A sand / night hybrid for funzies~.*•

Concept art for a world building thing of mine! The creature here isn't named yet, but it serves as a mount for the main sentient species of the world (the little rabbit guys)

They're pretty fast, and they have a very strong bite, as well as opposable thumbs on the middle set of limbs. In the wild, they live in small packs, but solitary and pairs are common as well.

When tame, these beasts are used as mounts, and are ideal for traveling long distances while carrying immense loads (at least from a tiny person's perspective). They are also excellent war mounts, as their agility, bite force, and intelligence aid well to their battle prowess. They're very loyal creatures, and they benefit greatly from the armours and weapons given to them by the rabbit guys.

They're the main sentient species of the planet, but they are very small. However, their tiny size doesn't stop them from conquering and holding a vast territory.

They highly value the lizard creatures, and decorate them with beads, colourful woven ropes, leathers, and metals.

Their cities are often built on the backs of "behemoths" which are a species of giant tortoises that roam the land. They also occasionally build their houses attached to their mounts instead.

As a note; They build hidden ladders into their mount's armour so they can get up and down lol

Here's a sketch of Silver after he's gotten his wings!

As you can see, they're modelled after the Atlas moth (which is the moth he's actually named after), and the undersides are oranges closer to the actual moth's colouration, where the top sides are more blues.

I don't know if this will be his final design, but it's the one he has now!

The desert is this trio's least favourite place.

Why? You ask?

Cotton thinks the desert is super boring, just sand as far as the eye can see. She doesn't mind the heat, she is half sandwing, after all, but she still hates the desert all the same.

Thistle is half icewing, kind if self explanatory, he has a low heat tolerance, especially if it's dry. He can't even cool himself down because his "ice" breath doesn't work when it's too hot out.

Silver just hates sand. He can't stand the feeling of it between his toes, he hates walking on it, he hates how it gets everywhere, he just really hates sand.

Here's a wip that I'm probably never gonna finish lol, i was planning on adding Cotton and Thistle too, but i just lost the motivation for this one, so it's just Silver enjoying the view

The Prophet

Behold! A silkwing! His real name is Atlas (after the moth) but literally nobody knows that except his parents, everyone just calls him Silver, because it literally never occurred to him that he should properly introduce himself, and it's wayyyy to late to do that now.

He's part of Cotton's little crew, and despite not being a hybrid, other dragons still think he's really weird.

He can't fly yet, and he has no silk, because he's literally 5 and hasn't metamorphosed yet, but he'll get there! For now he makes do by being a very good climber and a fairly fast runner. It works, for now.

Despite his mother's attempts, Silver would much rather tend to his plants than learn to weave. He can weave, only because he was forced to learn, but he's much better at gardening than weaving

Stormseeker was born under an unlucky moon, or so his mother always says. He sees the occasional visions, but only of future disasters. He doesn't get prophecies or any other kinds of visions, like most seers, just disasters. (The disasters he sees generally range from a tree falling on someone's house to massive storms wiping out entire settlements.)

Anyways, have another wof oc! (I have a lot of them) This one is an existential disaster, but we love him anyways

Cottonmouth and Thistle exploring the rainforest~.*•

Thistle grew up in the rainforest, so he knows whats up, Cotton though? They are here for the first time and are absolutely delighted by how much stuff there is in the jungle (especially compared to the desert where they grew up)

(Also we get another look at Thistle's goofy camouflage)

Here's another WOF oc! This is Thistle, a half icewing, half rainwing hybrid!

Thistle is one of Cotton's friends, and part of her winglet at Jade academy :)

He can't spit venom, but he does have what I'll call "cold" breath. Which is a very weak form of the icewing's freezing breath. He can't really freeze things with his icy breath, but it's good for cooling you down in the summer, or for keeping your drinks chilled lol

His spots change colour, exactly like a regular rainwing, which leads to some odd looking camouflage (he doesn't usually even try to camouflage because it's a little pointless)
