i’ve been doing my homework on how to break into a writing career and honestly. there’s a Lot that i didn’t know about thats critical to a writing career in this day and age, and on the one hand, its understandable because we’re experiencing a massive cultural shift, but on the other hand, writers who do not have formal training in school or don’t have the connections to learn more via social osmosis end up extremely out of loop and working at a disadvantage.

You were at the Listen Up Nashville concert? Can you tell us about hearing "I Don't Mind" please? The videos I've seen are very compelling. The audience seemed hushed.

I was in Nashville for the Listen Up Tour. Darren singing “I Don’t Mind” was something that I can’t put into words. The crowd was completely silent. You could hear a pin drop. It was something magical IMO and I think everyone in that room felt blessed he chose Nashville to debut that song. I truly hope that song ends up on Darren’s eventual album. 

And regardless of the theories about him pulling out his cell phone for the performance (which he never once looked at after he placed it on his thigh), I think everyone can agree that it is a phenomenal song. I’ve not heard one single negative word about it. Nothing but positives.
