Six and Mono worked together to kill him and I'm not counting the Doctor as she just locked him in the incinerator and would let him live if you choose to walk away, it's Mono who turns it on and kills him. If I did count the Doctor, it would count as half like with the Hunter, so that would still be only 4 people in 2 entire games.
Mono, meanwhile, has killed more in his one game than I can remember off the top of my head.
Mono is the deadly one who will pick a fight and choose violence

Wizard City Student NPC Headcanons (Part 1)
I wrote these up a few days ago and thought I’d share them! Most of these are derived from something within the canon, so they aren’t too wild. I’ve only played up to mirage so if some of these end up being contradicted by something then my bad. I’ve never really written headcanon stuff too much so hopefully these are good
Sabrina Greenstar
Sabrina and Regina are friends, and are in the same science class (See book quest)
Sabrina works at the fairgrounds with Hilda but she loves spending time in the library. Because of this she’s also really good at potion sorting/potion motion
Another activity she enjoys doing is crafting - that’s why she dropped those notes in Olde town, she was talking with Eudora
Sabrina also hangs out with Boris, and they like to talk about books
Sabrina is one of the older students, and around the same age as Malorn, which is why she’s allowed to help younger students learn spells
She jades in pvp
Regina Flametalon
She’s a year younger than Sabrina, but she took advanced science because she thought it would be fun
She was very wrong but she’s still capable of keeping up with the class
Regina likes photomancy, and while she doesn’t garden, has an appreciation for nature
Regina is good at battles but relies heavily on dots, which is why she didn’t have time to do Golem Tower herself
Boris Tallstaff
Boris is an assistant at the library. He’s a huge history nerd, and has a love of reading
Apart from Sabrina, Boris is also friends with Abby and Simeon. Abby dunks on him for being a nerd
He enjoys creative writing because he’s a storm
He likes watching pvp, but not participating
Abby K. Doodle
The RA of Ravenwood
She enjoys doing a lot of different activities, but fishing is her favourite because you can do it almost everywhere
Even though she pokes fun at Boris for reading, she enjoys comics
A known kill stealer, but she normally doesn’t mean it she’s just got a lot of energy
On the note of energy, she’s probably also a storm
Simeon
Simeon, Abby, and Boris are also some of the older students, which shows through the jobs the former two have
Simeon knows the locations of all the smiths
He likes travelling a lot, and was selected to participate for the Spiral Cup at one point
He’s very witty, and sometimes needs to serve as a mediator between Abby and Boris

