!!VITAL SAFETY INFORMATION!!!
On the off chance anyone sees this before going to a protest: I've been seeing people say "sit down if you see someone not being peaceful so organizers can handle the situation."
do not listen to ANYONE that tells you to do this. EVER.
Intentionally or not, the person who told you that could get you or someone else killed.
NEVER sit on the ground in the presence of a police line. You are a sitting duck for the cops to aim less lethal munitions at you. They don't care if you are harmless. They will aim 40mm munitions designed to bounce and hit your legs directly at your head at point blank range because they think it's funny, and if you're not wearing a good helmet, you will die. I've seen it happen.
A sitting person is also an invisible obstacle for squad cars and cops on horseback. They will trample you on purpose, don't give them a way to do it on accident.
NEVER sit in the middle of a large standing crowd. You could be trampled in SECONDS. Visibility is extremely low when 1000+ people are packed into a small space. If any sort of action kicks off and people start moving frantically, they won't see you and you'll be trampled. I'm talking crushed bones, concussions, and worse. You also function as a weapon because people will trip over you and hurt themselves.
NEVER make a protester in a crowd more obvious to the police, especially if they are committing a crime, especially in a climate where people are being disappeared into government black sites, especially in a situation where that person is likely to be brown, black, undocumented, etc. This is life or death. This isn't about whether or not you agree with their action. Put your ego away.
NEVER trust unnamed and unaccountable organizers (IE every one of them you do not personally know) to handle "security". This is how movements are infiltrated and neutralized. You don't need cops in the movement to abolish cops.
We protect us. Respect a diversity of tactics. Be safe. Trust each other.

I got into an argument with a (now former) friend about how they refuse to stop posting antisemitic misinformation. They said they "will never stop speaking out about genocide" (ie, posting on Instagram)
And it made me think, "well, what have I done?"
And you know what. Fuck it. I've done a lot.
I'm a Jew and I literally work for a church as a paid staff singer. An extremely progressive church with a streak that toes the line of antisemitism. They protest, they donate, they have a Palestine working group.
I work there nearly ten hours a week. Every week since October 7, multiple times a week, as a well-known Jewish staff member of the church choir, I have had difficult conversations with priests, staff, and congregants. Every. Week. It has been difficult and unavoidable and I briefly considered leaving the job over it.
And you know what? People have fucking listened. To me, a lonely Jewish staff member at a progressive church, whom they have every right to ignore or fire.
Every single person there has listened to me when I have spoken about antisemitism. About Jewish history or Jewish safety. About my own experiences.
And though they've toed the line sometimes and done or said things that have made me uncomfortable, although we don't always agree, they have not crossed the line. They could easily be the type of church to fire me. But they aren't.
Every week, they pray for Palestine and Israel. They pray for Jews and Muslims. They pray for the release of hostages and ceasefire. They affirm everyone's right to peace, a home, and self determination. They participate in interfaith meetings and dialogues even when it's difficult.
These Christians have made space for me as a Jewish staff member in their church.
And you know what. Seeing how organizations have cancelled interfaith events with Jews. Experiencing how many friends I've lost who refuse to speak to me because I'm Jewish. This is so important.
We have built bridges together.
When I go to Temple, I speak to my friends about misconceptions they have about Christianity and churches. So that in their fear of the current moment, they don't prejudge others or feel alone and they know that people of other faiths do support them.
I've started going to interfaith meetings and events locally. I felt drawn to them because I felt so uniquely situated to contribute to dialogue as a Jewish staff member of a church and an active member of both communities. I can understand and talk to people of different faiths and meet them where they're at. Because I've been unintentionally doing it for years.
It feels so small. I don't consider it "work" or "advocacy." I didn't even start having these conversations and building bridges by choice - more that I stumbled into them by weird happenstance as a Jewish classical musician. All I did was talk to my friends, neighbors, and community where we were at.
But it has had an impact. It has fostered understanding. It has helped people learn. Maybe it has even helped people feel safer. And I did it just by participating in my community.
Am I personally going to solve a seemingly intractable war? Of course not. I don't have any illusions of changing the world.
But I realized, as this so called progressive fellated themselves for posting stories on Instagram, that I've done good. I've made my community just a little bit better.
And isn't that all many of us can hope for - a better, safer community?
And isn't that where wide-reaching change begins - in a few hearts and minds in some neighborhood somewhere?
I think maybe this is the closest I have ever come to truly understanding tikkun olam. I won't solve the whole puzzle, but maybe I helped fit two pieces together. Maybe, just maybe, I've been able to repair a tiny corner of the world.