The LN Characters Heights
Ok so I had a couple people ask about my height chart for the LN characters and I wanted to share it. I tried to measure them with the models in game and using the official art as well (for the characters who are never seen standing straight like Roger or the Hunter for example) and,,,,,,,,, im kinda,,, omg.
A note before we go: I used Six and Mono as refs, but in the official wiki it says that they are only a few inches tall (so around 25 cm), but most of the monsters are described as "unnaturally tall" so I have two mesurements - the ones based on the kids being 25 cm tall and one with them being 70 cm (raincoat & paperbag included). ALSO PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ISN'T PROBABLY ACCURATE!!! LIKE AT ALL. I did my best but it's completely possible I'm wrong. Also these are all approximated.
LETS GO
THE MAW
The Nomes = 15 cm/6 inches or 60 cm /1'9" feet.
Long hat included! They're tiny🥺
Roger = Around 122 cm/ 4' feet or 167 cm/ 5'6" feet.
This was the first surprise. Here I thought he was a shortie and now I find out he might be taller than me😭 like sir what🤨🤚
The Chefs = a bit taller than 110 cm/ 3'6" feet or 155 cm/ 5'1" feet.
HAHHAHAHAHHAHA PLSSS I could literally hold stuff over my head and they wouldn't be able to reach it,,,, this is so funny it'll never leave my mind. But really, it shouldn't have been such a surprise. Six is much bigger next to them than she is next to Roger.
The Guests = Around 135 cm/ 4'5" feet or 180 cm/ 5' 11" feet.
I'm practically certain that this one's wrong and they may be a bit shorter but still. Now I understand why the Chefs wait until they're asleep before they chop em. They're literally so much bigger than them.
The Lady = 155 cm/ 5"1' feet (165 cm/ 5'5" with the bun) or 200 cm/ 6'7" feet (210 cm/ 6'11" feet with the bun)
Can I say step on me or will I be sent to horny jail JAISKKLLDLFL but fr shes SO TALL its terrifying. Poor Six barely reaches her knee and I barely reach her shoulder. THE CHEFS DONT EVEN REACH THAT HAJDLRLFLLLLF ok enough chefs slander I love them they dont deserve this
I wasn't able to get the Granny's nor the Shadow Children's which saddens me to no end but alas, lets move on to LN 2.
THE PALE CITY
Hunter = 115 cm/ 3'7" feet or 160 cm/ 5'3" feet.
SMOL HUNTER! tinie. (holds gently) JDKKKD No but he's part of the Shorties, right next to the Bois. Love him. Go tiny man with your shoot gun that is literally as tall as you are. Go
Teacher = Around 150 cm/ 4'11 feet or 195 cm/6'5" feet.
🤚 hold on man hold on a second. Man hold on a second. Now I finally understand why the Bullies were so scared of her DAMN. she's almost as tall as the Lady that is TERRIFYING, mostly because I wasn't expecting it at all. And this isn't even the worst discovery I made 🙃
Bullies = 35 cm/ 1'3" feet or 70 cm/ 2'7" feet.
Well, Mono is around 15/60 cm without his paperbag so this def makes sense. I love the Bullies ill just (holds gently with Hunter)
Doctor = 405 cm/ 13 feet or 450 cm/ almost 15' feet
😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃what the fuck what the fuck what the fuck what the ficldfkflglf PLEASE prove me wrong. For once in my life i do not want to be right. Please. Please. Someone more competent than me try and figure this out I cannot handle this today
The Viewers = Around 145 cm/ 4'9" feet or 190 cm/ 6'3" feet.
This one impressed me I thought they were way shorter.
The Thin Man = Around 225 cm/ 7'5" feet or 270 cm/ 8'8" feet.
Listen after Doc this sounds perfectly reasonable. Also have you seen how much he has to kneel to get thru doors??? Hes a tall man. Im gonna start calling him street lamp (affectionate) (slander)
And that's all of them! All I have to add is

Mono was an orphan. He, and a group of other orphans lived in a building with boarded and chained up doors and windows. There is at least 1 broken TV and 1 working TV in that place. The other orphans were scared of him because of his eyes (which are pure black except for the pupils, which looks to be made of tv static) and connection to the TVs, so they either ran from him or picked on him. He started wearing his paper bag because of that or, when wearing a hat that doesn't cover his face, he wears a mask with tinted but see through something (dark colored lace? Glass? Plastic?) covering the eye holes so people can't see his eyes. It also helped lessen his TV powers a bit, which was a pleasant surprise to him. He still was made fun of and didn't have friends there though.
One day, a fire broke out in the building. The kids tried to get out, but all the possible escape routes were boarded, chained, or blocked. Thankfully the sprinklers still worked, and put our the fire. Then something started to snatch kids from the shadows. Mono ran. He made it to a room with a broken TV in it and, hearing footsteps behind him, hid inside it. He kept very still and quiet so the monster wouldn't see him, but he was able to peek out a little and saw the monster, a monster that he recognized from stories and nightmares alike.
Known only as the Thin Man, this monster was the one who controlled the televisions, sending out that hypnotic signal to corrupt and distort anyone who is unfortunate enough to get lured in. It's also known that he can crawl out of the TVs themselves, and does so to collect the bodies of those the Signal killed and to snatch away kids.
The Thin Man is so tall, that his head is above the doorframe and he'd have to duck to walk through it, but Mono can tell it's him all the same. He watches as the Thin Man stands, body glitching, on the other side of the doorway of the room Mono is hiding in for what feels like an eternity but couldn't have been more than a minute before he walks away. Mono, knowing that the other kids already associate him with that monster, knows that he can't stay there any longer. He knows that they will find some way to blame him for the Thin Man's appearance there and they will be even more afraid and hateful toward him. He was afraid that the ones who picked on him may actually kill him. So, he ran. Scurrying through the building, trying to find a way out, in different areas from where the others were already looking. He entered a room and was immediately hit with a loud, sharp ringing sound, causing him to double over and clutch his head in pain. He could tell that the noise was coming from a working TV that was in that room. A TV which Mono was compelled to go to, a compulsion so strong he couldn't resist it. He put his hand on the TV and he was sucked in. It seemed like he was going through a tunnel made of flesh, then he was spit out on some grass, where Mono promptly passed out.

Fertility
Magic affects it's users fertility, with each school affecting it in different ways.
Storm: They have slightly higher fertility. They are the most likely of all the schools to have pre-mature babies.
Fire: They have slightly lower fertility. They're the most tired and sluggish of all the schools when pregnant.
Ice: They're general level of fertility is average. They're the most likely of all the schools to have overdue babies.
Myth: They fluctuate between having higher and lower fertility. They sort of have "mating seasons" so to speak where they're more easily able to conceive a kid. They are the most likely of all the schools, except Life, to have multiple kids at the same time (twins, triplets, ect.). They're also the school most likely to have kids with birth defects of some kind.
Life: Being so intertwined with life magic leads theurgists to have extremely high fertility. They will also almost never miscarry. They have a higher than average chance of having multiple kids at a time (twins, triplets, ect.).
Death: Being so intertwined with death magic leads Necromancers to have fairly low fertility. They also have a higher chance of having a miscarriage.
Balance: They are normal. Boring.
When a Theurgist and Necromancer 'mate', their respective fertility issues sort of cancel each other out.
Necromancers, when having kids with another necromancer, will almost always be declared a high risk pregnancy and will be put on bed rest basically as soon as they find out that they're pregnant.
There are rumors that Thaumaturges have longer fertile periods because they're naturally colder. It is unknown if this is true or not.

Magic Leaking Out
Sometimes, the magic within Wizards will seep out without the Wizard casting any spells or actually using it. Most of the time this happens intentionally in a safe, controlled manner. When done on purpose, it's pretty harmless. However, sometimes the wizard will simply lose control of their magic, which is a lot less controlled and very dangerous to others.
The way the magic manifests itself when seeping out depends on the type of magic. How potent or deadly it is when the wizard loses control of it depends on how powerful the wizard is. Wizards of the same type of magic are resistant, but not immune, to the leaking magic of others of their school.
A wizard could lose control for a multitude of reasons, some of which include; not using their magic for a long period of time or an extremely strong or intense negative emotion, especially if said emotion was bottled up for a while or leaves the wizard vulnerable.
Storm magic, when seeping out, comes out as sparks down the Diviner's arms and legs. When they lose control, the air around them turns electric and bolts of electricity will randomly shoot out from them. If someone manages to get close enough to touch them, then they will be hit with a massive volt of electricity that either sends whoever touched the Diviner flying backwards or immediately collapse to the ground.
Fire magic, when seeping out, takes the form of smoke curling off the Pyromancer and the air around them heating up. When they lose control, the air turns scorching hot. Any liquid within the radius starts boiling. The ground under their feet becomes scorched. Anything flammable within the radius will either start smoking or full on catch fire. When they start to lose control from anger, smoke literally comes out of their ears.
Ice magic, when seeping out, can be seen in the Thaumaturges breath being visible, as well as the air around them cooling down. When they lose control, the air turns freezing. Any liquid within the radius almost instantly freezes over. Any surface around them, including the ground under them, will start being covered in frost and ice.
Myth magic, when seeping out, takes the form of an aura surrounding the entirety of the Conjurer. When they lose control, the aura turns sharp and blinding. Those that get too close get knocked out and are subject to horrible nightmares.
Life magic, when seeping out, causes little plants to sprout at the Theurgists feet and any nearby plants to blossom. When they lose control, thorny plants spring up all around them and other plants will lash out at anyone that gets too close.
Death magic, when seeping out, looks like fog collecting around the Necromancer's feet and coming out of their hands. When they lose control, the fog becomes highly toxic. It kills any plants, insects, or small animals it touches instantly and poisons any bigger animals or humans that breathe it in.
Balance magic, when seeping out, takes the form of a small dust cloud around the Sorcerer's feet. When they lose control, the dust cloud becomes bigger and rises from the ground, swirling around in wind that wasn't there before, becoming a dust devil.