I do think the popularity of antis being fine with violence is a symptom of how normalized violence is in our current society. So many antis don't seem to realize that violence is a dark theme and I can't deny how socially normalized violence in media is plays a role in it. It's to the point where it's kind of like "it's not dark, it's just a normal part of media."
And of course, there's nothing wrong with violence in fiction, but it's disturbing how so many people do not realize a ship with fictional murderers IS still a dark ship. You can't sit there and pretend to hate dark ships while actively liking them.

First Part
When you have no ideas that were the papers that your second in command gave you and the only thing she told you was 'think about it' so you decide to go to your literate not yet daughter to tell you what it says but the only thing she communicates is that everyone must sign, so everyone signs
(It were adoption papers and now they are officially her daughters but it was never known until Nightingale appeared to confirm the papers)

It’s interesting how path to nowhere is the only game doesnt receive backlash on the female- over-male character ratio like any other game bc right off the bat the game literally go right up to you and said: ‘these bitches gays’ and it works. Heck the vast majority of the fandom of sapphic/yuri enjoyers
How did they do it?

thank you thank you ive been baiting my friends into picking up this game for years
there are flaws in it but theyre clearly trying
the custody battle is the anniversary event and it is not over the mc's and the ex's child it is over the ex and her homoerotic rival's child (and the ex's homoerotic "knight" who is just trying to keep the child safe while the morally dubious girlbosses fight it out) it's so fucking fun
art below the cut from the event i dont think it's really a spoiler out of context but in case you dont want to see it i assure you it is very gay

Path to Nowhere's MC designs are so good I'm considering playing
#CHRISTINA MY BELOVED#if she didnt already have 4 moms i would adopt her#thats not even the best art but i dont want to spoil you if you want to play which please do i beg you

They do not! There's a special section of the events menu where they have permanent access to events they don't rerun anymore. I think there's currently four there

#its an extended metaphor for how trauma changes you#theres butches who actually are masc not just femmes wearing pants (cinnabar i love you)#theres a character whose gender is 'criminal'#there's a wheelchair user whose disability is completely unrelated to her superpowers#tho they do like to draw her out of her chair in special attires which is annoying#the mc has a habit of adopting all the kids they come across and flirting with the rest (at least the women)#the art is KILLER#you WILL get attached to npcs and you WILL cry#every playable character is fucked up in some way that is fitting to the trauma they have been through#its a dystopia#you play as a prison warden/cop but also cops are explicitly portrayed as morally questionable at absolute best and the system is explicitl#shown as inhumane and unjust and cruel from the beginning#everyone is complex and interesting and PLEASE join us PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE#also the gacha is super forgiving and generous and reruns are frequent so its super f2p friendly#the one thing i would say is that the standard and limited banners all use the same currency#you get a lot of free pulls and all the standard banner characters are really good#it is the only gacha i have ever spent money on because i wanted angell's skin lmao and it was worth it tbh#even though im only a casual player bc of limited time/energy#did i mention that the art is insanely good#its mostly 2d with limited animation but its gorgeous#they clearly spent as much time as other games do rigging and such on just making their art as gorgeous as it can be#it's lovely#extremely f2p friendly again some of the starter characters you get for free are among the best in the game#and they get free skins#emp... i love you#anyway yeah chief has huge tired mom energy#theyre trying to fix the system#oh and theres their ex#their ex and the custody battle....
